Press Release 09/2006 Audience: Economy / IT / CeBIT 2006

CeBIT 2006: Synerva Starts Advanced Competence Center for InterSystems Technology Consulting Specialist for Integration and Application Development Reduces Risks and Ensures Transfer of Know-How Hanover, March 9, 2006 – At CeBIT 2006 (hall 3, booth C20), the IT consultancy SYNERVA, located in Frankfurt, Germany, presents its new service offerings for InterSystems products. The advanced Competence Center launched at CeBIT covers both the Caché post-relational database, and the Ensemble universal integration platform. The new program focuses on a risk-free project approach, building extensive know-how at the client, and the planning and development of aviation-certified software with high security requirements. SYNERVA, an application and implementation partner of InterSystems for many years, has carried out numerous successful client projects based on Caché and Ensemble in the last years. The IT service provider, specialized in service-oriented architectures (SOA) and the development of complex applications, has implemented comprehensive integration solutions based on InterSystems products, among others for Koenig & Bauer AG, a worldwide leading manufacturer of printing systems, the global building company Hochtief, and for various operating units of the software and systems house SHD Datentechnik. At CeBIT 2006, SYNERVA presents some real firsts: applications created in an aviation-certified software development project (according to DO178B and DO-200A) with high security requirements which are used by various commercial airlines in different types of airplanes. „Last years projects have definitely proven to us that for many clients a decision for Java becomes more and more difficult“, states Dr. Christian Och, CEO of SYNERVA GmbH. „The possibility to run applications optionally on Java or .NET becomes more and more important to us. And some of our largest projects in the last 12 month even were pure .NET Contact: in-house Agentur +49-1801-585 585 6734

Press Release 09/2006 Audience: Economy / IT / CeBIT 2006 projects. We have incorporated our experience from these projects in our new Competence Center with comprehensive consulting services, independence of object frameworks and other architectural paradigms.“ SYNERVA breaks a new ground not only when selecting a technology, but also in planning a complex software project, which is also often associated with high investments. „We are committed that no client has to make any decisions because of vague promises“, Och explains the concept. „Basically we start a manageable pilot which leads to a traceable calculation of the total expenditure.“ In addition as the benefit becomes transparent to the client, the pilot is a risk-free foundation for the client order later. „When we get the award, the client knows how much he is paying, and what he gets for his money“, summarizes Och this concept which is untypical for the consulting sector. SYNERVA consultants are also unique in a different characteristic: Special attention is paid to the fact that in software projects sufficient know-how will be transferred to the client. „Because after completing the project our clients shall be able to use the solution without the help of our consultants“, states Och.
