Red Sea Development
2020- 2022
LOCATION: Khuff, Saudi Arabia
As part of the overall Red Sea Development, Southern Dunes is an ultra high-end, luxury retreat that is nestled within serene sand dunes. This project is designed to “disappear” into the site and is combining the essence of a true luxury resort with the ultimate ecofriendly approach. It is dark sky approved as well. This project consists of forty tent-style villas, hotel rooms, a pool area, a banquet facility, and “Sunset Restaurant”. SKS was in charge of taking this project from landscape concept through construction document set. Miranda was an integral part in this project from start to beginning, especially when it came to drawing production- including photoshop renderings for the DD set, construction details and grading plans for this site.
Schooner Bay
Project Manager; SKS Studio
Sterling Global Financial 2021- 2022
LOCATION: Crossing Rock, Bahamas
Miranda worked with clients on a new design for an amenities area for a small vacation rental space. This was a quick exercise on how to incorporate design amenities such as a bar, restaurant and pool within the existing conditions. Hand sketching was important in quickly studying all the elements and how they interact. This project is still in concept phase and on hold.

2018- 2020
LOCATION: Boco Raton, Florida
In the heart of Florida, this developer was committed to providing the community with a beautiful and sensible senior living facility. The core program of the landscape design for this building were the three courtyards. Each courtyard has a different purpose- Swimming pool courtyard, the great lawn and wellness courtyard, and the assisted living courtyard. Miranda was the project manager for this project and became quite accustomed to healthcare design. Every detail was considered and dictated through the lens of healthcare and senior mobility. This project gave Miranda the healthcare design experience and she continues to work on senior living facilities. This project had a number of city design requirements that Miranda was in charge of studying and which also guided the design.
Mixed Use Development Master Plan
Project Manager; TreanorHL
Kansas State University Foundation/ Kansas State University, 2015
LOCATION: Manhattan, Kansas
I n conjunction with the Kansas State Foundation and KSU Housing & Dining Services, TreanorHL developed an 18-acre master plan to expand housing through a multi-phase build-out of the former Lafene Health Center site.
Four concepts were presented to the client using 3D site plan renderings, perspective drawings, and programmatic tables to outline unit counts, percentages, and land use. The client selected two of the options for further consideration. The concepts included housing, parking, and student amenities on the site while considering the constraints of the site such as topography, setback restrictions, utilities, and existing buildings.
The landscape schemes all focused on connecting the buildings on site through effective open space and pathway systems. The two schemes that were ultimately picked had slight differences in building uses. Both revolved around a “green pedestrian boulevard” that connected the site to the rest of the campus’ open space. This was to ensure the success of circulation as well as the students wellbeing and desire to be outside with lawns and vegetation.
Miranda contributed immensely to this project in that she managed all renderings and visual material for meetings and discussions. It was an important role because she took the information that was spoken in the meetings and conveyed that progression in the most accurate way.
Mixed Use Development Master Plan
Fort Leavenworth Site Analysis and Master Plan
Project Manager; TreanorHL
Combined Arms College; Fort Leavenworth
2017
LOCATION: Leavenworth, Kansas
The United States Army Combined Arms Center is situated along the Missouri River and is known for it’s unique setting atop a bluff with a picturesque campus. This campus has been referred to as the “Intellectual Center of the Army” and often becomes home base for the majority of field grade officers across the Army.
Our team was in charge of developing packages for both site analysis and a comprehensive campus master plan based on our findings. Existing information was gathered by on-site visits, surveying, and resources given to the team. We had a series of charrettes with the Ft. Leavenworth Generals in order to develop phases of design for campus growth and beautification.
Miranda was a crucial member of the team as she attended all client meetings, compiled the packages for delivery, and coordinated with architects and designers to develop renderings.

The Braided River: Reimagining the edge
University of Oregon BLA Comprehensive Project Studio, 2014
INSTRUCTOR: Robert Melnick
LOCATION: Lawrence, KS
The presence of the Kansas River carves into the urban interface of Lawrence, KS while showing signs of degradation and channelization by evidence of levees, polluted water, lack of ecologic interaction, and defined edges that consist of post-industrial sites. In this project, Miranda was interested in exploring the potential of the river, both in its historic and present state. The design manifests through the pattern language of the historic braided prairie river located in the downtown district of Lawrence. This was Miranda’s senior thesis project where she focused on landscape theory.
