Why Wuhan ? Wuhan is the capital of Hubei province in the People's Republic of China. It is the most populous city in Central China. It lies in the eastern Jiang Han Plain at the intersection of the middle reaches of the Yangtze and Han rivers. We would be delighted to show you around and taste the various delicious snacks. There are many modern places of leisure like coffee houses as well.
Why Wuhan University ?
Wuhan University is a key university directly under the administration of the Education Ministry of the People's Republic of China. In 2014, QS World University Rankings ranked it the 335th best university in the world. In 2015, CUAA ranked it the 4th in China. The university has rolling physical features with the scenic Luojia Hill and the beautiful East Lake by its side, seeming in picturesque disorder. Its campus is wooded and green, and has fragrant flowers everywhere all year round. The buildings are in special architectural styles, magnificent and mansion-looking. For the above reasons, Wuhan University is widely known as one of the most beautiful universities in the world.
What is DTD? Project Dare to Dream is an AIESEC WUHAN-run project in association with NGOS and foundations in and around Wuhan. We want to guide the youth to gain the power of dreams through opportunities to get to know the world mutually. We do volunteer activities including trips to mountainous areas to teach. We also organize a team including volunteers both here and abroad to go to schools in villages for a summer camp. Lastly, we also care about exceptional children in Wuhan by holding some activities to make the society pay more attention to them.

Because a lot of children can be seated in the large beautiful classroom to study in the city. But there are still a number of children in the poverty areas who can't share the happiness. They even don't have the basic materials such as clothes, clean drinking water, and health care. It is the society's duty to throw light on these areas and give the poor children the necessary education they deserve. That`s why we’re hoping you can join in DTD project!
What is the timeline? Duration: Jul.11th ~Aug.20th 4-week education program: We believe that education is a holistic process with dreams of children as its focal point. This 4-week education program will help underprivileged children find their own compass, which is an essential guide to their dreams. The course is composed of P.E & Dance class, Self Management, Inner Me Discovery, Disciplinary Knowledge and Global Village, etc.
Jul.20th ~Aug.2nd We will teach in the schools that don’t have good hardware equipment, but with whole bunch of cute kids that hardly speak English. Most of them have never seen any foreigner in their lives. They may seem to be difficult to deal and cooperate with, but this is exactly why we need awesome Eps. Aug.5th~Aug.11th We will spend 7 days on Xile Children’s Rehabilitation Center, which is committed to provide children who have mental or physical defects with rehabilitation and education. You will find, amazingly, that the one whose heart is cured would not be the child, but yourself.
2-week City discovery There are two parts of City Discovery. The first part is City Tour, boasting the brilliant Chinese central plain culture, Chu Culture, which dates back to 1066 BC~233 BC. Wuhan has amazed the world by its ancient bronze smelting technique, embroidery handicraft, literature, painting, dance, etc. With typical Chu Culture features, Hubei Museum, Moshan Park and Boya Platform are definitely your first choices. The second part is City Story located in the downtown. Compared to those big cities like Beijing, Shanghai, the city is less influenced by western culture so that you can experience a purer one. The price here is also cheaper. It will be a magical trip to explore a city that is unlike the big cities.
What activities do we have ? Training Program: Before our education program, we will have a 1-day training program for all EPs and Local Volunteers. Cultural Tour: We will choose some typical cultural tourist resorts, showing you the most mysterious oriental culture. Parties: We will have a welcome party and a farewell party. Besides, you can hold all kinds of parties with the local volunteers as you like.
