"This is our time and place to prepare for college and life afterward. It is where we begin becoming the men we will be, " said senior cadet Travis Howard, "Taps " cadet co-editor. "For the seniors, this is our time to look back on experiences andfi'iendships made, and to prepare for what life will bring. For the cadets, this is our memory book. 1st Sgt. Kyle L. Caperton, Walnut Shade, Missouri Well, boys, its finally over ... the time we've been waiting for from the day we got here. These years at MMA have taught me something very important: friendship. My friends at MMA will be my friends for the rest of my life. I want to mention those who were closest to me during my time here. Alex, there aren't even any words to describe how good a friend you are, and how generous you've always been to me. We did some pretty crazy stuff. Make sure you stay off the Listerine and dont eat too much cereal. Cowboy Jack, this is just the beginning of our adventures. This summer is going to be great, out on the ranch. Jake, you are a wonderful friend. Poletti, you're the coolest Italian I know — of course I only know like two. Garrett, you were definitely the coolest new boy, and it's too bad you didn't come a couple years earlier, when things were a lot more fun! Cheng, my head! Aaron G. (Goat), you made it! Aaron W. (Hulk), don't get any bigger, man, and try not to hurt anybody. Krause (Paco), you are one crazy person, and 1'11 never forget all the fun times we had together. Bobby, have fun next year, and try to stay in sports. Perro, we don't have to spin rifles anymore. Cody, don't forget that I was the best first sergeant and you were the best platoon sergeant — not! Victor, you're such a playa: don't break too many girls' hearts. Nick, moo bla! Iga, take care of Paco next year. Olea, my guardian angel! Poncho, cameras! To all you others: Vassen, Newman, Blue, Herni, Zuazua, Filla, Garza (Chango), Espinosa (Buda), Zach, Nevin and Bonadiminkia (and to everybody else I couldnt list!), thanks for everything. I'm out! Maj. Kuan Yu Cheng, Echo Commander, Chicago, Illinois Six years of memories — of being upset, feeling depressed, having fun, successes and so many other things that happened at Missouri Military Academy. Some people might say I wasted my time, but 1 have no regrets. Maybe there are things I missed, but from where I stand, I have far more things that I wouldn't give up for anything. Alex and Goat, it has been too long. That's all I have to say, but I guess it is time for us to go in different directions. Kyle, don't forget about our Bubble-Trouble time, and we'll still chill together, but I need my phone back first. Jackipoo, we had too much fun in art, hey? Give back my Levis. Webcrrrrr! What are we doing today? Gavin, I'll see you at the airport. Nick, your poems arc horrible! EEE, whats the answer? Fajen, Saturday attention troop as a nation. Crack in the wall, quit chewing on your pen. Floward, go look on first floor. George, just stop talking! Cody, get off your phone. Hugh, you have been here way too long. Bobby, you owe me them Levis! "Oh, Oh, Oh, it's magic!" Zua, good luck with Oh and Maria. Miller, those cheese puffs was Nevin's. Guti, get out of my' bathroom. Charlie Second, assemble! There are way too many to mention all of you. If I disappointed you, I'm sorry! Many people came into my life at MMA, and many left, but the most important thing is the brotherhood we built together. What I have learned and accomplished at MMA docs not only remain here, but I will take it with me and use it to build a road of my own. Good luck, my brothers! Capt. Nicholas Fajen, S-l, Lufkin, Texas I am still in shock that four long years are coming to an end. It's about 22:14 the night before this quote is due. This is real proof that there is something learned at MMA — mastery of the an of procrastination! First and foremost, I would like to thank my parents. Without this experience, it is doubtful I would have moved so far forward in my life. Second, I would like to thank my former roommates for putting up with me and not killing me in my sleep. Vassen, small tribal villages are still the ideal setting for nuclear weapons testing. Weaver, calm down and everything will sort itself out. Wcgman, I ought to leave you out of this. Poletti, it has been an experience, from your welcome that my parents didn't understand in August to persuading me that I might want to write one of these after all. To my friends, both at home and here, thanks. I'm not sure how many times I would have lost my mind, had it not been for some sage advice. A few faculty members 1 would like to thank: Maj. Treadway, thanks for your advice and fairness; CSM Williams, every day a holiday, every meal a feast; Lt. Col. Ireland, thank you for teaching me that doing the right thing is much more important than what is popular; Maj. McClarey, relxx ... all feelings arc mutual, sir; SFC Kelsay, it has been a fun year and fun working with you; 1SG Seibert, thanks for having faith in me; Capt. Mansfield, yes, I wrote this, even though it isn't brimming with sarcasm; and Maj. Ableman, East Texas will be just fine, even if it is its own little country. And finally, "it's time to turn the page and leave me alone!"

Cpl. Garrett D. Gregory, Houston, Texas Here 1 am, in a place I never thought I would be. I argued with my parents about coming, and got into countless fights with them, thinking that nothing could lid change me and this school wasn't going to help
at all ... just make things worse. I thought I was fine, just the way I was, and I thought I wasn't going to change. Then I arrived at MMA, met some wonderful friends I never thought 1 would have, realized what direction I was heading and decided to change that path and become a man. I got into a college I never thought I would get accepted to, got along with my parents and actually agreed with them. 1 could never have done all that and made this change in myself without the help of some very special people: My family, who decided to send me here because they wanted me to change for the better, and have told me I could be anything I wanted if I just tried. They helped me realize that. My amazing girlfriend: Mavel stuck with me the entire time, helped me get through everything, has made my life amazing and shown me how to love. To all my boys here at MMA, who showed me what true friendship is, and have shown me Friendship that I would have never found anywhere else -- you guys know who you are. Bros for life!

Pvt. Samuel P. Kovar, Jefferson City, Missouri Well, it has been a long four years, but it is over. It has been good, and it has been bad ... and then it has just been MMA, but we made it through it all. For those of you who have known me from the beginning at MMA, thanks for the help. You have all been there for me at one time or another. "Jeff," you're a great BC and a great friend. Sorry about giving you a lot of trouble — not! High five! Caperton, you have made me waste countless minuets waiting for the keypad on my door to unfreeze, but I guess it's OK because I have done the same to you. I'll miss ya, man. Davis (Gavin), you are the most spontaneous person I know, and that made things interesting. Wegman

2007 Senior Chronicle 1
Class of 2007 Class History Presented at the Senior Banquet, May 2, 2007 By Cadet 2nd Lt. Alex Bozarth Seven years ago. who would have thought that we would still be here today in this uniform, a part of the Missouri Military Academy Corps of Cadets? MM A has made many transformations since our first steps here: a new Bravo Barracks, teaching and staffing changes, many friends who have come and gone as former cadets and graduates. Of the eventual 2007 seniors, only Aaron Goetting was here when I arrived. Upon first arriving on campus, we were all overwhelmed, learning to drill, take orders, and asking for the umpteenth lime. What's a tour and what's a press? Why can't we watch TV while we study? How were we to ever survive without TV, girls and hanging out at the mall? The first day al MM A, in mid-January of the 2000-01 school year, found this writer walking onto campus with older brother John, who had started as a freshman. As with all of us, arriving on campus brought about a strange new chapter in our book of life. Back in those days little 4th-, 5lh- and 6th-grade cadets resided in Headquarters with a House Mother on the second floor of Stribling Hall, while the more mature 7th- and 8lh-graders lived in Alpha Barracks. We began hearing rumors of plans for the old Bravo Barracks, built in 1901, to be torn down to make way for a new one. I For some odd reason there is a vivid memory of first meeting Goetting, who had arrived at MM A earlier in the fall of 2000. We spent our first study hall together melting the erasers of our pencils on the bulb of our desk lamps. That first year went by very quickly, and before we were ready we were in 7th grade in 2001-02. looking at a hole in the ground where the new Bravo was to be built. During the course of that year we gained a greater understanding of the Academy and its traditions. Around Christmas 2001, a new kid named Kuan Yu "Alex" Cheng, who did not know but two words in the English language, was added to the class of 2007. Some cadets poked fun at him for that, but we decided to see who this person really was. Not many people know this, but the only way we were truly able to communicate with Cheng that year was through playing card games. That is how the spark of friendship grew. By the end of our 7th grade year the new Bravo was nearly complete, and once again summer was fast upon the now three of us. Dismayed with the brevity of summer, we were soon back at school for the 2002-03 academic year: but now, as big. bad 8th-graders, we added another good friend. We honestly did not know how or if he was going to graduate from 8th grade, much less continue on to high school, but somehow new friend and classmale Nick Wegman survived. Rooming with him the last month or so of 8th grade was a frolicking experience, which included fun limes with our Bates shoe cleaner and sliding competitions in the hall. It was an interesting year, with Goetting. Cheng. Wegman and I becoming good friends, sticking together on our path into the intimidating world of the MMA High School. We all knew things in the High School would probably be exponentially different in the fall of 2003, as compared to the Junior School. The first day as freshmen found us wandering around aimlessly in the new environment. That year got off to a rocky start with a new roommate named Samuel Kovar. Several other interesting characters joined the Class of 2007. and they, too, felt an overpowering compulsion to join the challenge of eating very large quantities of cereal. Somewhere there was a lesson to be learned from that mistake, but surely it was lost on us for the moment. Like Samuel, other true friends to join the class of 2007 that year were Nick Fajen, Guiseppi Poletti, Israel Avelar, Corey Filla, Gavin Davis. Guillermo Garza. A.J. Vassen. Lalo Beccera. and Jose Hernandez. During the course of the year, D-3rd managed to win platoon competition for the 5th year in a row. In May 2004. brother John Bozarth graduated, and with him went a large group of our friends. It finally hit us that we were al MMA for the long haul, and we had better suck it up and soldier on. Our sophomore year, 2004-05, did not prove to be as eventful as the previous years. Il was, however, fun because some amazing friendships had grown and still others were on the horizon. Il was rumored that you had to gel in a fight with Jackson Davis to ever truly become his friend. Well, let's just say a wonderful friendship has grown since one day in football practice. That year Giuseppe Poletti, too, became a friend to all as he started to speak intelligible English. Additionally, four other new boys were added to the Class of 2007: Adrian Martinez, Aaron Weber, Jose Flores and Woo-Jai Jang. Upon the conclusion of that year came the realization we only had two years left in our run, and we had belter make the best of it. Our junior year. 2005-06. started with a lesson in personal hygiene and how to appropriately use Scope mouthwash. The year was very significant because, as a class, we started to realize we would be the leadership our senior year. That's when we started to pay more attention to the leadership styles and techniques used by our predecessors. Jake Musick and his family came to tour the Academy, and soon thereafter he became a member of the Class of 2007. Three other cadets also joined the class that year: Jose Espinosa, Albert Park and Cameron Meeks-Stratton. That year came to a screeching halt with Final Formation and the realization that the leadership of the Corps of Cadets for 2006-07 was now in our hands. Football our senior year definitely would not have been the same if Garrelt Gregory had not chosen to join the team. The class would not be complete had he. Kenneth Alvarez. Fernando Silva and Mauricio Pacheco not joined us for their senior year. The end of the year is approaching very quickly - sometimes too quickly and sometimes not quickly enough. We are not too sure we are ready for it to end so soon, faced with the uncertainty of the new chapter of our lives that comes with the command, "Dismissed!" None the less, we have met some amazing people, have seen things in a different light, and have had an experience not available to all, while in attendance at MMA. Il has been quite a thrilling irip. We will each miss our friends in the Class of 2007. Il is frightening to think that with graduation, some of us will walk out of each other's lives. MMA has had, and will continue to have, a profound impact on each of us. We are forever linked in the brotherhood called the "MMA Experience." What a ride ... but we survived, and are ultimately stronger in character for our efforts.
WE ARE THE CLASS OF 2007. AND NO ONE CAN EVER TAKE THAT OR OUR BROTHERHOOD AWAY FROM US!!! May God grant us all fruitful lives! 52

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF2007! We love you, Alex! Mom, Dad, Ryan, David, John and Emily
Alex; So now the legacy ends and this generation of Bozarth men leave MMA. We can only wonder with excitement what the future will hold for you.
MMA has been your home for seven years, and in those years there have been some incredible opportunities for us all to learn with the help of those we all have grown to love and respect at MMA. Thus we realize -- to look at you and accurately know you anyone can see you have truly grown to be a scholar and a gentleman. We are proud of you, and more importantly ...we want you to be proud, too. You have every right.
"We don't receive wisdom; rue must discover itfor ourselves after a journey that no one can take for us or spare us. " — Marcel Protest (1871 -1922)

Congratulations, Jake Musick!!! "My Wish" I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow, And each road leads you where you want to go, And ifyou're faced with a choice, and you have to choose, I hope you choose the one that means the most to you. And if one door opens to another door closed, I hope you keep on walkin' tilyou find the window, Ifit's cold outside, show the world the warmth ofyour smile, But more than anything more than anything, My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to, Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small, You never need to cany more than you can hold, And while you 're out there getting where you 're getting to, I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too, Yeah, this, is my wish.
/ hope you never look back, but ya neverforget, All the ones who love you, in the place you left, I hope you always forgive, and you never regret. And you help somebody every chance you get, Oh, you find God's grace, in eveiy mistake, Andyou always give more than you take.
But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything, My wish for you is that this life becomes all that you want it to, Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small. You never need to carry more than you can hold. And while you 're out there getting where you 're getting to, I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too, Yeah, this, is my wish. May all your dreams stay big

Congratulations, Aaron! Aaron; This last year, your senior year in high school, is finally over! CONGRATULATIONS! Your accomplishments are truly remarkable! You stepped up to the academics and kept pushing forward each year with steady improvement. You have become a solid and sensitive leader ofyour peers, and you have earned the respect ofyour fellow cadets, as well as that of the faculty and staff at Missouri Military Academy.
Your challenges have not been easy, but you have worked hard and proven yourself to many ... most importantly to yourself. There are so many who have stood beside you along the way and shared in every accomplishment ofyours. Tess — there could never be another young lady in your life who loves you more than your sister! Gotti, Urs, Madi & Rick — your second family, always! Grandma and Grandad love you so very much, Aaron; you will never know the happiness you have given them. Aunt Cele — not many have a great aunt in their lives, and very, very few have a great aunt as cool as your Aunt Cele! Uncle Bill, Aunt Jane and Uncle Jim wish you all the best. John and Laura send you bear hugs (watch out!) and best wishes! And even though they couldnt be here to celebrate with you, Lucas and Claudio are in Switzerland, and now know what weve known all along that their brother can do anything he puts his mind to! And then, of course, there's Bella, Boomer and Bugaboo, who will always believe they taught you EVERYTHING you know! Papi and I have watched you change right before our very eyes. To say we are proud is such an understatement! You are so ready for this next step. As you consider all of your options and begin to make decisions on which road to follow, we hope you carry a few thoughts along from us. Stay true to yourself and surround yourself with good people. True friends are like mirrors, reflecting the best you have to offer. Life is all about learning mistakes are how you get better at something, so welcome those lessons. Look for those in need and lend a hand along your journey; compassion nourishes the soul. And finally, know this: Our love surrounds you, A — no matter how long you're gone or how far you travel. We are always here for you! We love you.
