Architectural Game
‘Arch-Snatch it’ is an architectural-based game which tests the ability of young architects to differentiate between 8 different architectural styles throughout the centuries quickly. Each player is dealt a hand of cards. In order to win you must be the first player to get rid of all of your cards. Each turn, all of the players reveal one of their cards. If two cards have the same architecturak style, those
Game objectives: -Testing sense of observation and quick reflex actions. -Tests the ability to quickly see, observe and identify different architectural styles quickly. -Tests the ability to identify the ornaments and charactaristics of each architectural style -For a more advanced level, tests the ability of the players to identify the period to which each architectural style belong.
How to play ? -Cards are shuffled and dealt to each player face down, ensuring that all players have an equal number of cards in their stacks. -A wooden(or rubber) cylinder called a Totem is placed in the center of the table, equidistant from all players. -Any remaining cards that cannot be distributed equitably are placed under the totem in an area known as the Pot. -Players take turns playing the top card from their stacks in a clockwise rotation. -Each player does this by flipping their card over in the direction of their opponents, so that their opponents get the first glance at their card to avoid unfair advantage, The card is then quickly placed in front of the player’s pile. Thus players form discard piles in front of their piles of cards as the game progresses. -When a player plays a card with a picture of similar architectural style of another player’s top card, the two players must duel to grab the totem in the center as quickly as possible. -The loser of the duel takes the opponent player’s card, as well as his recently played card and places them at the bottom of his deck. -The loser of the round plays the next card. There are also two action cards that come into play: -Fast Grab: Arrows pointing inwards. All players may reach for the totem. The player who successfully grabs the totem puts his discarded cards in the pot and plays the next round. -All Flip: Arrows pointing outwards. The player who plays this card counts to three. On three, all players play a card simultaneously, and if there are any 2 cards with the same architectural style, the fastest to grab the totum wins and his card goes to the other player’s card deck. If a player commits one of the following errors, or Fouls, he/she must take all the cards currently in play (the discard piles of all the other players plus all the cards in the pot) and place them at the bottom of their deck. -Grabbing the totem when you are not supposed to according to the active rules. This is the most common error, due to several symbols being similar to each other. -Knocking over, dropping, or otherwise disturbing the totem. -Uncovering the top card towards him/herself. -Using violence against other players to obtain the totem (e.g. knocking an opponent’s hand away, blocking their access to the totem, a knee in the box, etc.) The winner is the first player to get rid of all their cards and have them passed onto other players or the pot.
2
Working Drawings: The Ergonomics of the totem was designed according to the human hand’s dimensions . This is essential for the comfortability of the players while playing and the ease and flexibility of the game, as well as it serves the game’s objectives which is snatching the tutom as quickly as possible. 8.00 cm

Form Findings-
The size of the cards is designed to be easily and smoothly held by the grip of the hand. This allows the players to have well control of their cards and prevents the visibility of the pictures of the cards to the players. The dimensions of the cards also gives the opportunity for clear preview of pictures of buildings/ornaments with different proportions.

Scattered
Located at the heart of Barcelona (Valcarca and Boulivad street) , SCATTERED is a mixed use building (restaurant, fablab and dwelling units ) . The building succeeded in connecting the program while having a scattered manner at the same time. Connected with a linear park, the scatterness of the park’s organization reflects the same idea of the building .

emblematic tower
With a chance to approach the new design era, towers have been known to increase the land value of any city. The Madinaty Emblematic tower is located in the city of Madinaty in the administrative area. The weather conditions and the human experience work as the foundation of its design, as well as its emblematic form which acts as a landmark and a self-sustainable building.Integrating with the surronding environment, the tower is a mixed-use building including administrative and commercial .functions and a tourist attraction spot at its summit

According to the sun and wind analysis and simulation, it was concluded that the climate conditions in the region is hot from April to October with only 4 months with a moderate tempreture. As well as the dry weather with low humidity which is .there most of the year The wind flows from the North direction mainly with Windrose Analysis

FORM FINDING according to the site analysis and the climate conditions, the following mass was form finding was concluded. Also, the idea of having a unique emblematic tower in the low skyline neighboorhood and having a building functioning as a landmark, was an aspect of .change in the form finding
MADINATY EMBLEMATIC TOWER
After studying the site analysis, sun and wind simulation on the plot, this clustered design was achieved. The Purpose of the urban design, function distribution and furnishing was to reach a level of Thermal Comfort in the plot. This was achieved by the special sloped trees designm which thow shade infront of it, as well as introducing water features within the plot to cool down the weather with the evaporative cooling. Also shading elements were used on the southern side to provide extra protection from the sun as this area is not shaded by

MADINATY EMBLEMATIC TOWER FACADE DESIGN The Facade design decisions were taken upon several aspects; concept, form, solar and wind analysis. As I wanted to preserve the emblematic form and envelope of the building, I worked on the facade treatment by using PHOTOCHROMIC GLASS WINDOWS that contains electrolytes and electromic layer which changes the glass from a clear to tinted state from the outside according to the solar radiation exposure. Thus, thermal comfort in achieved inside the building and the facade gains a dynamic range of different glass shades. Also, sun Glass TCO Ion storage film Electrolyte TCO Electrochromic layer Glass

After studying the wind analysis, it was concluded that the direction in from the North, Northwest. Accordingly, Windows were designes on the North and south elevation to promote cross ventilation within .the building

MADINATY EMBLEMATIC STRUCTURE DESIGN The structure of the building is heavy steel frame tube with a reinforced concrete core. I wanted to highlight on the idea of having an emblematic tower acting as a landmark, and this was achieved by highlighting the form verticality with the heavy steel columns which is acting as a ,main structure

LUXOR | CONTEMPORARY ART CENTER
THE WALL
Located in Luxor, THE WALL is an ART CENTER project built for artists locally and globally. THE WALL reflects the immaterial sense of Luxor, from its majestic pharonic temples which keeps the people in owe, to its breathtaking nature scenary. And with its rammed earth walls, The wall acts as a huge artistic canvas which reflects the identity of the building and its function.
44 SITE PLAN 1 : 10000
SITE PLAN 1 : 10000
Started with stright high walls to deliver the sense of Luxor Immateriality in the project.
Walls curved to respond to the surronding context to create spaces with different heirarchies and to attract people into the building from the surronding youth center.
Masses are formed corresponding to the curvature of the walls, assuring the linear connnectivity of the site.
Curved walls are adjusted and added to define the different spaces heirarchy ( Public, private and semi private)
The height of the walls are adjusted corresponding to the functions of the building and curved with different heights to reflect the circulation of the building.

CROSS VENTILATION DIAGRAM
At day time, Tempreture is very high, windows are closed, so the air passes through underground ducts and its tempreture is lowered by the thermal mass of the ground by radiation, then the cool air passes through ducts into the building and the warm air is replaced and escapes through wind tower
49
At night time, due to the lower tempreture and the high wind speed from the north. and the north west direction, the windows are opened and the cool are enters the building, and it absorbs the heat radiated by the thermal mass of the rammed earth wall
