other. Emotions and sensitivity are at an all time high. Segregation is okay. Companies just need to work on respect. We don’t have any fouls with anyone. We will work with anyone as long as it makes sense.

What advice would you give to someone that is interested in promotions or creating a similar website such as PowerHouseOrlando.com? Tony - Understand the game. Study the game, the “ins” and “outs”, and who’s who. Realize who you are, as in finding some identity and think about what you can bring to the overall night life of Orlando.

What other current or upcoming events do you guys have in store for the city of Orlando?
FlyerPromoNow & TalkofOrlando.com present this week’s Talk of Orlando,
The Foam party in July at Destiny will be huge. We have 3 consistent nights Rain Ultra Lounge on Thursday, Roxy on Fridays and Element on Saturdays. The rest you will have to wait and see, stay logged on to www.PowerhouseOrlando.com
One of “Orlando’s Best Kept Secrets” has revealed they are a force to be contented with in Orlando’s night life. With the creation of Power House E.M.P in 2005, Johnathan “Kocky” Hamilton and Tony Khuu have created their own “niche” within urban community demands for “something different”. Known for events such as “Celebration Saturdays” at Element and “Phat Friday’s” at Roxy, this crew has dominated the club scene with a following that has grown with them from the “UCF school days”. Their motto, “Quality is Power” was born from an inspiration to create an entertainment company known for “humble, honest & loyal” business practices. With their “real” style, they are looking to expand their audience larger than our latest natural disaster. Don’t bother with the “booms” people – you WANT to absorb this vibe.
For those that don’t know, what is PowerHouseOrlando.com? John - Powerhouse started as a college base Promo Company now expanding throughout Greater Orlando. Our vision is to provide Orlando with the hottest events, a breath of fresh air, presenting the city with a new phase of partying. Tony - Our overall purpose is to “fill in the gaps” of Orlando nightlife, whether it’s bringing our original niche of college kids in the mix with locals, or making the transition of partying “just to have a good time” to events with a purpose. Most people say you guys are the originators of College night clubbing with your various events. How were you guys able to make that night so successful? John - Not being cocky, but we were probably to most influential people to step foot at UCF. Tony

Do you guys have any shout outs at this time?
John - First and foremost, GOD, Our individual families, Powerhouse Family, Frontline Promotions, the Central Florida Cities. Tony - Shout out to GOD, our team, and our family. Everyone else who is a part of any of our events and whoever has made money with us, you guys know who you are, let’s get it! Follow Powerhouse on Twitter @TonyKhuu & @JohnKocky
created the first college based promo company on that side of town, then I came along and we perfected it. Tony - We are the originators because we have effectively branded ourselves to be “THOSE GUYS.” It helps with being successful and we are just consistent with fresh ideas and events. The lovely thing about the college crowd is that there are always fresh crowds coming in! With the combination of a great crowd, hard work and just being passionate with what we do, it allows us to stay relevant. You guys seem so humble in what you do. How are you guys able to remain humble in a business where people “show off”? John - We just play our game, the most humble person in the room is the strongest. We believe in doing good business, having integrity and keeping our word. We have nothing to prove as long as those elements are aligned. Tony - We remain humble because even though we are successful in our own city, we want more than just local success. We remember what it was like to get
in the “game”. We came from being a fan of some of your biggest dj’s, waiting in line for clubs, to now running the show. We may be successful in some eyes, but in our own eyes we have a lot more to do. What would you say is the secret to the success of the company?
If you think that you are the Talk of Orlando, you can submit your information to talkoforlando@gmail. com subject line “I am the Talk of Orlando”
John - Just being consistent. Staying loyal and knowing when and when not to make moves. Rome wasn’t built in a day, neither is the next phase of Orlando’s nightlife. Tony - Being humble and honest. Our name is clean when it comes to business. From financial to keeping our word, we always strive for good business. Even if it doesn’t benefit us now, it will in the long run.
It seems as though there is some sort of segregation between promotional companies in the city. Would you guys agree with that statement? John - Yes (said with a straight face) the saturation of the market has got everyone against each
