September 2010 September is almost here, which means those of us with school-aged children are once again looking forward to the arrival of that big yellow bus! In addition to the new 2011 art calendars, I’ve also been busy creating new pendant designs, the first of which you can find here:

I’m busy finalizing my fall calender of events, but you certainly don’t have to wait for an event or show to see new work or to chat with me: I regularly post new work on my website and I always love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me with questions or custom requests! Many people have asked me for advice regarding hanging and displaying artwork in their homes, so the next few months’ “Photo Tip” section will be devoted to this topic. Have a specific question you’d like me to address? Please drop me a line!

I’ll be making more pendants over the coming weeks, so be sure to check back soon.

Photo Tip: Turn off your flash! Try it, I promise you’ll like it... Whether shooting people, pets, or still-life, plenty of diffused, natural light is a wonderful way to go. If you’re shooting indoors, find a sunlit window; if outdoors, keep the sun to your back for plenty of natural illumination.

Wishing you all a happy month and upcoming holidays,

Michelle
