AFTER EFFECTS TOP TEN

< DEVELOPMENT < CONTENT < CONSIDERATIONS

VISUAL CONTENT As the main concept behind the motion is to promote and educate the vinyl toys of the munnyworld. There needs to be a clear range from the Kidrobot figures, allowing a direct relevance with the title sequence and idents.

These are examples I have created on Adobe Illustrator. All of them have been rendered using the pen tool and specific examples have been Illustrated using a graphics tablet. to demonstrate customisation of the product.

The iconic ‘E4’ logo, from channel fours range of programmes. Essentially, this seemed like the most effective choice of channel, as it has an understanding in comedy, especially American. As the Kidrobot range has been created in over there, it seemed suitable as I feel it would allow the best audience feedback.

COLOUR As this is a relatively important factor to the impact and visual aspects of the title sequence & idents. I wanted to incorporate similar colour schemes that reflect the identity of Munnyworld, through it’s packaging in particular.

Alongside this, I wanted to rely on the use of one colour, and use reversed out whoite to allow simplicity of the vinyl toy design.

KEY FRAMES

BUB Ident - Screen shots from a 10 second ident at 1 second intervals, allowing to see a clear visual sequence of the motion.

MUNNY Ident - Screen shots from a 10 second ident at 1 second intervals, allowing to see a clear visual sequence of the motion. Similar to the rest, slight changes of colour.

ROTATION (Test) Sequence - Screen shots from a 21 second test sequence at 1 second intervals. This mainly shows the transitioning between each composition, from a fixed anchor point. By parenting a number of the selected 10 second Idents to particular composition. I can create a rotating system allowing a frequent flow. The idea is mainly based around the whole ‘Do it yourself’ company branding, as I did not want to create something too smooth. The fact you can clearly see the frame leave and enter, shows a subtle unfinished edge to the motion.

STORYBOARDS These are some of my more ambitious ideas for the title sequences and idents. Although looking back on them I can see there is potential outcomes within each set idea group. In order to develop a further understanding, I am going to develop some of these ideas. Particularly the rotation example, and the ‘E4’ idents.
