Park brings you the best of classic British guitar amplifier sound, feel and design. These amps are built the same way they were in the 1960s and 1970s; hand built to perfection. Selected high quality parts have been incorporated to recreate the tone, feel and reliability of the vintage classics. These tried and true tube circuits have been carefully recreated down to minute details.
Park® P45, P50, P50M (Vintage Series)
Colby® DTB (dual tone booster)
The Park Vintage Series heads and combos faithfully recreate classic vintage British circuits and sound quality.
With its pure tube and no compromise signal path the dtb, dual tone booster could just be the ultimate hand wired, dual channel amp. Adjectives like sparkle, fullness, compression, body, focused gain, smooth feel, and touch sensitivity have all been used by players to describe these amps.
As in the originals, the P45 uses KT66 output tubes in the power section for a rich tone that sounds great clean and overdriven. At 30 Watts clean and 45 Watts fully cranked, this circuit has been heard on countless seminal guitar recordings from the 1960s through the present. The P50 is warm but aggressive. This early plexi circuit with a GZ34 tube rectifier, EL34s and light filtering gives you the best of both worlds. Since the P50 has the early version of the 50 Watt plexi circuit, the bright channel still gives you plenty of bottom end. The P50M is more aggressive like a typical plexi. Build differences include steel chassis, split cathode, diode rectification, more filtering, less negative feedback and inclusion of the plexi bright cap. The result is tighter, brighter and more aggressive than the P50. All Park Vintage Series amps use carefully selected parts to recreate the sound and feel of the originals including custom USA made transformers, aluminum or steel welded chassis, custom Park banana knobs and Park black plexi block logo. Custom and limited edition models as well as various cabinet configurations are available. Go to www.parkamplifiers.com for more info.
Colby dtb amplifiers have been meticulously voiced and took over two years of tonal development. They were built in collaboration with Jim Weider, Tele player extraordinaire and known obsessive tone fanatic. These amps were put through their paces by Jim in both live and recording situations, and the development went on until he was more than satisfied! Jim’s involvement was so deep that his signature is on the back panel. • • • • • •
