Hello!
My name is Miorany Rodríguez Arzón and I am student from Universidad del Turabo in Puerto Rico. I am a fun loving person able to adjust to a working enviroment. In the next few pages you will see a few proyects that i hand picked. I will expose the problem and give my solutions for each proyect, along with the process and critial thinking.

Logo-Animal shelter This work was a logo that I had to do for the “Comunication Studio� class at the Universidad del Turabo. It is a logo for an animal shelter company, it is well known for not putting the animals to sleep. What I wanted to do was show the love that employees have of all kinds of animals.
We had to make a fictitious company, and create an identity for them from scratch. We made the logo and with the logo we created other things like stamps, and a Facebook page. But before doing all that we had to create this logo and then put it in black and white to see if it had any mistakes.. In the stamp we had to add a slogan that represented the company.

The typeface I chose for the logo, was Ailerons since it is simple and elegant; I chose this typeface because I did not want it to steal the attention of the animals. The colors I chose to represent the animals were brown, one darker for the dog and another lighter for the cat, I wanted to represent colors similar to the hair of the animals. I wanted to put the animals in a similar way to a heart to reflect the love that is felt in the company by these animals.

Art Commission I was asked to do an art commission by my boyfriend. He asked me to do a relationship picture of him and me as a new couple. He wanted me to ilustrate the bubbly and innocent side of my personality, and his serious side, being new to a child like partner. I used reference pictures to draw both of the cartoons along with each persons favorite color for their shirts, to have e personal touch in the characters. I wanted to give more of a warm feel to the illustration that’s why ,for the background, I made these dim farie lights in a darker color.

Firts I did a sketch on paper and afterwards i digitalized it.I tried using more neutral colors for the boy to show more of his calm motion with the world. ON the other hand with the girl i used a more girly color like pink. I choose to do hearts in the back to show that they are in fact a relationship and i added the lights to show that the history is bright.

LGBTQ Today This was a Magazine that I had to do for the class of “Comunication studio” 2 at the Universidad del Turabo. The work consists of a cover, back cover, table of contents, author’s description, multiple different announcements and six articles of the LGBT community. We had to choose a title, and from that title we were going to base the whole magazine on it. The teacher explained that he had to have a striking cover with the title of the Magazine. We also had to make multiple announcements that were composed of an image and could have a slogan and / or with the logo of the company or by the logo. We also had to have a lot of articles and an author description. Since there were many elements I wanted typographies that were san serif for the articles so they would not disturb the consumer’s view. The vast majority of the ads I did with images from the internet (with credit) and with vectorized logos.
