Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is now underway! The World’s Most Magical Celebration 18 month event features new rides, fireworks & entertain ment at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, An imal Kingdom & resort ho tels. This covers everything you need to know, new and rumored additions, changes and more. For the 50th anniversary they de cided the celebration colors are iridescent or how disney likes to call it EARidesent. This milestone is such a big deal, Walt Disney World has created a new
look with an “EARidescence” color and quality. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse have sparkling new looks for the World’s Most Magical Celebration. as hosts of the event, they’ll be dressed for the occasion in custom-made fashions of EARidescent fabric. Highlights of these celebratory designs include beautifully embroidered im pressions of Cinderella Castle backed by fireworks, as well as a brocade in multi-toned, EARidescent fabric — all punctuated with pops of gold. The whole park is covered in this color from the cas tel, decor, characters, floats, merchandise, even food. Now lets go over the new decor at the park. In Magic Kingdom, you’ll also see various deco rations for the 50th,
including Cinderella Castle decked out with 113 pieces of jabots & swag, blue bunting, golden swirls, and a 50th anniversary crest as part of its Royal Makeover for the World’s Most Magical Cele bration. Beyond this, there are 50th banners throughout the park, as well as Pumpkin coaches on the lampposts that merge the celebratory. Additionally, there are 50 special golden character sculptures. The castel will light up with becautiful projections displayed on the parks icon for a few mintues. It only happens once a night and is very quick. Make sure you keep an eye on the time that this Becon of Magic takes place. Back to the day time festivities. En tertainment plays a big role in the World’s Most Magical Celebration, and the latest addition is Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire 50th An niversary Stage Show. This takes place several times per
day in front of Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom. Be fore and after the stage show, you can see numerous char acter cavalcades, the newest of which is Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade. There’s also the new “Mickey’s Cele bration Cavalcade” in Magic Kingdom, which is performed several times throughout the day. This features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale sporting their sparkling new EARidescent fashions for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. Also don’t forget, for you resort guests, you can get into the parks 30 mintues earlier than other guests and you will be able to see the Opening State Show. This takes place right when
the park is about to open for all quests. Now lets talk rides. The new ride that will be coming to the park spring 2023 is TRON Lightcyle Run Roller Coaster. This roll er coaster was announced 5 years ago, it is a clone of Shanghai Disneyland’s TRON Lightcycle Power Run. It is based on the Tron franchise, the attraction takes guests on a ride through the Grid on their own light cycle. Finally the merch! There are many different collections like the Celebration Collection and EARidescent Collection. All of these will include new ears, shirts, jearsys, plush es, and so much more. Since the celebration will last 18 months there will be new porducts as we go along as well as restocks. Lets talk about the new must haves coming to the park. These ears on the left are the staple for the 50th aniversa ry. A beautiful navy blue with EARidescent gems all aroung topped with a yellow minnie bow. Everyone always needs a spirit jersey to go with there trip to the parks. This jersey to my right is the perfect addition to your col lection to commemorate your trip for the 50th. It is navy with a EARidescent Mickey with a big 50 on the castel in the bottom conner. Saying the worlds most magicl cel ebration. Finally, everyone loves starbucks. They did a collab with Dis ney to bring you this EARidescent cup.
Disney’s Enchantment
Time to say fairweel to Disneys Happly Ever After and Hello to Dis ney Enchantment. Disney Enchantment is a fireworks and projection mapping show which debuted at Disney’s Magic Kingdom on October 1, 2021. The show uses music and characters from a wide variety of Disney and Pixar films to tell its story along with fireworks, pyrotechnics, lasers, and projection map ping. It is the successor to the popular Happily Ever After
and adds even more projec tion effects across Cinderella Castle and now also down Main Street U.S.A. similar to what you can see in the Dis neyland Forever show. The concept art shown above is how the fireworks and projec tions will expand down Main Street U.S.A. Now you will have more options on where to see the firworks.Besides Disney classics, the music also includes a new original song from Philip Lawrence and Kayla Alvarez entitled:
“You Are the Magic.” The tim ing of this new show is key because it was created to kick off the Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration with a bang! Disney has been pre paring for the “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” for years and they are hoping it is the perfect welcome to all returning and new guests. From start to finish, the Disney Enchantment night time spectacular has a show length of 15 minutes and 40 seconds. That is
There’s a new sherif in town
approximately 2 minutes shorter than its predecessor Happily Ever After. There are 14 songs in Disney Enchant ment, including a new original song: “You Are the Magic.” GRAMMY-winning songwriter and music pro ducer Philip Lawrence wrote the original song for the show which will compliment the fireworks and immersive projection effects. Here is the list in order of all the music in the show:
“You Are the Magic”
“When You Wish Upon a Star” (Pinocchio)
“Almost There (Princess and the Frog)
Just Around the Riverbend (Pocahontas)

Under the Sea (The Little Mermaid)
You’ve Got a Friend in Me (Toy Story/Toy Story 4) A Whole New World (Aladdin) You Can Fly (Peter Pan) Into the Unknown (Frozen 2) Night on Bald Mountain/Ave Maria (Fantasia) I Am Moana (Moana) Reprise of “You Are the Magic” Even though they couldn’t fit songs from every film into Disney Enchantment, there are a total of 36 films rep resented by the character projections or music during the show. Here is a list of all the films that have rep resentation during Disney Enchantment: Aladdin ,Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Big Hero 6, Brave, Cars, Cinderella, Coco, Dum bo, Finding Nemo/Finding Dory, Frozen II, Hercules, Inside Out, Lady and the Tramp, Lilo and Stitch, Luca, Moana, Monsters University, Mulan, Onward, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Ratatouille, Raya and the Last Dragon, Sleep ing Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,

Starting Au gust 22, 2022, a new ver sion of the Magic Kingdom nighttime firework show “Disney Enchantment” will debute which includes a tribute to Walt Disney and the construction of Walt Disney World. The new ver sion of Disney Enchantment includes an updated intro duction with new projections of Walt Disney introducing the “Florida Project,” Roy Disney’s Walt Disney World dedication ceremony, and it finishes up with Mickey Mouse telling guests “you are the magic!” A nice little added touch to bring some nostalgia back. Fireworks are one of the things that makes a trip to the Walt Disney World parks so special, and it’s a rite of passage to gather in front of Cinderella Castle with your friends and fami ly at the end of a long day of riding attractions and tour ing the park. So make sure to make some room in your itinerary for this spectacular night time event.
“Takes guests on a journey filled with adventure, wonder, and empowerment. Inspiring everyone to believe in magic.”
Ec pt Whats new for the 50th?
Don’t worry we’re cele brating the 50th anna virsary here too. There is new food, drinks, fireworks, attractions, merch and more. First lets talk about the new firworks for the 50th. The new night time spectacular is called Harmonious. They built water barges in the mid dle of World Showcase Lag on. During the day they are still visiable sadly but have a 50th logo on them. This magnificent show brings to World Showcase Lagoon an innovative combination of floating giant screens, cho reographed moving foun tains, lights, pyrotechnics and lasers in a 360-degree view. Enter amazing worlds inspired by Moana, Aladdin, Coco, Brave, The Lion King, Mulan, The Princess and
the Frog and other classic stories. Colorful images and effects dance and change as Harmonious weaves famil iar Disney music and stories together. Through unique perspectives as diverse as the world itself, Disney songs hop from language to language as the show brings people from different parts of the world together to unlock the magic of possibility. This is a must see night time firwork show it lasts about 20 minitues and can be seen all around World Showcase. Epcot has always been about uniting us together in some shape or form and this is it. Come and be dazzled by all of it as you discover how Disney music and stories have the power to inspire and unite us all, over coming any language or
border. Make sure you see it before its gone. Rumor has it that it will be gone after the 18 month celebration is over. There is also another night time little show you must go see. It is called the Becaon of Magic. Lights shine from within Spaceship Earth’s reflective panels as stardust emerges to symbolize bea cons of possibility and op timism. This only happens once so you need to keep an eye on that clock so you don’t miss it. Now, you can’t for get about the 50th Statues. The ones that are in Epcot are, Figment, Dante & Mi guel, Rocket Raccoon & Baby Groot, Pua & Hei Hei, and Olaf & Bruni. Remember you can activate these by waving your magic band+ in front of it to see some magic.
We’ve gone over a lot what could possably be next? Food and drinks? Nope go to the next page to find that out. Lets talk rides. In Epcot we have two new attractions open and two on the way! How exciting! The first at traction that debuted the first day of the 50th, October 1st. That attraction is Remys Ratatouille Adventure in the France Povillion. In Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, rid ers “shrink” to rat-size and embark on a journey across Chef Gusteau’s restaurant kitchen in Paris. The ride bombards guests with the sights, sounds, and smells of the kitchen as they’re chased through it on their way to safety! It is a family friendly ride good for all ages. Now for the one we’ve all been waiting for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! Us Disney world lovers never thought we’d see the day where a marvel cocept ride or even marvel charaters for that matter would be at the florida parks. This is due to rights issues with universal just down the road. Anways, back to the ride, WE GOT IT! This rides offfical opened May 27th 2021. The ride brings a series of firsts to Disney World. Cosmic Rewind is Ep cot’s first-ever roller coaster and it is also Disney’s first reverse launch on any coast er. The ride is also Disney World’s first Marvel-themed attraction, housed in Epcot’s new “other-world” showcase pavilion. If those weren’t already enough highlights to catch your attention, the
attraction is like a giant dance party in space and just might be the best time you’ve ever had on a ride. Cosmic Rewind is a highspeed, thrilling coaster in the dark that takes guests on an adventure through time and space alongside the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Dubbed both a “storycoaster” and “omnicoaster,” the ride’s 360-degree rotating ride vehicles turn to direct riders’ attention to the attraction’s combination of screens and physical sets. A highly im mersive queue and pre-show starring the Hollywood A-list cast from Guardians of the Galaxy Vols. 1, 2 and (forth coming) 3 kick off the expe rience. Guests then board “starjumpers,” the ride vehi cles, and reverse launch into what feels like one big inter galactic disco. Every time you ride it is a little diffrent. There are six diffrent songs you can get while on the ride, and they do alternate. Those songs are “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps, “Conga” by Gloria Estefan, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears, “I Ran” by A Flock of Seagulls, and “One Way or Another” by Blondie. Now for the other two attractions that have no set release dates. There will be Moanas Journey of Water which is a interactive area where “guests interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring set ting.” Lastly a new revamp of the play povillion.

Each Becon is rep resented by the parks icon Here sadly, the becon isnt the sorting hat that once was the icon of the park. But don’t worry that doesn’t mean there isn’t something that reprsents the park. The Hollywood Tower of Terror is this parks Icon. Once a night lights and projections will cover this amazing ride with glitters with EARidescence, evoking the glimmer and shimmer of the golden age of imagination and adven ture. An mal Kingdom
Whats new during the 50th?
Finally, the last stop on this wild update, Ani mal Kingdom. Surpris ingly for this one beging the largest park it doesn’t have the most things for the cel ebration. That doesn’t mean the fun stops here. Right now, once-in-a-lifetime 50th offerings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom include new expe riences, celebratory anni versary sips and bites, musthave merchandise, dazzling park decorations and more. Today, we’re sharing a spe cial look at our magical 50th anniversary celebration at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. At the park’s Discovery River Theater, the magic of nature and Disney storytelling are hitting new heights with “Disney KiteTails.” It’s all set to happen several times daily
at the Discovery River The ater, near DinoLand U.S.A. As you make your way into the space, you’re joined by a team of performers bringing with them a colorful collection of oversized props and kites adorned with Disney ani mal friends from “The Little Mermaid,” “a bug’s life” and “Finding Nemo.” Original, worldbeat arrangements of favorite Disney tunes fill the air, and the excitement builds toward the launch of an im pressive show of kites over the lagoon. Watercraft zoom into view, pulling with them dynamic kite trains and enormous, three-dimension al kites depicting familiar characters from “The Lion King” or “The Jungle Book.” From one performance to another, you may see
Baloo the bear dancing in the sky or Zazu the red-billed hornbill chasing after Sim ba. These remarkable kites, some as large as 30 feet in length, are inflated by mov ing through the air, allowing characters like King Louie or Timon and Pumbaa to soar like never before! Each of these performances will last about 10 minutes. Whats great about this show is that you don’t need to be sitting directly in front of it to see the show. You can be walk ing around the park and all of a suden see a kite in the sky. So keep your eyes pilled you’ll never know what will be going on when you’re not looking. Another added thing to the park are Character Calvalcades.
Not just any old regular calavolcades, these are boats! Since the closures regular meet and greats hadnt re turned yet. So now through out the day you may see many of your favorite char acters going for a boat ride along the Discovery River. These characters include Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, Dale, and Goofy, Mulan and Meeko, and Timon and Rafi ki. Plus, if you’re lucky you may not see a character but a live performance of the boat. They are called Discovery Island Drummers. They will bust a beat as they float along the river, so keep your ears pealed. There are saldy no fireworks here. This is due to the disturbance it will cause on the animals. The last thing we want is for them to become stressed or agetated. But no need to be upset, you can still see a Becon of Magic here at the park.
The icon of this park is the Tree of Life which is locat ed at the front of the park. Here you will be able to see the short night time lights that illuminate the tree for the celebration. A warm and glorious light emanates from the Tree of Life, as enchanted fireflies gather to call forth the magic of nature. Set those alarms because it only happens once a day and you don’t want to miss it. You can also see many of the 50th an nivearsary golden character statues spread out around the park. The character statues included are Simba, Timon & Pumbaa, Bambi & Thumper, and Nemo & Dory. Remember you can activate these by waving your mag ic band+ in front of it to see some magic. Also another reminder old magic bands sadly won’t allow you to inter act with them. So make sure you’re band is compatable.
Noe lets talk food! The magic is also calling all Foodies to the Walt Disney World Re sort 50th anniversary cele bration. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney chefs and mixologists have creat ed delights that include a touch of EARidescent shim mer – and here’s where to find them: Drinkwallah has a Hand-dipped 50th Celebration Mickey Premium Bar. Restaurantosaurus has Cheese Fries with Walt’s Chil and Walt’s Favorite Chili on Foot-long Hot Dog. Finally at Tiffins Restaurant they have a 50th Celebration Chocolate Gâteaux. It is a almond praline, white chocolate crémeux, ga nache, and choc olate-South Afri can cream liqueur sauce. All must trys for the 50th.
Kite Tails
New colorful characters fly across the sky
Disney World’s 50th Anniversary brought several new shows and attractions to the parks. One of those was a fun show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom featuring kites in the shape of Disney characters. Dis ney KiteTails has characters from The Lion King and The Jungle Book as intricate 3D kite creations, flying above the Discovery River Lagoon throughout the day. They also incourprate animal puppets
on the floor that brings the show all togther. The show lasts about 20 mintues and is a perfect show for the little ones. If you’ve loved this show as much as we do, we unfortunately have some very sad news. Disney Kite Tails will be ending after Sep tember 30th, 2022. Disney’s website has been updated to announce that the final per formance will be on that date. Many people are sad to see it go but hopefully we will get
something else for the 50th anniversary. As the show comes to a close we decid ed to interview a few cast members that have seen or worked there while its been going. We wanted to know what their favorite part of the show is. Just a little way of us showing the show a token of appractation for all the smiles and laughs it brought us. So Farwell Kite Tails thank you for eveyrhting from all of us we love you!

It is a vanilla Chiffon Cake with Celebration Blue Mousse, Blueberry Jam, and Lemon Curd. The cake is light and fluffy with many layers, with sweet blueberry jam that perfectly complements the lemon curd. The curd cuts through the sweetness of the jam. The geode is made of rock candy and is sprin kled with EARidescent glit ter. The medallion is made of milk chocolate. The chocolate really doesn’t do anything for the cake but the medallion ties in the 50th design. The outside is made of fondant. This cake was fantastic. The flavor profile worked so well and the presentation is per fect for this sparkling occa sion. Don’t skip this! This isn’t up your alley? They have many other seet treats there ot just go to one of the many other reasturats/bakeries iI listed in the begining.
Now it’s time to play! Here for the 50th anniversary theme you can go do things like the Aerophile World Leader in Ballon Flight, AMC Dine-In theater, Drawn to life pre sented by Cirque du Soleil, and Vintage Amphicar Tours. Looking for a post-meal ad venture? Take a 20-minute guided tour on the waters of Lake Buena Vista while rid ing in a vintage Amphicar—a rare amphibious vehicle that can drive on land and float on water. Book tours from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily (weather permitting). The Price is $125 per car and each car accommodates 3-4 people. I know this is on the pricer side, but how many people can say they drove a car on water. Got to try all the unique things Disney has to offer, especially for the 50th anniversary!
