I am an Architect and Designer who firmly believes that collaborative environments is where a good and productive design in generated. My interest in Architecture is long standing, I believe that my education, experience and my well-rounded background in architecture along with my passion and perseverance will make me a successful architect. During my five years in Bachelors program, the emphasis of my study was to understand the fundamentals of designing – attributes, dominance, integrating indoor and outdoor spaces. I have evolved a clear understanding that how far architecture can successfully be applied to create a landmark, a master piece and space where people can appreciate the use of it. Additionally I was able to achieve knowledge in model making, product designing, stage and set designing, interior and landscape designing. After exploring different fields, I have discovered my interest in architecture of form and structure. Being a student of Masters at SCAD my vision towards design took a turn, my interest in BIM fascinated me towards advance parametric and generative modeling for building. I specialize in Electronic design, Specialties: BIM – Revit | Para Cloud Gem | Rhinoceros – Grasshopper | AutoCAD Energy Analysis – Green Building Studio | Ecotect | Vasari | Phoenics Basic 2D & 3D Software's – AutoCAD | Sketch Up Rendering and Presentation – Adobe Photoshop | Adobe Illustrator | Adobe InDesign | Microsoft Office Other – CNC Milling | Laser Cutting | Wood Working | MIG & TIG Welding I look forward for opportunity to speak with you. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me 201.456.1499 or e-mail me at mithila_cms@yahoo.com. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Design Process – A multifunctional consistent tower is developed using computational tools that will complement the structurally stable forms in the natural surrounding and at the same time transfer defuse light and wind inside the tower. The form of the tower was designed aerodynamically such that it would allow the wind to flow with maximum velocity from its center. It reduced the pressure created on the tower and increases the velocity of wind flowing in-between the structures. There are wind turbines in between the towers which converts the wind into mechanical energy. The fabrication consists of moveable panels with magnetic sensor points, which join the panel that controls the rotation with respect to the sun intensity and motion. This façade increases acoustic insulation and provides thermal insulation, ETFE (Ethylene Tetra Fluoro Ethylene) cushion panels avoids over heating inside the tower. This method helps in saving energy cost.

S e l f

About this Project The process of this thesis is to look at the biological form and design a tower by exploring its natural habitat and structural system. The main issue is to study the form and transformation of the tower and optimize it with respect to wind and solar energy effects on the building.

RHINO – GRASSHOPPER as a digital simulation to design HEXAGON pattern Hexagon is known for its stability as it has equal angles, sides and diagonals. Hexagon is the main structure the cladding should also be hexagon, to balance the geometry and also to make the connection easy between them. Here the cladding acts as a surface screen protecting the sunlight entering the building. This screen should open whenever required, but with its scale equally proportional to the human scale it is impossible to control the opening. PANEL OPENING MECHANISUM OPTION

About the Project – Studio Group Project (Urban Design) Encountering the urban position offers an introduction to urban design that emphasizes the development of conceptual planning which addresses the complexity and variety of hybrid traditional and contemporary cities. The studio approached the former “Hunter Army Field” site in Savannah as a collection of diverse urban conditions. My team worked on diverse system such as retail, transportation, residential, commercial and public space to propose recombinant of architecture and generative urbanity. The complex dynamics of these pan-urban conditions required us to develop a specific urban position – treating urban design as spatially extensive urban design program as operationally integrated system as well as urban conditions as historically contingent of the larger context of the City of Savannah and the region.

Income

• Proposed design is housing for MIG (Middle Income Group) people. • Roads are on the periphery so that the area covered under is less. • The buildings are lifted 1.3m from ground level because of the basement below which acts as a podium level. • The Amenity space and Club house is located at the center of the site so it is easily accessible for the row house owner as well as the flat owner. • The row houses are located at the edges distributed into equal number, the cluster has its own private frontages garden, with Kund type sitting and paving with grass sitting • The buildings had a different identity , they were different types of building designed.

It is adjoining the New NH4 Highway. The requirement was to construct a simple economical restaurant at the Highway for travelers. Making it look unique was the basic idea. Thought of economy was utmost - arches, expose brickwork, ISP (Indian Patent Stone) floor, sloping roof couldn't find anything more economically suitable and last longing in Indian climate, with heavy rainfall area. This restaurant is few kms the before ‘Abhiruchi’ for travelers of Highway. Here, the design was differentiated with materials, local ‘Jambha Stone’ from Mahableshwar was used in combination with brick. Sloping roof was designed due to heavy rainfall. Location – Surur Highway Built-up Area – 11700 sq.ft Project Cost – Rs. 5,00,000 (9500$) About the Project – Restaurant design, same location a few kms after Abhiruchi. This was interesting design, since client requirement was a form oriented design. Anything that is visible from highway to attract the people travelling on highways was the clients thought. Sloping roof is a necessary requirement due to heavy rains. So a Pyramid form was suitable for such a climate. Tapering point on the top, visible from far due to its height, the client couldn’t be more convinced. Pyramid form was visible from a long distance but as we go near it to make it interesting, feature walls were painted in basic color to make it attractive. Open from all the sides, natural light entering made the color ambience more energetic and fresh. Responsibility – Working Drawings, Site Inspection

Thus it was a challenge to construct on such situation. Only possibility for and interesting design was to play with boxes to make a variation and change the streetscape. Shops below and permit room above was the requirement, thus it was easy playing with geometry and making a exiting and bold structure. Its was a successful design. About the Project – This site is located before the city of Karad, with ‘Krishna’ river flowing by its side. The requirement was to build a 30 room hotel with maximum VIP rooms. Client is a politician hence requirement was to have maximum VIP room with different areas for his visitors. With such a beautiful site with river adjoining all the room windows and balcony opened towards the river. Entrance was lifted above so the grandness in entrance was seen, as the site is very sleek and small. Below the ramp separate entrance was given for there political meeting, so the Hotel was completely separated from there daily business hours. As the location is on highways restaurant was shifted to lower ground floor, so the hotel would be separated from the daily rush. Private Party lawn was also provided at the top. Recently the project has been sanctioned and is in process of construction. Responsibility – Design team, 3D modeling, Presentation Drawings, Services Drawing.
