Chris’s venture, Nous, provides financial access to the approximately 300 million unbanked Latin Americans through a blockchain-based mobile banking platform. Chris became passionate about financial inclusion while living in Panama City, Panama, where he met migrant workers who had mobile phones, but lacked access to financial services and believes that capital formation is the most important component necessary to pull nations out of poverty.

Kloe’s venture, Out of the Box (OOTB), is a mobile, modular classroom-in-a-box that opens to create different learning environments, enabling quality preschool learning to take place anywhere. OOTB combines her experience in the built environment and passion for education to solve a perennial problem in developing countries such as Cambodia, where lack of infrastructure and quality learning materials impedes young children’s education.

Lily’s venture, Mixtape, allows users to browse search engines using visuals and icons as search terms. Her venture brings intuitive search for online content for internet users of all digital skills. Lily previously worked in product strategy and development at Google X and Facebook, and also spent 4 years living in China, working with the foreign policy think tank, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Quadri’s venture, Novustack, identifies and trains aspiring African entrepreneurs and then provides them the opportunity to work at a startup with continuous support. His mission is to create the next generation of African innovators while supporting existing innovators, strengthening the whole innovation ecosystem. Quadri brings local knowledge as he was born and raised in Nigeria. Previously a Management & Technology consultant at Deloitte, an Electrical Engineering Master’s graduate, and an entrepreneur, he knows the importance of ecosystem building for entrepreneurship.

Okky’s venture, DapatKerja, is a job-matching platform connecting blue-collar workers in Indonesia with job opportunities. The venture helps small medium businesses(SMB) owners source and screen qualified candidates so they can focus on their core businesses. Prior to MIT, Okky worked as a product manager at Traveloka, a unicorn travel tech startup in Southeast Asia, managing the development of a B2B product to facilitate Traveloka’s expansion to countries outside the Southeast Asia.
