In August 2003, the Chicago Housing Authority requested the assistance of the City Design Center in developing conceptual plans and design strategies for the Washington Park Development. The Washington Park Planning Project began in the Fall of 2003 with a graduate planning studio. The Washington Park Design Education Workshops were the second component of the Washington Park Planning Project and took place in the Fall of 2004 on October 27 and December 14. This report describes the process, content and conclusion of the Washington Park Design Education Workshops for Fall 2004 and Spring 2005.
