It’s too early to say if the Northwest Coast will see last April’s weather-blessed “off the hook” bottomfishing, but two things are for sure in 2022: Plenty of boats will head out of harbors from Westport to Astoria, and from Garibaldi to Gold Beach and beyond, and many big lingcod – like this 33-pounder Andy Anderson caught in very shallow waters – and lots of black rockfish will be brought back to port.
