Developing a New Urban Density: The Spine will touch base on different aspects that will help Yaruqui develop an efficient city through it local roots and attract more citizens: - Transportation: adding a transportation hub and a bus system that flows through the spine. - Research: building institutions that will increase in the education of agriculture as well as city growth. - Agriculture: adding a greenhouse hub, excess roof top gardens and celebrating the unique Ecuadorian crops along the spine for shade and experience through different scales. - Sustainability: Adding methods that collects rain water and cleaning the minerals for them through research and education. Solar energies will start producing through solar panels found on roofs as well as louver designs. Wind energy will be produced through windmills located in the “hugging green area to help with efficient sustainable energy production. - Culture: adding libraries along the Spine and the roots to value the historic and cultural values of Ecuador and most importantly Yaruqui. Yaruqui is also known for growing unique crops such as red bananas. Therefore, there will be areas of agriculture dedicated to learning about their crops. - The people: creating different spaces that convey different scales to activate social and gathering lands for the people. The ideas of courtyards and rooftop gardens will develop different elevated spaces and interesting urban sections.
