REINTEGRATION WORKSHOP

Fridays | June 3, 10 & 24 9–11 a.m.

This is a required workshop for deployed personnel that are within seven days of returning to home station, and prior to beginning R&R. Spouses are highly recommended to attend. Uniform is not required.

EMPLOYMENT 2DAY TRACK

Thursday, June 16–Friday, June 17 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Presented by Department of Labor for individuals planning on seeking employment immediately after separating from the military. Assists members with resume writing, interview skills, networking and labor market information and federal employment.

PREDEPLOYMENT WORKSHOP

Wednesdays | June 1 & 15 10–11 a.m.

Required 30–60 days prior to a member’s departure for a deployment of 30+ days or extended TDY of 179+ days. Spouse attendance is highly recommended. All attendees must register for this workshop. Uniform is not required.

Thursday, June 9–Friday, June 10 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

Two-day workshop facilitated by the Misawa Education & Training Offi ce. Service members or family members pursuing a college education receive guidance to prepare for the college application process. Topics include identifying educational goals, education funding and researching and comparing educational institutions. Upon completion, members will be ready to apply to the university or college of their choice.

Tuesday, June 7–Wednesday, June 8 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

Members pursuing self-employment will learn about the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, the benefi ts and realities of entrepreneurship and the steps toward business ownership. Upon completion of this class, members will have developed the initial components of their business plan. This workshop is facilitated by the Small Business Association (SBA).

BUNDLES FOR BABIES

Thursday, June 9 9–11:30 a.m.

Bundles for Babies is designed to teach soonto-be parents basic parenting skills as well as essential fi nancial skills to help budget for their new baby, from birth to college. This class is a great opportunity to connect with other expectant parents on base. Bundles for Babies is open to all ranks USAF or Navy. Each family will receive a gift or a gift card, and both parents are welcome to attend.

JAPANESE COOKING CLASS

Friday, June 24 5:30–7 p.m.

The class is open to deployed, post-deployed and remote tour families. Childcare is available on-site.

CREDIT MANAGEMENT CLASS

Friday, June 24 11 a.m.–Noon

Learn about credit management with education specifi c covers wise/unwise uses of credit, terminology associated with credit, establishing a credit history, reducing the cost of credit, and credit management strategies and resources.

INITIALEMERGENCY INITIAL EMERGENCY EVACUATIONPROGRAM/ EVACUATION PROGRAM/ NEOWARDENTRAINING NEO WARDEN TRAINING

Tuesday, June 28 8:30–11 a.m.

This training is designed to provide Wardens with tools and resources to assist unit members with a possible evacuation. Attendees must be appointed by their unit commander.
