Designed to be easily installed in new or existing wall outlet receptacles, the Z Duplex is the perfect solution for that newly installed or upgraded home theater. The result? Once the Z circuitry is working to clean, condition and protect your AV system, you will instantly enjoy “blacker” blacks, deeper color saturation, and increased shadow detail; movie sound tracks come through with much clearer dialog. Foley sounds and background music become more distinguishable, with theater-like quality. Because Z Filterpole technology lowers the noise floor, you will enjoy pinpoint audio image placement within a lifelike soundstage, all with clear and authoritative bass.
The Z Stabilizer II’s patented technology, designed to work in parallel with your system, removes any conducted differential-mode noise and audio frequency distortion from the power line. The Z Stabilizer II improves Power Factor, allowing the utilization of all the available current from the power line. Because of the Z Stabilizer II’s parallel circuitry, a component connected within 3 meters to the same AC line receives the same performance enhancements!

Matrix 6 Audio Interconnects
About the Matrix 3 Interconnect
About the Matrix 6 Interconnect
The Matrix 3 uses new smaller Multipole™ circuitry hidden within the RCA connector, making it the most advanced connector in the world! MIT engineering has successfully miniaturized Multipole Technology to the size of a button. It is then sandwiched inside a unique RCA connector. You'll hear better bass, cleaner midrange and enhanced image and focus from this svelte RCA enclosure design that is as easy to install as any non-networked cable design.
Lightweight and easy to use, the Matrix 6 interconnect with Multipole™ technology is a powerful compliment to any modern system. Using miniaturized passive network circuitry, this design provides six Poles of Articulation inside a compact and "corner free" enclosure for easy installation. Inside this enclosure, MIT engineers put to work their understanding of the differences between harmonics, inharmonics and overtones, and how “just cable” can negatively impact the music’s timbre. It takes Multipole Technology to preserve the natural timbre of the music. Why? With Multipole technology the natural harmonics of the music are not replaced with overtones. You'll hear better bass, clearer midrange and enhanced imaging from the Matrix 6 interconnect. It's the perfect cable for the mid to high-end home theater or stereo system! MIT recommends the Matrix 18 speaker interface as an ideal match to this interconnect.

Matrix 18—Speaker Interfaces
Matrix 12 Speaker Interfaces
Matrix 18 Speaker Interfaces
MIT's new Matrix speaker interfaces deliver what you expect from MIT interfaces: excellent articulation, a large soundstage and a “musicality” far beyond “just cable”. Only the engineers at MIT understand the differences between harmonics, inharmonics and overtones and how “just cable” can negatively impact the music’s timbre. MIT cables preserve the natural timbre of the music because the natural harmonics of the music are not replaced with overtones.
The Matrix 18 provides a highly articulate, smooth and linear audio response on a low-noise background, delivering the broadest range of features and performance for the least amount of money! The Matrix 18 also includes our patented CVT® Coupler, which eliminates reflected energy. These energy reflections occur in any system, and can cause oscillation in the system amp as well as other problems.
The Matrix 12 builds upon the extremely popular AVt1 speaker interface, but in a smaller network enclosure at the output (speaker) end. The Matrix 12 is a superb performer, using 12 Poles of Articulation. You can expect great detail and focus with a wide, deep soundstage. This cable uses eight-conductor geometry and P.E. insulation for excellent bass and low distortion. Comes terminated with bananas (input) and spades (output) for solid, reliable connections.

Matrix 28 Speaker Interfaces
Matrix HD 38 Speaker Interfaces
Bringing true performance and affordability together for the first time at this level, the Matrix 28 Speaker Interface is a game changer. A deeper soundstage complimented by authoritative bass and crystal clear mids and highs are just the beginning of what the listener will experience with this high-end interface. The Matrix HD 28 preserves additional timbre and more of the natural textures and density of the audio signal, bringing the listener closer to the music than ever before at this price. Uses MIT patented iconn™ connectors—4 spades and 4 bananas included.
Advanced laboratory test and measurement equipment enabled Music Interface Technologies to include “Fractional Articulation Technology” in the designs of its reference level products. MIT first unveiled F.A.T. in 2010 in the $39,000 Oracle MA-X Rev. 2 HD Speaker Interfaces. Rather than the user selectable feature of the Oracle Matrix Super HD 90, F.A.T. has been fixed into the interface’s network boxes. The Matrix High Definition 38 Speaker Interface comes to play with 38 poles of articulation, drastically outperforming everything else in its so-called class. Improving over its predecessor, the AVt® MA, you’ll hear: • more defined three dimensional soundstage • better low level and micro imaging • authoritative and controlled bass • crystal clear mids and highs • Uses MIT patented iconn™ connectors—4 spades and 4 bananas included

Oracle Series—Speaker Interface Upgrades
MIT Speaker Jumper Cables
Oracle MA Speaker Interface Upgrades
New! Custom length Jumper Cables designed to fit bi-wire speaker applications perfectly–for a clean, reliable connection! Music Interface Technologies is now offering custom-made lengths of jumper cables in three levels: Shotgun, Magnum and Oracle! Jumpers are available 16 to 32 inches (40.6 to 81.3 cm), fixed price, cut to order.
MIT Cables has introduced new UPGRADED versions of the legendary Oracle Series speaker interfaces! This upgrade features two of the most ground-breaking technnologies ever offered by MIT's laboratories: the Adjustable Articulation Response Module (A.A.R.M.) and Fractional Articulation Technology (F.A.T.). Current Oracle MA owners have two upgrade path options: upgrade to the Oracle MA-X for an increase in poles of articulation of 71 to 105 and the addition of A.A.R.M., or upgrade to the Oracle MA-X HD, which besides adding more poles of articulation and A.A.R.M., also adds “FAT” technology. Current MA-X owners can upgrade directly to the “HD” version or “Super HD” version, adding our latest “FAT” switching and more Poles of Articulation.
Shotgun Jumpers
The Technologies: A.A.R.M. adds yet another new dimension of control to the listening experience, allowing the user to precisely “fine tune” the articulation in a high-end system through the use of unique adjustable dual articulation controls. “F.A.T.” technology enables the MA-X HD or Super HD interfaces to preserve the integrity of the harmonics, retrieve additional information and to form individual images with crisp detail and without artificial hardness. See page A10 for more information on Super HD technology.
MIT is able to pass on substantial savings to current owners of Oracle MA products by reusing portions of the existing interfaces during the factory upgrade process. A full MIT Limited Lifetime Warranty is included with the upgrade. Code

Theoretically, if you could use three different cables at the same time, each with a different Articulation Pole, to interconnect two audio components together, you would have an interface with three Articulation Poles; one for the highs, one for the mids, and one for the lows. Together, they would work to transport the audio signal from component to component with more articulation. This is what MIT Cables accomplishes with its patented technology, to a much greater extent, within each engineered interface. We call this Multipole Technology. The benefit is more lifelike vocals and instruments, mid and high frequencies become less bright or tiring, voices are clear and understandable, and bass frequencies become tight and deep.

A cable that has its Articulation Pole tuned to a high frequency is described by audiophiles as “bright” or “fast.” Conversely, a cable that has its Articulation Pole tuned to a lower frequency would be described by audiophiles as “muddy” or “veiled.” MIT Cables’ interfaces are engineered to have multiple Articulation Poles.
Code

Every audio cable, no matter the manufacturer, has a point along the audio bandwidth where the relationship of capacitance and inductance is most efficient at storing energy. We refer to this point of efficiency as an Articulation Pole. Electrically, articulation is a measure of the efficiency of a cable or network to store energy and transport power. This transportable power is used to move the speaker and produce sound. The more efficiently the energy is stored and then transported, the more natural the sound will be.

About RG-6 Coaxial Cables
Tip: Make custom length coaxial cables with Twist-On Connectors from page 1.2
Understanding the Performance
RG-6 Coaxial Cables Are there differences?
Cut
Is there really a difference between one RG-6 and another? Why should I buy a cable for 0.60/ft when I can get one for 0.09/ft. Should I buy quadshielded cable instead of dual or single-shielded? I’ve heard terms like VP, bandwidth, and capacitance used when describing coax cables. What do these terms mean? Do the materials used to construct the cable really effect the performance, and are they worth the extra cost?
Twist
Strip
The differences– All cables are not created equal. The better the materials, construction techniques and technology—the better the performance. Understanding this is extremely critical, since you can’t easily upgrade your cable once it’s in the wall. Make sure you get it right the first time, install a cable that provides the best performance. Wiring with the correct product will ensure all of the performance possible and will not limit future system upgrades. This is especially true, once you consider the extreme bandwidth demands of modern High-Definition and Digital TV signals.
MIT twist-on connectors enable quick and easy terminations for virtually any A/V requirement, on the spot (without the need for specialized tools or training). Just cut and strip the wire, twist on the connector and connect your equipment.
There are just a few determining factors when it comes to coaxial cable design. But if the proper specifications are not followed, the performance of the cable will suffer. Here is some background technology information on those determining factors and how they effect performance:

Conductors- Copper is the best choice due to its high conductivity, affordability and workability. The purer the better, with the standard at, at least 99.99% pure. In less expensive cables, copper-clad steel is often used. Steel cables are undesirable due to the increased resistance/impedance created by the steel conductor. Silver is often used, in some more expensive “upgrade” cables (due to its very low resistance/impedance at higher frequencies), but the cost can be prohibitive. For high performance, high bandwidth systems, a great alternative to solid silver is silver-clad

For an added measure of strain relief, you can attach (as shown) the CI-ICRB4 Solderless banana to the tines of any conventional spade connector. As an example: a "Bookshelf" style speaker will require cables to hang from the mounting posts behind the speakers. This puts unnecessary strain at the solder points, reducing the useable life of any Speaker cable. By adding the Universal Solderless Banana to a conventional spade termination, you can re-terminate in a manner that reduces lateral strain to almost zero. This connection has no sonic signature and is recommended for use with any MIT Cable.
Shielding- The shielding is what protects the signal from outside interference such as EMI and RFI, while also providing a return for the negative signal back to the source. So, shield materials can have a large effect on performance. Dual-shield vs. quad-shield— It’s really not the number of shields, but how well they cover that really matters. Coverage, and resistance is everything when we consider shielding. The rule is at least 95% coverage copper braid (for low frequency protection) and at least 20° to 30° overlap on the foil shield (for high-frequency protection). Shielding is not cumulative, two braided shields that are 60% and 40% coverage will not give you 100% coverage, the combination can actually only end up to be about 80%, leaving 20% uncovered. Also, more is not necessarily better. Anything more than 100% shielding can be overkill just creating more capacitance, which reduces the bandwidth of the cable, and in turn system performance. Quite often, quad-shielded cables will tend to increase capacitance to such high levels, they will actually reduce the systems overall performance. So, in most cases, a well designed dual-shielded cable will work best. This is why most manufacturers top level cables are dual-shielded. Dielectric material- The primary dielectric is the insulating material that separates the center conductor from the shield. The more air in the dielectric material, the lower the capacitance, and the higher the velocity of propagation (VP). Foamed or gas-injected dielectrics are more costly to manufacture, but are necessary for low capacitance and high velocity of propagation. VP is the speed that the signal travels through the wire and its value is expressed as a percentage of the speed of light. Low capacitance and high velocity of propagation are key for wide bandwidth high-quality video transmission. Below is a comparison of various cables and their construction.

AVt In-Wall Speaker Modules
About MIT Clean AC Power Technology
Q: What are MIT Filterpoles™? A: Poles of Attenuation (as referenced in The Impedance Domain)*
Tip: AVt speaker modules in-wall installation from page 1.7
FILTERPOLE TECHNOLOGY
A properly built AC filter will not only attenuate unwanted noise on the AC power line, but it will also optimize the power factor.
AVt speaker modules: perfect for In-wall speaker systems. MIT’s patented Network MultiPole™ technology can be easily installed into existing homes or new construction! You will get better bass, clearer midrange and enhanced image and focus with these patented CI-AVt speaker modules. CI-AVt modules feature 11 articulation poles/points, producing a (significantly) greater bandwidth of articulation. Most owners report an increase in soundstage of 40% or more! Uses the same technology used in MIT products by Lucasfilm’s Skywalker Sound.
1
Best when used with MIT 12/2 or 12/4 wire for the main in-wall cable run. MIT CI-AVt speaker modules can be placed exactly where they’re needed, while hiding most of the cabling inside the wall. Visit www.mitcables.com for more about MIT Technology. Since 1984, MIT has developed many patented network technologies that help overcome the inefficiencies of “just” wire. These technologies preserve the integrity of the audio signal, providing superior performance. For more info, see the supporting MIT White Papers on the MIT web site.
The best way to attenuate unwanted noise is to create a very low impedance (a zero of impedance across the load which acts as an attenuation pole to the noise) surrounding the frequency (or frequencies) of the undesirable noise. In the case of audio, that would be at any frequency other 0.0 circuit in parallel, around the load. MIT was awarded this than the power line frequency. This is best accomplished by placing a tuned patent in November 9, 1993: number 5,260,862. Also important is the Power Factor which is a (dimensionless) number between 0 and 1. When power factor is equal to 0, the energy flow is entirely reactive, and stored energy in the load returns to the source on each cycle. When the power factor is 1, all the energy supplied by dB the source is consumed by the load and nothing is reflected back to the source. MIT was awarded a patent on this technology regarding audio in July 13, 1993: number 5,227,962. *for additional in-depth information, please refer to MIT Technical Note 101: “Transportable Power in Audio Cables: Energy Storage Elements and the Power Factor”, available in PDF format on the MIT website reference library at www.mitcables.com. -80.0

equipped cables take a new approach to improving the quality of your AC. They accomplish this by applying different versions of MIT's patented Stabilizer circuit to the power cords themselves. MIT Stabilizer designs are superior to standard AC filters because they don’t limit current, can improve power factor for improved dynamics and bass response, and improve the soundstage stability. Combine this unique AC processing with very high quality cables, and you have the best of both worlds! Power Paper
MIT Adjustable Impedance System/ Phono Cables What does the Impedance Switching Do? from page 4.6
Power-line Noise: How Series Filters Work—
(and why they don’t always)
Impedance is the measure of the opposition that an electrical circuit presents to the passage of a current when a voltage is applied. In quantitative terms, it is the complex ratio of the voltage to the current in an alternating current (AC) circuit. It includes both the circuit’s resistive, as well as reactive components. It is well understood that a cable influences the performance of the individual components it is interfacing into a system. Volume output and high frequency loss are the first things that audiophiles notice when impedances are not optimized. MIT has also written papers regarding how the articulation response of the system is also influenced by impedance variations (Please refer to “The Effects of Audio Cable as Related to Articulation of Speech and Music”, MIT White Paper No. 102, available on our web site under White Papers).
Most power-line treatment products depend upon series filters to correct AC line noise problems in the audio/video system. However, these series filters, unlike MIT’s parallel filter system, have inherent flaws that make them ineffective at many vital frequencies in A/V use, and cause them to add more noise and distortions than they remove. In this paper, we will explain how:
MIT’s Selectable Impedance Networks allow the user to carefully match the cable’s impedance to the input and output impedances for your hardware. This allows the user to optimize sonic performance, improving tonality, micro dynamics, image size and specificity, as well as soundstage proportions. This same technology is also available in our MA Series Phono Cables.
• series-filter noise rejection is ineffective in real-world systems • • • •
U
tility power-line related noise, as most of us know, affects the audible performance of our audio & video systems. The primary means of reducing noise in the audio equipment’s circuits is passive AC line filtering placed in series with the AC utility line. Over the years, increased use of electronic filtering and regulation of DC power supplies have also helped isolate the power-line noise from amplifying circuits. Improved grounding techniques within the chassis (e.g., "star grounding" - please see Glossary, page 6) and from chassis to chassis have improved audio system noise performance.

MIT’s phono cables are specifically designed for the unique problems that cartridges and phono preamps
series inductors create distortion products at audible frequencies noise that is supposed to go to “ground” is fed back into the circuit safety issues require the use of inadequate capacitance to reduce noise series-filter resonances actually create noise at audible frequencies
These "line" filters are composed of inductor (L) and capacitor (C) networks placed in
present. Cartridges generate extremely low output levels, with “high” output cartridges putting 1/1000th the signal level of a typical CD player or other line level source. Noise picked up by the cable can easily distort that signal. Additionally, the terminating impedances of most phono preamps are very different from typical line level inputs. This will alter the articulation of the cable if not designed with that in mind. To solve both problems, MIT uses a unique doubled-shielded design for noise-free playback, and unique networks with selectable impedance settings (100 Ohm, 1 KOhms and 47 KOhms) in order to get the most from your records.
series between the AC line and the audio equipment. However, depending on how the noise is coupled to the power line, a great deal remains to be done to remove its effects from our systems. Hey! Where Does This Utility Line Noise Come From, Anyway? Power-line noise can come from a number of sources. These sources determine the type of noise and ultimately how it is removed. Noise that is coupled directly through the power-line conductors or wires by other equipment on the line is known as conduction-mode noise coupling. This mode is caused by equipment such as electric motors, arc welders, power supply switching circuits (found in computers, etc., as

Oracle MA-XV Interconnects
The Adjustable Articulation Response Module—A.A.R.M.
Use the chart below to select the MA-XV configuration that's right for you.
The articulation selector allows the listener to “fine tune” this interface for optimal balance between transients, detail, imaging and musicality. The illustration at left is an artist's rendering of the articulation response for each setting of the Articulation Selector switch. The base line, in terms of articulation, is the 50% line. The plus values raise the articulation above this baseline, which will enhance system transients, detail, imaging and musicality. The negative values below the baseline will tend to have the opposite effects on a system. Remember, it is purely subjective when deciding where the selector switch should be set—experiment a bit and set the selector switch where you feel your system performance is best, and enjoy the music! Fractional Articulation Technology (F.A.T.) and High Definition Interfaces
All New High Definition & Super High Definition Speaker Interfaces Advanced laboratory test and measurement equipment enabled Music Interface Technologies to include Fractional Articulation Technology in the designs of its reference level products. MIT first unveiled this technology in 2010 as “Fractional Articulation Technology” (F.A.T.) in its Oracle MA-X Rev. 2 HD Speaker Interfaces. Thanks to improved manufacturing techniques, MIT is proud to offer this technology in an entirely new product line, including Super High Definition Speaker Interfaces.
What is Fractional Articulation Technology? Prior to 2007, the thrust of MIT Cables’ engineering focused on optimizing a cable’s ability to transport an audio signal octave-to-octave. In 2007, MIT introduced Maximum Articulation Technology, which built upon previous Oracle designs to include the optimization of harmonics outside the octave. Now, through Fractional Articulation Technology (F.A.T.), interval optimization (the notes within the octave) is achieved, which improves the natural textures and density of the music. Simply put, by combining both Maximum Articulation and Fractional Articulation technologies, more of the audio signal is accurately transported through the interface. F.A.T. enables these interfaces to retrieve additional information that resides within each octave of the musical signal, forming individual images with crisp detail and without artificial hardness. Smooth and liquid from top to bottom, F.A.T. precisely extracts information lost by JUST cables, rendering incredible detail and solid image placement with more lifelike transients than ever thought possible. The result: improved timbre, texture and unparalleled detail, while preserving all of the delicate spatial information associated with Maximum Articulation.
Music intervals and cents– A cent is a unit of measure used for musical intervals. In the western scale, an octave contains 1200 cents. Because each octave has twelve notes, the interval or space between each note is 100 cents*. Cents are often used to measure extremely fine intervals. It is commonly accepted that a person can detect a five to six cent interval. For example, if middle C on a piano lost its tuning to a degree of six cents, the human ear will detect that the key is out of tune, whether it is sharp (up) or flat (down). Most audiophiles are able to discern a two cent interval or less. This may be due to practice, hours spent listening to music, or it may be simply related to an individual’s “innate ability”. This accounts for the ability of one person to detect the tiniest nuance in music while another person may not. Because of the audiophile’s acute ability to discern these minute differences between tones, extreme care must be given in the design and construction of an audio interface to ensure that the consonant intervals and all harmonics being optimized are done so within an exacting tolerance. This technology is only provided by MIT. For more information on Fractional Articulation Technology, please visit mitcables.com/fat.
* For example, the interval from C to C# is 100 cents. Musicians often describe this as a “half step”. The interval from C to D, or a “whole step”, is 200 cents.
