Two-day workshop facilitated by the Education & Training Offi ce. Service members pursuing college education receive guidance to prepare for the college application process. Topics include identifying educational goals, education funding, and researching and comparing educational institutions. Upon completion, members will be ready to apply to the university or college of their choice. Thursday, April 14 11 a.m.–1 p.m. A&FRC, Bldg. 656
In collaboration with the Personal Financial Readiness Program, this workshop provides information about how to prepare for homeownership, tips to increase your fi nancial knowledge about buying a home, types of mortgage loans, prequalifi cation vs preapproval, loan process and what VA Home Loans offers for service members. Participants are free to bring their lunches!
The Stars are Lined Up for Military Spouses for Federal Careers
Tuesday, April 19 9–11 a.m. A&FRC, Bldg. 656
This workshop covers four different ways to land four different kinds of positions with the federal government: USAJOBS competitive hiring, Excepted Service jobs, Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) jobs, and Military Spouse Preference (MSP) jobs. Each of these paths requires different job search techniques and tips. Military spouses will be encouraged and equipped to take control of their career.

Learn the basics of Air Force life at this AFAS-sponsored event. This event was designed as an orientation for military spouses new to the Air Force or new to Misawa AB. Participants will learn vital resources and information that will assist with Air Force life. Spouses will also have the opportunity to meet fellow spouses.
