is a rollicking around-the-world musical adventure. If the United Nations had a house band in 1962, hopefully we’d be that band.” Thomas Lauderdale, Bandleader/Pianist
THE SOUND: Pink Martini’s “little orchestra” draws inspiration from the romantic Hollywood musicals of the 1940s and ‘50s and crosses genres to make an eclectic, genre-defiant sound. Arrangements of Latin music, jazz, cabaret and cinema scores have made Pink Martini a favorite for a diverse audience of all ages. Their latest release, “Je dis oui!” traverses the world from France to Iran, Armenia, and South Africa and beyond. pinkmartini.com
