ABOUT ME
From visiting my father on job sites, sketching homes in the hallways at elementary school, to rearranging my room every opportunity I could, my passion and love for design goes back as far as my memory allows. Originally from Springfield, Missouri, I took the leap and moved to a small town in Pittsburg, Kansas to receive my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, minor in Construction Technology, and emphasis in Graphic Design.
While in school, I had the pleasure of receiving two internships to gain my knowledge in different areas of design. First, I relocated to Oklahoma, to work with Scott Rice, where they specialize in office systems. My last internship, I relocated to the Florida Peninsula, to work for Lovelace Interiors, a high-end residential firm. During my final internship, I may not have learned what area of design I wanted to be in, but I knew my love for Florida, and it was the state I wanted to be in.
While focusing on my academics throughout college, my plan was to take a break after college to enjoy my final summer of freedom, but that quickly changed when a former alumni posted a job located in Naples, Florida. I swiftly applied and confirmed a position with Design West, where I packed up my U-Haul and set sail to my new home.
After two years in Residential Design, I knew it was time to look at other opportunities in the area. I wanted something to challenge me creatively, expand my urge to travel and see new places, and continue my passion of designing in the process, I received a message from CID Design Group for an open design position. A firm specializing in Multi-Family design, an area of design I never learned about, piqued my interest and I am currently going on year 4 with CID. I have gained an intense amount of knowledge and have grown tremendously as a designer and a person.
For my future, I am always looking to learn and gain additional experience in different ways, as a leader, new field of design, a past design field, or a new location. I am eager to plant my roots and grow into the best designer, person, mother, and partner I can be.
