CORBIE & CHEIP:

STOLLEN THE CHRISTMAS SHOW ne of the best things about the festive season has to be the traditions that we build up amongst families, friends and our own wee communities. They can be as simple as always visiting the panto on opening night, or using a decades old fairy on the top of your tree. For me, it’s the foodie rituals that I look forward to most; soaking plums for the Christmas vodka, decorating gingerbread houses with my nieces and always making a showstopper of a pavlova for Christmas Day. Corbie and Cheip, the awardwining German-Scottish deli on Auchterarder’s High Street, know a thing or two about traditions. Having recently celebrated their second birthday, this is the third year that Anne Schaeflein and her team have brought their own unique brand of comforting nostalgia and meticulous attention to detail to Christmas in Perthshire. At its heart the deli has an ethos rooted in community, traditions and responsibly produced food & drink from Scotland and other parts of the world. Anne is resolute about their philosophy which is to provide fresh, seasonal and sustainable food and drink from talented artisans. “It is rather lovely to be growing into this niche – we did not expect to find such a demand nor positive resonance about our German heritage and slow food ethos when we first started out. Going into our third Christmas, we really are pulling out all the stops and advertorial

I’m encouraged by people asking when the ‘Guess the Weight of the Christmas Cake’ competition will be starting!” Yuletide preparation begins early for Anne, who during the autumn will head to Bankton House to pick apples for her now famed hot spiced apple juice. This wonderfully warm non-alcoholic drink is a popular choice with the locals but with limited supplies of the ancient apple varieties she uses, it’s one of those traditions you have to arrive early to enjoy! “The apple orchard at Bankton boasts varieties dating back to the 12th century and we like to use these to create our juice. It means there is a slight difference in the taste each year which our regular customers really enjoy – we start serving it around the beginning of December but have yet to get to Christmas Eve with any left! We do a wonderful mulled wine as well – as you’d expect – and a marvellous masala chai tea using a method I was given twenty years ago by a Sri Lankan friend. It was his mother’s recipe and is considered a celebration tea in the village that he’s from. We stew it each morning in huge vats and then heat it to order throughout the day. I just love the blend of spices and the aroma it gives off – the perfect way to warm you up on a cold Perthshire winter’s night!” Of course, a hot Christmassy drink is nothing without a sweet treat and at Corbie and Cheip the order of the day is stollen, made by a fellow Bavarian friend. Thick with chopped candied fruit, dried fruit, nuts and spices, stollen is as traditional in Germany as mince pies are in Scotland, and these

are moist, fruity and delicately spiced - undoubtedly among the most delicious we’ve ever tasted! There are also edible tree decorations for sale in the shape of reindeer and gingerbread men and these are also used to decorate the deli’s own rather unusual tree! Hanging upside down - an ancient custom dating back to the Middle Ages – it means Anne can enjoy festive décor while ensuring enough space remains to accommodate their regular fourlegged friends! “Making sure we look after our regular customers is really important to me. We invite a guest to light the Advent candles on our wreath every Sunday; we have Christmas music playing and festive storytelling each Saturday. And of course, there’s the Christmas cake competition which raises funds for the Auchterarder Music Department.” As well as introducing her regulars to all of these wonderful German traditions, Anne also opens the door to festive parties, creating a tailor-made experience for people looking for an alternative to the traditional office party nights. And as you’d expect from an awardwining deli, her hampers are full of homemade treats and delicious artisan produce. “You could say we do Christmas the old-fashioned way. The focus is on time honoured traditions, family and loved ones, slowing down, a time of reflection and ultimately hope for the New Year.”

Corbie and Cheip is housed in the former Gleneagles bakery on the corner of Bakers Wynd and High Street. You can shop, dine in or take home. By day the delicatessen is open for breakfast, lunch, light bites, hot food and cakes. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee, teas or wine with a pick n' mix styled menu. After 5pm, the lights dim and the cake display gives way to the wine bar - pop in for a glass, a nibble (schnittchen) or full dinner. Don't forget to ask "what's cooking?" to find out Anne's nightly specials. What's On in Pitlochry? trip to Highland Perthshire and the beautiful surroundings of Pitlochry sits firmly at the top of every American tourist’s hit list – and rightly so. As well as boasting some of most stunning views in all of Scotland, this wee town is a vibrant hub of culture, outdoor activities and an outstanding culinary scene. Sitting right alongside this you’ll find a haven of tranquillity with some of the country’s leading spas nestled quietly into the hills. You’d be forgiven for thinking this all comes to a slow and sleepy halt when the Enchanted Forest lights dim for yet another year. However, with the famous theatre in the hills now offering both Autumn and Christmas shows and their wonderful Winter Words programme now approaching its eleventh year, there is still plenty to encourage you up the A9 for a cultural night out – and that’s before we get going with the many live music nights dotted throughout the bars in the main street. The Pitlochry Scottish New Year will welcome in 2018 in style, with revellers young and old taking to the streets of the town for a hoolie unlike any

PITLOCHRY other! Entrance is free and with an opener from Vale of Atholl Pipe band, a ceilidh in the street – get your Gay Gordons ready for a spin - and clown performances for the kids, you’ll find the perfect mix of entertainment to dust off the cobwebs. 1st January, 1pm to 4pm.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre's Winter Musical 2017 Singin' In The Rain, 1st to 23rd December

One of the highlights of Perthshire’s winter offering, Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s musicals are amongst the best in Scottish theatre. This year’s offering, Singin’ In The Rain, will no doubt prove to be yet another hit performance – our advice is to book early! Believed by many to be the best movie musical ever made, Singin’ In The Rain is still celebrated for its stunning song and dance routines and the magical on-screen relationship between its stars, Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds. Now adapted for the stage, this exuberant, funny, joyous and warm-hearted musical features all the songs from the classic 1952 MGM film, including Make ‘Em Laugh, Good Mornin’, You Were Meant For Me, You Are My Lucky Star, and of course, the immortal Singin’ In The Rain.

WORKDAYS WEEKENDS Dougie Flowers, music maestro, is the musical director at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, for their festive production, Singin' in the Rain. He still manages to squeeze in time to teach piano in school, rehearse with local and national choirs, do a wee turn in his own ceilidh band and bag a few Munros at the weekends! We caught up with him between rehearsals to find out more.

What signals the start of your weekend / days off? In November and December I don't normally have any days off because there's so much to do, but when I don't have a show on, Friday nights start with a circuit class at Rodney to take the guilt out of the rest of the evening – a tasty dinner and a bottle of something delicious. I also have a ceilidh band so weekends can be busy!

What does a typical day at work look like for you? I teach piano two days a week. I see pupils for one-to-one lessons and take an ensemble rehearsal at lunchtime. Otherwise, I'm normally at home arranging music or practising, then out at a rehearsal in the evening. I work with Scottish Police and Community Choir, National Youth Choir of Scotland, Sing Forth (a choir based in Falkirk) and I teach at Stagecoach Performing Arts School on Saturday mornings.

Tell us about the weekend you'd love to live again? One of the downsides of being self-employed is never really getting away from work. I like simple weekends that let me get away from everything. Last year we went to Glen Coe and walked the Aonach Eagach ridge for the first time.

For Singin' in the Rain, I'll be up to Pitlochry for rehearsals from 10am. We do 2 or 3 sessions a day, so I could be in the theatre until 9pm! The first few days of the process are very musically intensive as we start by learning all of the songs before going on to blocking scenes and then putting it all together. Towards the end of the rehearsal process, I run three hour band calls with the other musicians who form our amazing band. Then we have the sitzprobe, which is when the cast and band rehearse together for the first time. This is usually the best rehearsal of the whole process – hearing everything come together for the first time is a brilliant experience. Week four is tech week. This starts with three long days when we go through the whole show on stage sorting out all the lighting, sound and technical things. Then the band re-joins us and we have two dress rehearsals on the Thursday and one in the afternoon of the Friday. Then at long last, its opening night...curtain up!

Another favourite was staying at Glenfinnan House Hotel where we were able to combine two of our favourite things when we climbed Ben Nevis for the first time, followed by an amazing dinner at the hotel. When we got our dog just over a year ago, it seemed appropriate to call him Nevis. What's the best part about your job? Doing something I enjoy for a living. When I worked in the office, it dawned on me that I was in danger of doing something I didn't enjoy or care about for the next 40 years. I don't feel like that now. What's in the perfect day off breakfast? French toast with bacon and maple syrup is a favourite. Or, if we're trying to be good, we'll pop out to Reids for a scoffee (scone and coffee). MAKING CHRISTMAS MAGIC hile most of us have only just started to write our lists, ponder over turkey-to-oven ratio and wonder why, for yet another year, we didn’t throw out the old frayed tree ornaments, the team at Glendoick has been busy preparing for Christmas since round about January! Undoubtedly one of Perthshire’s most magical of festive experiences, the transformation of award-winning Garden Centre into Christmas Wonderland takes months of planning, choosing, booking and buying to ensure a sizable sprinkling of seasonal magic reaches into every last corner! From animated polar bears to twinkling lights, baubles in every size, shape and colour, you will find everything you need to recreate this wonderful festive atmosphere in your own home. We caught up with Jane Cox, co-owner of Glendoick and ringleader of the festive fun, to find out just how long it takes to create the breath-taking display. “We usually start planning as soon as the last of the displays are packed away. We have a good idea of what people like and want because we’ve been doing the Christmas shop in one way or another for over ten years – although it is now as big as it’s ever been! Valerie, Lynn and I, the buying team, go to Holland every January to start looking at ideas for decorations and little festive knick-knacks. It’s an amazing experience – if you think our shop is big you should see what’s on offer in Amsterdam! There are always new ideas and trends to discover - you really do need to stay focused so you don’t end up buying everything in sight. advertorial

Then in March, we do the Spring Fair in Birmingham to look for gifts and homewares with a Christmas theme. By April, we should have the buying element of Christmas more or less complete. We extended the gift section of the Garden Centre when we completed the extension five years ago so our Christmas gift selection automatically became bigger – there really is something for everyone now. Gifts for him, gifts for her, some beautiful ideas for children and of course, the family pet! All here waiting to be picked up, wrapped up and popped under the tree.” All of this hard work comes to fruition in October, when boxes upon boxes of stock arrive. The team clear the summer gardening section, which spreads across the full width of the centre, and prepare for Christmas to take shape. It takes a full two months from start to finish – and with none of the now famous Glendoick Gnomes on hand until November, it really is all down to the team! - but the end result is a magical wonderland, dazzling with decorative themes to inspire

your own home and garden, wonderful displays of animated creatures and of course, a cabin for Santa’s weekly December visits.

Glendoick’s On Trend Christmas Themes For 2017 Have a Mint Christmas Fabulous colours of mint, silver, white and teal giving a Scandinavian feel. Auld Lang Syne One of our favourites - tartan, red, green & gold. 24 Carat Christmas Light up your home this festive season with sparkle from this glittering range. Candy Cane Lots of fun in a white and red stripe theme. Autumn Falls Deep colours of copper and burnt orange, with forest green and natural wood. Ideal to start an early display and then just sparkle-it-up for Christmas!

“Santa is hugely popular as you’d imagine! We have a really diverse range of customers now at Glendoick with regular family events throughout the year attracting more and more people with small children. And of course, the launch of the playpark in summer 17 has only added to that. We don’t charge for a visit to Santa – we think everyone should enjoy that special festive treat - but we do ask for a voluntary donation to our chosen charity which this year is Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH). Kids leave with a little gift, we raise a bit of money for a great cause and the grown-ups can enjoy lunch in the café or a wander through the gift section.” And what a gift section it is! The team at Glendoick are passionate about using and sourcing quality, local suppliers and this can be seen throughout the centre. Their fabulous hampers are always a big hit with foodies and are stuffed full of Scottish favourites such as Summer Harvest Oils, Walkers Shortbread and Eden Mill Gin. Other gifts include beautiful, unique items from cottage industry artisans such as The Scottish Fine Soap Company, Botanic Isles Jewellery and McKelvie Candles. Even the Christmas Trees are grown just down the road on the slopes of Craig Owl. “The day the trees arrive is so much fun! People can order now and collect during the first week in December. The smell as these freshly cut trees are driven into the car park is wonderful and I do think this is one of the reasons people come back year after year - Scottish grown Nordmann Fir trees come with unrivalled value and quality and that fresh, evergreen scent lasts from the day it goes up to the day it comes down.” So what, we wonder, does a person who has been planning Christmas since January, do come December? “I shall pour myself one of our many Scottish gins, pick up some of the homemade mince pies from the café and sit down in an extremely comfortable chair with a good book and the smell of Scottish pine wafting round my sitting room!”

A Festive First... There are so many milestones in a baby’s first year – first tooth, first word, first step – but surely one of the most exciting is that special first Christmas. No matter if baby is just a few weeks old or fast approaching their first birthday, the joy of having a new little person to make festive memories with is very special indeed. What you may not expect though, is the phone to start ringing sometime in mid-November as every member of your immediate family and friends group calls to ask what they can buy baby for Christmas. ‘What do they need?’ – usually nothing… “What would you like?” - a full night’s sleep?... And so on! What’s important to remember here is that they are only a baby! That may sound obvious but the truth is that they really won’t be impressed with piles of presents, or yet another cuddly toy. Instead, why don't you start a new family tradition that can be built on as the years go by, or passed on to future generations?

CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS

We went out to our #SmallCityFamilies group and asked readers to send us their ideas for gifts that could become as cherished as those first year’s memories. Simple, thoughtful, and in some cases free, these are our favourites from the list. Wooden Toys We’re big fans of Wooden Toys; they look lovely, age well and stand the test of time - most are indestructible! Far more likely to be passed on than their plastic counterparts, we also love their green credentials. Fun wooden skittles from JoJo Maman Bébé (pg 15) are just the thing - perfect for storytelling, bowling and tiny hands! Charms Why not start a special charm collection to represent each passing year? These can then be used to create a beautiful bracelet or necklace once they reach teenage years. If you pop into Number Five (pg 23) they’ll design and make you your very own! Write them a letter Get your baby a little wooden box with their name on it. Each year you write them a letter, and put it in the box for safe keeping until they’re

older. Use it to detail a snapshot in time - tell them their favourite food, how they love to dance, or tell a funny story about their first encounter with Santa! You can also include some silly facts like the price of milk. Kilt Pin Giving them a personalised Kilt Pin at an early age is a lovely way to embrace their Scottish heritage and jewellers like Byers & Co on George Street are able to create a bespoke one using your loved ones birth stones and sentimental markings. Mini Library Why not start a library of books for your little one to read when they're older? This is a brilliant idea for grandparents, aunts and uncles and you can add to it every year on birthdays and Christmases. Check out Glendoick's (pg 10) wonderful range of children's books. Follow our family column on smallcitybigpersonality.co.uk and make sure to join the Small City Families group over on Facebook. You’ll find more fantastic guides and ideas, advice on where to go in Perthshire with your children and honest reviews on the area’s most popular classes and activities.

GET THE PARTY LOOK Incredible cuts, gorgeous colour and uncompromising standards! At Copperfields, they take their status as hair care experts seriously. We caught up with Hayleigh Davidson, principal stylist and artistic team leader, to find out how she created these two great party looks.

Jolene - This Page Sometimes its nice to know you don't have to worry about your hair on a night out and updo’s are great for this. We created more texture in this look by using twists and pulling them out before pinning into place. This helps to create soft texture that is still very secure! Our key product for creating this 'done but undone' effect is the amazing Shu Uemura’s Volume Maker. This is the ultimate hair powder that adds volume and body to any hairstyle, and it’s also great to put in braids to fatten them out a bit!

Megan - Opposite We started by adding nourishment to the hair to create smoothness and shine, to achieve this we used Kerastase Crème magistral which has up to 230 degrees heat protection. We combined this with Kerastase Discipline mousse to keep any frizz at bay and also to add hold to hair for longevity of style. Both these products were perfect for the next step as we used the GHD large barrel tongs to encourage romantic waves. Megan’s colour is also key for winter looks this year; the deep spice root and ends married with golden pumpkin mid lengths seeks a more tailored and unique look.

For the ultimate in party hair, it has to be ghd from Copperfields Hair & Beauty! The innovative ghd platinum® styler from the nocturne collection gives 50% less breakage and 20% more shine. It also comes with two OPI nail polishes to ensure your party looks are finished off perfectly! £175

Riverside Light Nights

T

his February, Perth's jampacked Winter Festival will come to a stunning finale with a fantastic display of lights turning the dark, winter sky into a colourful canvas as it reflects beautifully off the River Tay below. The Riverside Light Nights in the city centre are back for a second year, with specially themed nights for Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day, and a host of other exciting surprises in store. If you missed the 2017 extravaganza, we urge you to make a date in your diary now. Small City was there - several times! - to capture the magic of this wonderful event. Read on to find out about Nicki's visit to the Burns Night Event and find out what might await you when you head to NorieMiller walk this winter.

"Ever since its first year, as a

walk through a magical wood at The Hermitage, I have loved The Enchanted Forest. Now as one of Scotland’s most successful events, the annual light show at Pitlochry heralds the start of Perthshire’s winter in a glow of pinks, mauves, blues and greens flickering across the still waters of Loch Faskally. That’s why, when Small City was told of a similar event, being held to bring Perth’s Winter Festival to a

close, I yet again unpacked my red & white light show hat, rounded up my sister, nieces and bae and waited excitedly for the show to begin. The day arrived, with no let up in the rain we’d been having all year and sleet turning dark pavements into slick, shiny deathtraps. The kids looked out from my city centre window and miserably asked if it meant we could no longer go. Who were these children? Saft about the ears and worrying on a wee bit of water? Of course we were going – we’d just be doubly wrapped up, boot-footed and maybe with some of those hand warmers in our pockets. We were Scots – if we allowed rain to stop the games then we’d never deem to venture outdoors. We headed out, three adults, three kids, at around 5pm on a Saturday night; the dark night had just fallen into place and a light drizzle held

up the promise of the weatherman. We meandered from the High Street onto Tay Street and were met with a technicolour glow of pinks, oranges, blues and greens made all the more glorious by their mirrored reflections shining out from the River Tay. Strobes reached into the charcoal-grey night sky causing us all to stop, stare up and… well, it is 2017 after all, whip out our smartphones! Across the bridge we ventured - right over and down left into Riverside, the wee path off into Norie Miller was closed during the event – peering through the fence as we went into the turquoise blue of a mystical garden. The sense that there could be faerie folk watching from every corner was soon proved right, as a Scottish Kelpie appeared at the gate, eyes glowing like coals and strange tales told in native Gaelic tongue greeting us as we wandered in. A wee note… these strange beasts have kept up with

a technicolour glow of pinks, oranges, blues and greens made all the more glorious by their mirrored reflections shining out from the River Tay

the work of us human folks and do love a #KelpieSelfie! The lights on the walk were stunning; the water of the pond stood still and dark against the dancing strobes of pink and blue, strings of bright white peas guided walkers down the wooden steps – wear your sturdy boots, it is slippy when wet - past the waterfall which had been made to look magical with stones glistening under the colourful streams of water and light. Families, couples, infants in prams and groups of teenage friends all circled around the paths, stopping to watch hardy Highland Dancers spinning in the rain and fire jugglers in kilts all adding their glow to the dark night sky. The Burns Night theme brought with it lone pipers, pipe bands and carefully chosen prose scrawled across pathways as a reminder that ‘Nae man can tether time or tide.” Regular dog walkers, accustomed only to street lights, soaked up the sights of their new surroundings, as toddlers stooped over sprightly patterns, leading their way along the riverside path, trying to catch the light as smiling mums and dads looked on. We were drawn under the bridge by the sight of the wonderful Adventure Circus and, after a bit of a warm-up, all three girls were lining up to take turns in spinning from Gemma’s thick navy ribbons. She has the patience of a saint – even after being headbutted by an overeager Keris – and encouraged them all to let go and have a spin! As wonderful it was to watch it was the sight of my 50-something bae concentrating as he attempted to spin an orange plate on a stick that was my under-the-bridge highlight! We attempted to walk on but our way was blocked by Kelpies – not all speak Gaelic – as they attempted to eat our fingers... Who knew I smelled nice and would make a good snack!? We popped into the horsebox photobooth for some snaps and a quick warm up and wandered down to a covered shelter where we enjoyed hot chocolates and marshmallows (girls!), piping hot coffee (me and sis), and fruity mulled wine (bae – now known as circus boy). After a quick blether with some friends we’d met, a dry off and a pic across the river of the beautifully lit-up council buildings, we headed

back the way we came, keen to soak it all up again and to see each wee corner glow differently under the kaleidoscope of colour. We felt it necessary to experience the full affair and so stopped to grab a burger on the way out at Ann’s Kitchen. Many of you will know this fab local catering van from the edges of Guildtown, locally sourced burgers are its speciality! I can confirm it was bloody good and the perfect way to end our Light Night walk by the river. The entire event has been executed beautifully and the fun extras from Adventure Circus and the Partybox Events Photobooth made a real night out of it. Admittedly, I am someone who finds great pleasure in simple, beautiful things, in faerie tales, a sprinkling of magic and childlike wonder, but I would defy even the most vocal of cultural adversaries to find fault with this! It is a FREE event, bringing a muchneeded lift and a big boost of joy to a dreary – and let’s face it, skint! – time of year. Go! Go again and again and soak up a little Light Night magic to see you through until the days begin to stretch and Norie Miller pond is lit with the silvery spikes of sticklebacks and the wings of dragonflies. As a wee aside, as we walked back over the bridge we realised we were but a hop, skip and a jump from a pint of real ale at Greyfriars and a wee gin or two at The Venue. Surrounded by children we headed to Watsons for a bag of chips instead, but next week, after we walk the wonderland theme, we fully intend to finish with something a bit stronger!" There you have it, an incredible experience from start to finish, the Riverside Light nights are perfect for couples, families and friends who want to get out and about during the dark, winter months. Themes around this years show are a closely guarded secret at time of going to print but we're assured there is to be more of the same quirky performances and colourful displays. Make sure you don't miss out on what promises to be another spectacular show bringing down the curtain on Perth's wonderful Winter Festival. The Riverside Night Lights 2018 will run from January 27th to February 14th at Norie-Miller Walk. Free entry for all.

THE CHRISTMAS COOK Andrew Moss, chef proprietor of North Port in Perth City Centre, knows a thing or two about cooking Christmas Dinner, with over 20 years experience in kitchens reaching across Scotland. This year, he launches his festive dining menu on 1st December, serving up his signature style of tasty Scottish flavours, all with a North Port twist. The restaurant will close up on Christmas Eve as he prepares to enjoy the big day itself at home with his family. When do you start planning for Christmas in the restaurant? We usually start planning for Christmas in the restaurant when we start getting enquires for tables. At that point the menu has to be written. So usually about June! What is your inspiration for festive flavours on the menu? As with all our dishes, the inspiration comes from the produce itself. I love this time of year for veggies. There are plenty of root vegetables, different cabbages and things like broccoli to play with. And on top of that game meat like wild duck and partridge will definitely feature somewhere. What are you looking forward to most this year? This year in the restaurant I’m looking forward to prepping the last turkey of the year. We debone the whole bird and then put it back together with a layer of white meat, a layer of brown meat, all rolled round the stuffing. This ensures it is kept moist when cooking it but is obviously a lot more work than just flinging a crown in the oven. Personally, I can’t wait to spend time with my family. It is a rare occurrence that I have more than two days off in a row so it’s great to actually see my wife and child and enjoy some quality time! What's your favourite foodie tradition at Christmas? I wouldn’t say I have any fixed foodie traditions at Christmas – I like to try new things too much. I guess attempting to eat my body weight in cheese could count though! Any tips for Christmas Dinner cooks? My biggest piece of advice to Christmas dinner cooks is not to overlook other meats. Christmas dinner is not about turkey, it is about family and friends. Remember there are other - often far tastier in my opinion - options out there. Duck, venison, pheasant, beef, goose, ham, the list is endless. Give it a go! Do you cook on Christmas Day at home? I never cook at home over Christmas. Karen rarely lets me cook in the house as apparently I make too much mess. I am not complaining though, she is an amazing cook. Check the international prohibited items list. If you are sending parcels beyond Europe they will be security scanned and stopped and destroyed if found to contain any liquids or aerosols. This includes creams, nail varnish sets, perfume or aftershave. So, please don’t send the Lynx effect to your young nephew in the States! pharosparcel.com has a full list of prohibited items for you to check.

Packing is a task that definitely follows the mantra, more is better! More cushion, more boxes, more tape! If it’s fragile then you need more boxes and if it rattles, it needs more padding! All carriers use temporary staff at this time of year and the huge volume means parcels aren’t handled as carefully as we would all like, it’s just a simple fact and one we can’t avoid. Pack up, and make sure that your loved one receiving the gift will be happy!

Give yourself plenty of time! The ‘Last Post’ dates won’t guarantee your gift arrives on time so the advice is to get in with a week to spare. Why not check out Pharos Parcel’s new express next day service with DHL starting at £8.35?
