he pandemic has been an exacting period for humanity. Since the advent of COVID-19, it has caused economic disruption worldwide. Consequently, the business operations took a 180-degree turn globally. Regardless of being a giant organization or an emerging startup, the companies altered the operations to survive in the pandemic. While the healthcare industry is striving for the cure, other sectors continued to offer the services while working from home and the supply chain was providing all the necessities online. All sectors were unified in the efforts to provide impeccable services to the consumers. Demanding times like these tend to test the capability of organizations. While many struggled with the changes, few companies adapted to the change and diversified their portfolio, and persisted towards growth. In our latest issue, “The 10 Most Admired Companies to Watch in 2020”, we have featured such persistent organizations that are flourishing in the forefront. These companies are becoming more diverse and comprehensive and utilizing a novel business strategy to enhance performance. Also, in our enlightening article section, “Impact of CO2” our writers have entailed the adverse effects of CO2 on our thinking capabilities. On the other hand, “Corporate Environmental Responsibility” covers the need to balance the economic growth and clean environment in order to reduce the carbon footprint.

We Are Trusted By Hundreds Of Companies Across The World For Their Language Needs, As We Understand The Benefits Of Communicating In A Native Language.
T
he transition of the language training market from offline to online has been fast-tracked due to the new norms such as social distancing, quarantine, and remote working. Responding to the surge in the demand for online training, many traditional offline players have shifted their solutions online. However, other than just adding a tech solution for the virtual classrooms and moving a teacher from a physical classroom to a computer, good remote training requires a new set of expertise and capabilities. Moreover, the way training is delivered, content, interaction, and several other factors need to be changed to provide a good user experience. Among the numerous online language training providers
14
emerging globally, mYngle is distinguishing itself with its avid experience and proven capabilities to deliver successful online training. Trusted by hundreds of companies across the world for their language learning needs, mYngle is one of the first companies to provide oneto-one teaching of all languages over the internet. The Amsterdam- based firm is on a mission to bring highquality language education to learners in any part of the world. Customized Language Training Programs mYngle offers customized language training programs through video conferencing in 45 different languages
anytime, anywhere. The lessons provided by the company are one-on-one, with highly-qualified native coaches and are related to the learner’s job position. These programs are especially useful for busy professionals who need language training to be successful in their international business, and for companies that want great learning results and a transparent and controllable learning process to make their investment successful. For these solutions and the immense contribution to online learning, mYngle has been rewarded with numerous awards such as Accenture Innovation Award, European Ventures Summit Award, Benelux Venture Summit Award, and many more. Uncompromised Quality and Customer Service Alongside customized solutions, mYngle's customer-centric approach is one of the keys behind its proliferance over the
years. The company strives to continuously improve by constantly listening to the users' feedback. This approach is essential especially in an industry such as online education, which is already in an evolution phase and the unawareness or inexperience of the customers is a more significant challenge than the competition. Furthermore, mYngle ensures the uncompromised quality of teachers, content, and tools—which has made it a go-to service provider with highly satisfied customers. “Our average lessons' scores are 4.9/5. Results speak for themselves,” said Marina Tognetti, the Founder and CEO at mYngle Rising above the Odds At mYngle, Marina's role is to develop a long-term vision

and drive the company towards it. Alongside, she also fosters the company culture & values and guides the team. As a Founder/CEO of mYngle, she has received several recognitions such as 50 Most Inspiring Women Tech Leaders in Europe, 50 Most Inspiring Women in the Dutch Technology Sector, Iconic Women Creating a Better World for All and many more. However, establishing mYngle from scratch was a challenge for her as the tech-startup was disrupting the traditional education industry. There were impediments such as the immature market and stereotypes that consumers had about education. Combating several such challenges, she has driven the company forward. Presently, as the world goes digital due to the pandemic, the approach towards online learning is also changing. “Now online education is setting the standards in terms of quality and
18
flexibility. And we have been part of that. This has been for me the greatest professional achievement to date,” she adds. Making the Experience Count The COVID-19 outbreak caused disruptions to many businesses. Many of the traditional offline players were challenged by the sudden shift. However, mYngle was among the lucky ones as it already offered remote solutions. Moreover, the company knew that migrating existing classroom programs to digital was not only the mere application of the existing technology solutions but it required a more fundamental rethinking of the total learning experience, from trainers to content. mYngle leveraged its proven experience in the online learning industry to survive and be at the 'right place' during these testing times.
Driving Virtual Connectivity and Culture While building mYngle, Marina used to say, “If our customers can learn a language at a distance, we should be able to also run a company at a distance.” Consequently, many of mYngle's key processes such as CRM and programming were done at a distance and the company was used to managing remote teams. However, as the pandemic highlighted the importance of employee's well-being, mYngle emphasized on encouraging and supporting its employees. It focused on support, empowerment, and empathy to keep a sense of belonging and togetherness among the employees. The company also ensured a steady stream of communication, from managers and between the team members, to keep them updated on what's going on and drive more virtual connectivity and culture.
Online Learning: Intrinsic Part of the New Normal The adaption to online solutions is expected to be continued post-pandemic. Likewise, the online learning market is also expected to accelerate in the near future. Specifically for corporate language training–mYngle's primary service –there are two opposite forces at play. In the short term, barriers such as budgetary constraints due to economic instability and anxiety due to pandemic among learners might hamper the adaption to online solutions. However, in the medium and longer-term, online training is expected to grow significantly. The Learning and Development budgets will shift from offline to online learning as learners who embrace online learning during the pandemic might stick to it after the pandemic as well. Consequently, online learning promises to be an intrinsic part of the new normal.

On a Drive to Innovate Diabetic Healthcare Solutions
T
he medical device and diagnostic industry is constantly growing and changing with the new technologies that are being introduced in the market. This industry strives to create new and innovative discoveries to diagnose disease states as soon and as effectively as possible. There is a real need for continuous non-invasive measurement of blood sugar levels for diabetics and the 1/3 of the world population that is borderline diabetic. As a result, there have been various inventions to make the monitoring of glucose levels easy, convenient, and safer for the diabetic patients. Established in 2016, Alertgy provides the first non-invasive, wearable, continuous glucose monitor and alert system to accurately measure blood glucose. Alertgy's DeepGluco™ is a wrist wearable device for fully automated, continuous glucose monitoring, with pre-set alerts for low or high glucose levels, set by the patient. Inspiration behind Alertgy The true inspiration behind establishing Alertgy by the Founder and CEO, Marc Rippen was a personal traumatic experience. One Sunday morning Marc found his wife

in a catatonic state in their living room, getting ready to slip into a diabetic coma. Through his quick realization that she was suffering from the effects of super low blood sugar and his quick steps in correcting that, he saved her life. After researching what was available for alerting folks like his wife of such occurrences Marc realized that none existed. The biggest unmet need in the diabetic medical device market was for an automated glucose monitor and alert system that was practical, non-invasive, inexpensive, and easy to

use. Marc set up Alertgy to meet this challenge and in just a few months demonstrated that it was possible to beat it. Alertgy has developed the system which is very economical and most importantly meets the needs of the diabetic patients as well as borderline diabetics. Marc put together a strong team of clinicians, engineers, data scientists, entrepreneurs, business leaders and scientists, empowering each team member to give it their best. He considers himself responsible for the growth of the employees on an individual level, training them to think out of the box in solving complex problems, and helping them achieve their goals on both personal and professional levels. Marc said that his background of being a field engineer who provided solutions to other companies has helped him lay the bricks for his company. The ultimate aim of Alertgy, as declared by Marc is to provide the billions of peoples whose lives are directly or indirectly effected by diabetes a means to save lives, dramatically improve the quality of life, as well as prevent diabetes on a global scale. Since the team is a crucial key for any leading company, Marc says he is blessed to have a strong creative and supportive

SCRIBE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS
Simplifying Healthcare Through Innovative Technologies
S
cribe Technology Solutions' roots date back to 2001 when Mark D. Boyce (CEO and President) noticed that very small amount of the information generated during a patient encounter was used to better the delivery and documentation of healthcare. He noticed that both providers and patients would benefit by combining technology to capture and later to manipulate and analyze that information. Consequently, with an innovative approach of using patient data to better inform providers in order to improve their productivity and profitability, he decided to step into the healthcare field and established Scribe Technology Solutions. As technology was not solving the issues presented to the providers, the company first looked at better ways to complete clinical documentation focusing on Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and patient encounters. Recently, Scribe has found solutions to improve its billing, coding, and revenue cycle management solutions for all healthcare providers. Moreover, the widespread adaption of mobile phones and devices provided a foundation for the company to connect its innovative technology to the providers–giving them a 'platform in their hands' that would improve their profitability, productivity, and patient care.
34
Wide Spectrum of Solutions Scribe provides a complete family of patient encounter workflow solutions to record, manage, complete, and communicate clinical documentation that can be combined in any way to solve the individual organization's needs. The company works with each practice to learn about the providers' workflow and goals to engineer the processes that fit best. It premiere solutions include, ·
ScribeTeleCare:
It is a telehealth solution designed and created by and for healthcare professionals. The flexible architecture allows for a virtual replication of a provider's physical office workflow. This tool can be used with or without the documentation component.

At Scribe, We Enable The Capture, Creation, Communication, Monetization, And Analysis Of Healthcare Information.”
Moreover, providers can support the care of their patients and facilitate reimbursement with one tool. ·
ScribeMobile:
It is an app for both Android and iOS devices that gives providers greater freedom to focus on their patients instead of being tied to their computers and keyboards. The application gives providers the ability to capture patient encounters quickly and efficiently, and the ability to review, approve, and access patient documents and schedules at any time, and any place. ·
LiveScribe:
It gives providers the option of having a remote scribe to listen and record the patient encounter in real-time, resulting in more focus on the patient, faster, and accurate documentation as the EMR is completed by the scribe during the encounter. Moreover, with the addition of LiveScribe to ScribeMobile, providers can further extend the capabilities of their devices by connecting to a remote (virtual) scribe in real-time to complete encounters. Scribe's each practice values the work its sales engineers do to uniquely tailor the solutions by listening and understanding the workflows and goals of the providers. “Our ability to utilize

SILEXPRO
Building the Next-Gen Working Spaces
A
ccording to the conventional wisdom, 'necessity is the mother of all inventions'. From the Roman plague to the discovery of the new world in the Americas, to combating world wars – necessity has led to breath-taking modern innovations. The COVID-19 pandemic is another travesty that has forced all stakeholders to imagine a new world. A new world where technology can drive costs down unshackles employees with more autonomy and brings communication to the forefront of growth. Hence, technology isn't a north star on a dark night today. On the contrary, technology is the equivalent of 'open sesame' for enterprise communication, and growth. If you are looking out for the next-gen enterprise communication mantra in business, SilexPro is a company worth looking out for. A Futuristic Horizon Every technology or innovation is carved into a vision before it finally surfaces, and takes the real world by storm. SilexPro, launched in 2015 envisioned a unique meeting world experience by engaging all senses. The company today offers automated and full-fledged video conferencing collaboration solutions. The vision ahead of its time understood the limitations of our virtual experiences and imagined something far more elegant. A few years back, the company had introduced solutions like Silex PTE Center of Table solutions. This unique all-in-one group
42
collaboration system has been used by prestigious organizations and government entities alike for professional conferencing and is likely to become an item of choice after COVID-19 since it provides natural social distancing. The company foresaw the downfall of group collaborations during a crisis like the COVID-19, and prepared solutions that are easy to use, intuitive, and brought enormous productivity on-board for enterprises. According to Ronald Hajj, the passionate team at SilexPro is the major driver of its success. Their ability to bring positive disruption to their clients and empowerment of clients to drive their technological prowess will continue to motivate the team Innovative Offerings Companies like SilexPro have been very instrumental in overcoming the challenges presented by the COVID-

19. SilexPro has been revolutionizing communication technology, mainly conferencing and collaboration solutions for several years. However, during the covid-19 crisis, people have realized the importance of seemingly small human factors such as maintaining eye contact during conferences. The virtual nature of work has forced people to take communication far more seriously than ever before. Moreover, it has also driven demand for better audio-visual experience for virtual conferences. During the crisis, SilexPro has launched a series of new collaboration solutions that are easy to use, plug and play and of high quality. These solutions are suitable for any person working remotely or from the office, having a technical background or not. The COVID-19 crisis is likely to be a boon for early-birds like SilexPro, which has foreseen the challenges of virtual communication. SilexPro has launched a variety of solutions to meet the on-going challenges. This includes High quality/Low Cost Bluetooth headsets, wireless speakers, Portable USB touch screens, All-in-One USB cameras, Flexible USB DocumentCam/WebCam, All-in-One smart projectors and more. Moreover, the technology also engages viewers keeping in mind factors like ease of use and easy integration to further enterprise communication needs. Furthermore, SilexPro devices have proven very effective in improving
Ronald Hajj CEO productivity at numerous organizations. One such example is the single-click wireless presentation systems introduced to share content in a click from up to 4 presenters. This has resulted in tremendous traction for SilexPro through a positive response from its customers. On their continuous efforts to upgrade the services and solutions, the CEO of SilexPro, Ronald Hajj comments, “Our customers reach out to us for our exemplary innovation and cutting-edge customization advantages. As long as we stay ahead of the curve in solving traditional problems in regular meetings, we will continue to rain in the storm of innovation in the digital meeting world.” A New Model for E-Learning The field of e-learning has received a major uplift during the COVID-19 crisis. On one hand, many teachers unfamiliar with technology, unfamiliar with etiquettes of virtual communication are surfing the wave of e-learning. Moreover, there are many expensive technology solutions that
promise a seamless experience. However, the seamlessness of the experience is often limited by connecting programs. Hence, SilexPro's High Quality/Low Cost series of intuitive and plug and play devices (such as multiuse Document/Webcam and portable USB touch screens) is ideal for those looking for easy to use solutions offering a high quality for professional use such as in e-learning. As schools are under constant public scrutiny during the pandemic, the elearning model will likely become an important reality for many. Hence, designing a foundation for tomorrow's learning model has become essential. Many also report positive stories for children as colleges are forced to cutdown fees for next year. The constant pressure to move downwards in costs, and growing demand for innovation in technology, will likely spur growth for SilexPro in the near future. A Mantra for Success Building a smart virtual room for
innovative communication has become essential for office workers, as well as for freelancers. Moreover, in corporate settings, virtual conferences have become significant as these offer costsaving advantage, and help increase productivity for many employees. SilexPro offers a bundle of suits for remote employees, freelancers, and employees working from the office as well. These include cost effective teleconferencing accessories like quality Bluetooth headsets, portable touch screens, HD Cameras with wireless mics, flexible multiuse document/web cameras and all-in-one smart projectors. This helps provide a seamless experience to all participants from any location. The Challenging Road Ahead Economists worldwide anticipate major challenges for businesses on the road ahead. The COVID-19 crisis will likely exacerbate the economic crisis for many during the pandemic. Moreover, the social distancing guidelines will make it even more difficult to bring productivity back to pre-COVID levels. The management of SilexPro understands that it is important for businesses to invest in modern innovative solutions to find a new way to achieve growth objectives. SilexPro management has empowered its workforce with simplistic and innovative solutions to meet the challenges ahead. The company focuses on taking elearning to the next level with its rich offerings in the coming years. According to Ronald Hajj, the company will up its offering in the coming months, along with new solutions to tackle the foreseen challenges and to set the trends for the post-COVID19 “return to normal life” period.

UNIBIO GROUP
A Sustainable Solution to the World's Food Problems
T
he need for animal protein in today's world is increasing rapidly. Being one of the pioneer ventures in the biotechnology sector with core competencies within fermentation technologies, Unibio Group is addressing this need with its technology and end product—–the protein. Unibio International was incorporated in 2014 and acquired the Danish company Unibio A/S. Unibio is headquartered close to Copenhagen in Roskilde, Denmark, and has all pilot and demonstration-scale activities in Kalundborg, the biggest industrial area outside of greater Copenhagen. Unibio aims to become the world market leader within protein production technology based on methanotrophic bacteria, partly by production in Joint Ventures, and partly by licensing the production technology to international investors. Uniprotein®: A High-value Microbial Protein Unibio has developed a sustainable, organic, and environmentally-friendly high-value protein —Uniprotein® product—for animal feed. The Uniprotein® product is a microbial protein meal capable of replacing fishmeal and soybean meal as a protein ingredient in feed for various animals including fish, shrimps, and pigs. It is a microbial protein meal (approx. 70% protein) which is approved as feed material by EU Commission Regulation 2017/1017 of 15 June 2017 on the catalogue of feed materials. Moreover, the Uniprotein® product is a non-
46
polluting product and is produced by a non-genetically modified microbial culture with methane as the sole carbon source, and the product is free of toxins and dioxin due to the controlled production process. U-Loop® Technology: A Cutting-edge Fermentation Technology Alongside, Unibio has developed ULoop® Technology. In principle, the ULoop® fermenter can be used for all fermentation processes where gases are mixed with water. The protein is produced by continuous fermentation in the U-Loop® fermenter with static mixers and a pump to drive to liquid flow. The production process is aerobic with methane gas as the carbon and energy source for bacterial culture. Oxygen is used for oxidation in the fermentation process, and ammonia is used as a nitrogen source. The fermentation process uses the Methanatrophic Bacterium

Methylococcus capsulatus. Moreover, in addition to the bacterial culture and substrates, water, phosphate, as well as several minerals are used in the fermentation process. This use of methane gas to produce biomass is beneficial to the environment as the only by-product of the production is water. CO2 is emitted in connection with the production, however, these emissions are only half of the CO2 emissions from gas flaring, the avoided effect of producing a non-land or oceanbased protein product should not be neglected, as it will significantly lessen stress on important ecosystems. Supporting the UN's Sustainable Goals The most admired feature of Unibio is that with its technology, it can improve the climate and help lessen the effect of food production on a global scale. Unibio supports the UN's sustainability goals (SDGs) and Uniprotein® product supports four of these goals 2, 12, 14, and 15. Ÿ SDG 2: The Uniprotein® product can be produced in large and almost unlimited quantities, thus offering an alternative to existing protein sources without putting further stress on ecosystems. Moreover, Unibio's U-Loop® technology makes it possible to produce protein for animal feed and in the future for human consumption as well. Ÿ SDG 12: Unibio's technology reduces the use of water as the production of 1kg of Uniprotein® product requires 10 L of water
