Augustine’s venture, MicroLife, develops and manufactures probiotic products that are non-dairy and non-fermented with no refrigeration requirement to improve their general health and wellness of consumers. This solution is important for developing countries that have limited cold storage infrastructure and will lower distribution costs. He earned an undergraduate degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from MIT in 2016 and is a current PhD candidate in Civil Engineering.

Ezinne’s venture, Terraformers, aims to grow fresh food everywhere. People want to be healthier. Others are just hungry and need to be fed. She believes most people have the space, desire and resources to eat more nutritious food at low cost through productive and networked backyard gardening. Ezinne is a seasoned NASA engineer, who has contributed to over six large spacecraft missions and last served as the Chief of the Small Spacecraft Mission Design Division.

Hem belongs to an indigenous community called Tharu who has been living in Southern plain of Nepal where agriculture has been the main occupation. Growing up in Nepal, Hem worked with his father planting and selling vegetables and understands how farmers in Nepal think and the problems they face. Hem’s venture, Awasar, is developing an ecosystem of infrastructure that will assist farmers in Nepal to capture maximum value.
