THE FIGURES OF MI TELEFÉRICO

Two years of an extremely rewarding job

STRIKING RESULTS A few weeks ago, Mi TelefĂŠrico, on behalf of all Bolivians, received an important international award in Curitiba, Brazil, the InovaCidade Award of Smart City Business America. As a company with barely two years of existence, it seems reasonable to take a closer look at the reasons that have earned our institutional performance international acclaim. We are extremely pleased to present the figures of Mi TelefĂŠrico, which reflect the results that have been achieved to date and their impact on our society. From different perspectives, we want to present to the general public facts and figures which we have found to be instructive and which we hope will provide an insight into the question raised above. The figures of Mi TelefĂŠrico enable us to measure the work we have done. In the first place, however, they reflect the impact we want to generate in our society by improving the quality of life, enhancing social inclusion, or contributing to public safety and modernization of our cities, to name but a few. While it is true that we progress, it is equally true that a lot remains to be done. We therefore express our commitment to continue our work and do our part to build the kind of society that each and all Bolivians deserve.

3 Protecting The Environment

Protecting The Environment Reducing emissions of pollutant gasses (2015) The operation of Mi TelefĂŠrico helps avoid the consumption of more than 3 million litres of fuel each year.

Source: EETC-MT

Consequently, the emission of more than 8,000 tons of pollutant CO2 is also avoided.

Mi TelefĂŠrico thus protects the environment and promotes the reduction of respiratory diseases.

Contributing To Energy Sovereignty Transporting more passengers with less energy

Our ropeway transport system is efficient: It will transport

3 passengers with just 1 kWh,

while a conventional means of transport, such as for example a minibus, requires 47 kWh to transport the same number of passengers and therefore has a higher energy consumption than Mi TelefĂŠrico.

This means that a cabin leaves the station every 12 seconds. The ropeway system is therefore the only transport system with a very short waiting time for the passenger, quite different to traditional transport systems where passengers often face average waiting times of 15 to 40 minutes.
