Scottish Club Handicap Championship GolfKings were delighted to host the Grand Final of Scotland's biggest participation golf event at the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort in Belek. The Belhaven Best Scottish Club Handicap Championship was won by the Torrance Park Golf Club duo of Grahame Lockhart and Scott Gould during the 36 Hole Final over the National and Carya Golf Courses. Torrance Park’s better inward half of 3 under par was good enough to snatch the title from Kintore Golf Clubs pairing of Brian Gilbert and Robbie Lawrence. National Golf Club is a former host of the Turkish Airlines Open on the Ladies European Tour while Carya Golf has hosted the same event and The Turkish Airlines Challenge on the European Challenge Tour. In November 2016 Carya Golf Club will host the Turkish Airlines Open and the European Tour after 3 successful years at The Maxx Royal Montgomerie Golf Course. TGI Team Challenge 2016 In March this year GolfKings hosted the TGI Team Challenge Event at the Sueno Deluxe Belek Resort with the tournament being played over Sueno Pines and Sueno Dunes Courses. This is now the largest event of its kind in Europe with 71 Teams and 284 people in total competing over the 4 day event. The Winner of the event this year was Team Pudney from Mundesley Golf Club who have been consistent performers over the last 5 years by finishing in the top 7 places every year. The team was made up of the same 4 every year,
Ryan Pudnet, Phil Webster, Jon Batten and Kevin Taylor. Hot on their heels in second place was the dream team, Mackie from Scotscraig Golf Club. Entry for 2017 is now open so please speak to your local TGI Professional about participating in this outstanding event. 5 Gloria Golf Resort Built among beautiful mature gardens, the Gloria Golf Resort has its own private beach stretching for 1km and an Olympic sized swimming pool complete with water slides and swim up bar. Belek Courses
ANTALYA GOLF CLUB Home of Pasha, the first of the courses to open, which is relatively short by modern standards, measuring just over 6300 yards. It offers a wide range of challenges to test golfers of all abilities. PGA Sultan provides a stiff but rewarding test that any keen player will relish and like Pasha, its putting surfaces are second to none.
CARYA GOLF CLUB A firm favourite amongst golfers travelling to Belek, this course has been carved through a mature Pine and Eucalyptus forest and ha rolling sand hills to further define the course. An added benefit to Carya is that you can enjoy golf, day or night, thanks to its floodlights. Set to host the European Tour’s Turkish Airlines Open in 2016.
CORNELIA GOLF CLUB – FALDO COURSE Designed within the natural pine forest, this 27-hole course has three loops of nine to choose from. It is one of the most testing courses in Belek, with superb water features and dog legs on almost every hole.This course also features an impressive Golf Academy which has a fantastic grass range, chipping area and fitting lab.
GLORIA GOLF RESORT The Gloria Resort boasts the largest golf complex in Turkey with 45-holes in total. Gloria Old Course is laid out through majestic umbrella pines while Gloria New is the longer of two with a modern construction and a little more change in elevation. Gloria Verde is a 9-hole course that is very similar to the Old Course but a little more forgiving.
MONTGOMERIE MAXX ROYAL Former home to the Turkish Airlines Open from 2013 to 2015, this course has the fastest greens in Belek and provided some great Tournaments while hosting the European Tour. There are a great variety of holes here, with the 18th hole finish being one of the most challenging in Belek. There’s the recent addition of floodlights to the back nine holes, giving you the option to tee off later in the day.
NATIONAL GOLF CLUB The National is a 27-hole layout with fairways winding through avenues of trees and valleys where good tee shots are required to negotiate the many dog-legs and avoid the well placed water hazards that lie in wait. Former European Challenge Tour venue.
SUENO GOLF CLUB – PINES AND DUNES There are two contrasting courses at Sueno with the Pines being the Championship layout. The Dunes is the more straight forward of the two with the front nine providing a gentle start but the back nine can be tricky. Both the courses feature rolling and undulating fairways which add an additional challenge as there are not many flat lies available.
TITANIC GOLF CLUB Titanic Golf Course has three different loops of 9-holes (River, Mediterranean and Forest) and offers challenges for all players. A large variety of hole designs makes Titanic Golf Club an excellent addition to any Turkey holiday. The new owners have invested a lot in the course and we recommend you include it on your next break.
