We are not the typical triple threat boarding school.

We are not the typical triple threat boarding school.

While most boarding schools require faculty to teach, coach, and live in the dorm, we do things differently in Farmington.

As a residential community, all faculty members are expected to participate in the life of the community, but Porter’s faculty don’t live in student dorms! They reside in school-owned houses and apartments adjacent to our campus, and the dorms are staffed by a separate residential life faculty.

Our focus is classroom teaching. Faculty teach only two classes per trimester and co-curricular responsibilities are aligned with their passions and interests.

A teaching and learning structure that promotes focus and balance.

At Porter’s, we “commit to the work of building a school community rooted in the inherent worth and dignity of each member . . .” Porter’s faculty are creative teachers who embrace change and want to help transform education. They work to develop the next generation of female leaders in an innovative and supportive professional environment.

Miss Porter’s School is the place for you.
