State of the artwork 1 Dalian Musuem Proposed by 10 design
2011-2012
The reasons why I want to talk about this building, not only because its so exicing and spectacular visual expression catches my eyes, but also its inspire green ideas and sustainable design that is what I'm really interested in. Basically, this proposal is from 10 Design, for Dalian museum. It's envisioned to be a new civic sculpture for the city located at the heart of the main the governmental district. The building is inspired from the nautical influences and seeks to to become a symbol of technological progress and green evolution. "The building uses a photocatalytic nano-coating of Titanium Dioxide on the outer zinc rain screen to neutralize air pollution and remove dirt. The cleansing reaction is maintained 24 hours a day by using UV lights on the faรงade at night which are powered by PV cells." It's very sussessful to cooporate the green ideas and high technology building system throughout the design. It absolutely is a piece of great artwork that can be analysed as discourse. Eventually, this planning musem would become the sign or symbol of this city.
State of the artwork 2 Siloo o by NL architects in amsterdam 2011-2012
This is the second proposal for the reuse and the design of a silo on the island of zeeburgereiland, 'siloo o' by dutch practice NL architects. I'm really impressed by the idea of reusing the "silo" and a very creative way of funtioning the building's facade, great visualised capture and use for climbing activities. As the structure rises, the triangular motif results in glazed apertures, creating windows with views of the surrounding site. Also the building is very funtional inside..
Urban Oasis By Influx_Studio in Manama, Bahrain
This is a design proposal for a large-scale public square in manama, bahrain. The project focuses on providing a metropolitan platform that not only links the city's historical urban fabric and the new modern together but also encourages pedestrians to meet and stay under a sheltering canopy structure. The feature of 'oginic' in this design proposal emphasis humanity is more centralise now. Also it reveals how computation assists the designers to contribute their creativy on innovating such large scale design and dramatic built form. The designer utilizes computation sikll to develop an idea to achieve better life style and living conditions. In orther word, the building form is not only achieving artisitic beauty but also the funtionality and new idea like 'oginic design' approching.

Wuxi Xidong Park Bridge BY L&A Design Group
L&A Design Group has developed an exciting contemporary bridge design as an architectural highlight of Wuxi Xidong Park, located in Jiangsu province, China. The bridge is planned to be the main connection between the north and south foreshores of the parks lake and allows visitors access to a small island destination that commands views over the water as well as cafÊ facilities and pocket gardens. The important position, jutting out over the central water body, encouraged a dynamic design response. The design team has envisioned a signature iconic structure that is attractive, has a flowing modern form expressing the importance of Wuxi’s relationship with water and is functional in its connections to the island, foreshores and allowing boats to pass underneath its elevation. New tenology and comqutation gives the such outstanding proposal. Again this is another large scale design by using degital drawings. They assist the architectural designers to approach higher expectations of the final outcome, which would be a big step of future architecture's movement.
