Blind For an Hour - Workshop
May 2019
The blind and visually impaired people are one of those vunerable groups which are often found socially neglected. The idea behind the Blind for an Hour Workshops is to bring people, for about an hour, in the shoes of those with visual disabilities, to have a limited experience of their daily challenges. The workshop includes a speech by a blind person, a walk blinfolded (with an escort) and dinner in the dark. This workshop has been organised and successfully carried out for the last 5 years, in Larnaca, by the members of Rotaract Club of Larnaca Kition.

Depression Awareness - Campaign
April 2018
I had the honour to co-organise an online campaign for Depression, one of the worst mental health issues people are currently facing. According to the European Office for WHO, up to 50% of chronic sick leaves are due to anxiety and almost half of major depression case remain untreated, which leads to a financial loss of about â‚Ź170 billion per year, in the EU member states. The campaign concluded with a seminar by a well known Integrative Psychotherapist.

Breakfast at St. Spyridon Special School
Dec. 2017
On the occasion of the International Volunteering Day, I was assigned to organise a CSR initiative, in which the staff of Orthodoxou Group could effectively contribute to the community. I choose a simple and creative task; the making of breakfast for the children of the St. Spyridon Special School. Through this activity, staff members from all the departments of the Group were able to join and come to contact with the children, the school staff as well as their dedicated facilities and areas.

Refugees FunDay - Events
2016 - 17
As the number of refugees increased with the continuous conflicts in Syria and the middle east, children were no exception. Being one of the most vulernable group of people going through war zones, the idea of organising one day dedicated to the refugee children in Cyprus was born. And so, Rotaract Larnaca Kition, Global Shapers Nicosia, with the help of many supporters, we spent the day playing games, dancing, painting, doing yoga and meditation and watching cartoons. We also distrubited hygience products, baby food and clothes frequently. Many Refugee FunDays followed throught the year.

Equal Opportunities Park - Projects
2015 - 16
The Rotary Club of Larnaca Kition decided to build the first park for children with disabilities, as a celebration for it's 25 years of community service. As partners of Rotary, we organised several fundarising and awareness projects towards that cause. Some of the projects I had the chance to lead where a Fundraising Theater performance and a Live Jazz event. The organisers and (many) supporters efforts payed off, the Park was finished in less than a year and had it's official opening at November 6th, 2016.

Gaia Talks - Speeches
Apr. 2013
At the dawn of the financial crisis in 2013, the levels of anxiety and stress could be felt in the air. At that point, I was volunteering at the Gaia Wellness Center, where I felt the need to show people a different way of approaching the crisis and finances in general. Gaia Talks hosted speakers who expanded on a variety of subjects such as Relationships, Media Effects, Living Counciously, Perception and Psychology of Crisis
