Near the end of May, the MAC Presidential torch officially passed from Dan Lett to Angie Minges. We are grateful for President Lett’s leadership during such an unpredictable and challenging time and wish him well. President Minges takes the helm as the first woman President of the Club, and we are looking forward to all she and her Board will accomplish in the next year! On the cover of this publication, you’ll see an image that depicts many “firsts,” including our first female Member and Olympic gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Read more about the significance of Minges’ election on page 16 of this Cherry Diamond issue. As we move from spring into summer, things continue to trend positively at the Club! With so many of our employees and Members vaccinated and CDC and local guidelines relaxing, we can look forward to fully enjoying some of our favorite MAC activities. Please note that under Missouri law, any individual entering the premises or engaging the services of the MAC waives all civil liability against the Club for any damages based on inherent risks associated with an exposure or potential exposure to COVID-19, except for recklessness or willful misconduct. We want to keep our Members and employees safe while enjoying our Club to the fullest! On another positive note, the membership campaign we’ve been running since November has been a huge success! In the past seven months, 83 Members have received the Platinum Card, and several have received more than $1,000 in referral bonus money. As of mid-May, the Club has 97 new Members, and we’re so excited to welcome them to our MAC community! For those who aren’t a part of our Platinum Partnership program yet, participants enjoy benefits like unlimited use of athletic and fitness facilities, outdoor pool privileges, access to seven golf courses, Cherry Diamond magazine subscription, garage parking at the Downtown Clubhouse and more. Participants also enjoy up to $1,200 annually in reduced dues and Diamond Club benefits. Contact the Membership Department at 314-539-4438 to learn more. For those who have secured their Platinum Partners, continuing to refer additional new Members has its benefits! With each referred Member accepted to the Club, you will receive a $500 Club credit in the form of a Platinum Card. There’s no limit on the number of incentives you can earn, but act quickly, since this program will end in August! In early May, we launched a brand new website and mobile app. We hope you’ve gotten registered and logged in and have taken time to explore its new features. While the layout of the website looks much the same, we’re looking forward to rolling out new features in the coming months. We also hosted Mobile App Launch Week in mid-May, offering free drinks for a week to Members who showed their wait staff that they’d downloaded the new app. We hope you enjoyed the drinks and are using the app to book fitness classes, register for events, check your statements and more!
