EV: The sweet aroma of chocolate pervades the street corner, and the huge line of potential customers waiting outside the door of the small shop acts as an indication that you have arrived at the fantastic Levain Bakery. If you walk too quickly on Amsterdam Avenue, you might just miss this tiny bakery. Located underneath a trendy design store, Levain Bakery serves probably the best cookies I have ever eaten. Although I have often waited over an hour in line, the reward is worth it. Every time I go, I purchase the Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie. This masterpiece is well worth the four dollar price tag. The soft interior combined with the crunchy exterior of baked dough makes this the best cookie ever. The cookie is so rich in flavor and so plentiful that only one is enough to quench my hunger. Even though I have only tried their cookies, Levain Bakery has many more goods on the menu: baguettes, muffins, and Italian delicacies. This bakery is about a 30 minute walk from Regis and is a great place to bring your friends, family, and maybe even your pets (they have dog and cat treats!). As a cookie expert, I recommend this bakery to anyone who lives in NYC; trust me, you will not regret it.

There are six restaurants, an Italian cooking school, a Nutella station, and a place to get gelato. It’s also a supermarket filled with food, cutlery, cookware, and more—all produced by Italian companies! the six restaurants are themed by what type of food they prepare. One prepares vegetables, another fish, another meat, and yet another is a beer pub that also serves food.

Furthermore, the cooking school functions as a restaurant at lunchtime.

But my favorite restaurant is definitely “pizza and pasta”. The pasta that they make is always delicious, and the pizza is even better! After a meal at “pizza and pasta”, I always go to the Nutella station to eat a little bit of amazing chocolate.
