ESSENTIAL & USEFUL INFORMATION The airport of your arrival to the Maldives is Ibrahim Nasir International Airport. You will need to fill in a landing card, which should be distributed by the crew of your flight. Alternatively, you can find the cards immediately before immigration booths. To obtain immigration clearance, it is a requirement to indicate [in the landing card] an address or provide proof that you have a booking at a hotel/resort. No prior visa arrangements are required but each visitor must have a passport valid for more than six months.

TO & FROM AIRPORT The capital city (Male’) is located on a separate island from the airport island. Your will need to take a small (local ferry ) called “Dhoni” across to the capital, which takes around 15 minutes, to arrive from the airport to Male’. These ferries arrive and depart every 15 Minutes. These local ferries charge Rufiyaa for a one way crossing and accept both USD ($1 per person) and local currency just in case you haven’t change currency at the airport. Taxis are normally available at the jetty of your arrival and will charge a flat fee of 20rf per trip (though from 12.00 midnight to 06. 00 Am. it is raised to 25 Rufiyaa per trip, plus an additional 5 Rufiyaa if you place bags in the boot)

Kurumba Maldives Kurumba Maldives Kurumba Maldives is the first resort opened in the Maldives in 1972. After its complete reconstruction in 2003 it has emerged as a grand resort of distinctive style. The resort’s name ‘Kurumba’ is derived from the coconut trees that grow here in glorious abundance. Shaded paths lead from one side of this 30-acre circular island to the other. This is one of the few circular islands in Maldives. The resort has quiteful spaces for relaxation to create the perfect magical spell while you relax and enjoy in the resort. The island is full of lush green vegetation of both the coconut and palm trees, while coconut trees are in abundance.
