As number one in providing to the Off-World colonies manual assistance in every human activity, from the standard pleasure models to the most advanced military personnel, we are constantly developing new features. Elements To enable a wider display and use, our trademark has two versions, one primary and another secondary. Both of them are normally composed of two elements: our emblem and our logotype (our corporation’s name).
Firstly, our emblem stands for what we value most which is knowledge and vision and it is therefore composed of an owl and an eye. It has also two versions, the primary and secondary emblems have respectively a more three dimensional look and a solely linear composition.
Secondly, our logotype can only presents itself alone in Baskerville regular (our primary typeface), idem when it is combined with our primary emblem. It cannot appear alone written in Univers Lt Std 45 light (our secondary typeface), it has to be combined with our secondary emblem.
Only our primary trademark can also be seen with our motto, which can only appear written in Univers Lt Std 45 light.

Trademark hierarchy The primary trademark has always to be the first option. Although we are aware there might be situations which it might be better to use the secondary one for simplicity, legibility or print color possibilities (see page 12). The secondary emblem is used as first option when used as a watermark, a basic symbol to create patterns, embroideries and for laser cut. The secondary trademark is used as first option in all holographic projections embroideries and laser cut. Of course there is some margin to break the hierarchy of use. In any case you should consult the design department to be sure of their consent (contact: design@tyrell.com).

Display All the possible versions of our trademark have a minimum width that allows a secure legibility. In this page the scale used for the images is 10:10mm.

And to protect the clarity and visual integrity of our trademark, this one has a defined “safe area” that has to be strictly respected.
The “x” value is the same as the diameter of the eye’s iris of the corresponding emblem in terms of proportions.

Colors Regarding the color palette, the gradient black to white contains the basic colours for the primary and secondary trademark used on web and print. Only the secondary trademark can also be printed in silver or gold. In terms of contrasts (not including the reflexivity of a metallic print) the color used for the trademark has always to enable an optimum display. If needed, the logotype can suffer a change of color to improve its contrast. Once more, be shure to contact the design department before any correction.

Typefaces There are only two official typefaces used by the corporation: Baskerville and Univers Lt Std. As a transitional serif typeface, Baskerville brings just enough seriousness and elegance. In counter part, the sans-serif Univers brings a more modern sensation being distinctive without being obtrusive. Although we have mentioned how those two worked when combined with the other elements of the trademark (see page 5), in written text there are still some things to be said. The text is to be set in Univers Lt Std, as a typeface with a good range of widths and weights it can stand alone easily. Use preferentially 45 light when set on white. Even so, in some particular occasions Baskerville can be nominated as the principal typeface for the main text or combined with Univers as the typeface for titles, subtitles and notes, as set in this page.

Our stationery reflects the spirit of the corporation adding a perspective of meticulous planning with the geometrical feeling given by the construction lines of the emblem. Those lines are also a unifying element. The stationery is composed of four kinds of letters (a letter�paper, a simple letter, an invoice and an invitation) and respective envelopes (with or without address or window), a CD and a DVD, a business card, a badge, a chess game, an external hard drive and a lighter.

The most recent branding made for TYRELL is composed of a catalogue and a website both based on a photo shoot of the latest model created by the corporation, the Nexus–7. These elements were used to support a restricted commercial campaign. This campaign culminated in a formal pre-launch presentation to our closest clients by la crème de la crème, three of our newest Nexus–7. Not only our clients were able to finally know what where the new improvements made, they also saw with their own eyes the quality of the manufacture and were able to pre-order.
