This season our style pilgrimage took us to a wintry Milan, a city celebrated for centuries as the European capital of fashion, culture and design. While the breathtaking architecture and ancient neighbourhoods lent a striking backdrop and the chilly paved streets provided our runway, it was the local Milanese youth that we drew our strongest inspiration from. Beyond the well-worn tourist trails and classic Italian culture, this generation have taken the celebrated style of the city and made it their own. From the backs of motorbikes we sped through the maze of streets, shown a daring and dynamic Milan with unexpected attitude and a rebellious sense of style - the perfect fit for the Mi Piaci Autumn/Winter 2014 collection. This season sees a new mood balanced between classic European elegance and contemporary urban cool, quality and craftsmanship set off with a rebellious couture feel and grunge-luxe detailing.
