PHOTOGRAPHER MK: What inspires you to be a photographer? KS: What inspires me is to be able to travel and capture moments as well as learning from other creatives, to be able to share our stories MK: Tell us what defines you personally? KS: Very laid back, always try to give positive vibes. MK: What are some personal goals or challenges you have achieved? KS: Personal goals was to be able to quit my job in 2017 to become a full time photographer. MK: What makes you unique? (please be specific) KS: I believe it?s my editing style and I just get so excited while shooting. I always try to make everything I shoot with comfortable and feel free MK: Tell us about some memorable moments of your photography ambitions? KS: One of the memorable moments I have is a meet up I?ve thrown last year for Halloween and almost 30-40 people came and everyone created some really amazing stuff. MK: How is the fashion and modeling scene where you are from? KS: The Carolinas have really awesome talent and everyone is very unique in there own way. MK: What kind of feedback you are getting from fans? KS: People who support me always give great feedback, some say I?ve inspired them which is something that means the absolute most to me . MK: Tell us about your content you put out. What is the general goal there? KS: With my photos I want people to feel the vibe of a good time mostly, that?s why I focus so much on tones and certain poses. I?m hoping the audience can see that it?s very relaxed and fun creating with me. MK: Reflecting on your personal journey what advice would you give others struggling with getting into modeling or industry in general? KS: I?d say to just simply enjoy it because you truly love it and let that alone take you to wherever you wanna go, the love for your craft is important and also consistency. Experimenting will also help as well.
MK: Why did you agree to be featured in Mkovah Magazine? KS: I agreed because I love what Mkovah is growing in to. I would absolutely be honored to be apart of it not only the magazine itself but the journey. MK: Thank you for your time and interview KS: No problem, thank you so much!

JF: The amazing opportunities for acting, connecting, and giving me the ability to influence and impact lives in a positive way is what inspires me to be a model. MK: Tell us what defines you personally? JF: I?m just a really kind, and warm-hearted person that loves everybody and works hard to get the most out of life. MK: What are some personal goals or challenges you have achieved? JF: Some of my personal goals that I?ve recently reached are loving myself, embracing who I am, and being more comfortable in front of the camera. MK: What makes you unique? (please be specific) JF: Me wanting the best for other people and having the discipline to struggle myself so others will be okay is something that makes me unique. MK: Tell us about some memorable moments of your modeling ambitions? JF: My favorite moment of my modeling ambitions was when I had a photo shoot and I had way more good pictures versus bad pictures, it was evidence of me making progress. Another one of my favorite moments was when I got selected for my first and only paid modeling job to date. MK: How is the modeling and fashion scene where you are? JF: There are quite a few trade for portfolio opportunities where I am, but other than that there aren?t a lot of big modeling opportunities that I know of. MK: What cities or countries are you interested in exploring your craft? JF: I?m interested in traveling the world to expand myself, but I would love to go to New York for sure to get some work and anywhere that would be a good market for a black american in commercial print modeling. MK: Why did you agree to be in the Cover Model Tryouts? JF: To have the chance to be in front of professionals, get feedback, experience, and potentially get the opportunity to do bigger and better things. Kam r i Hick m an MK: What inspires you about being a model? KH:I am always inspired by modeling by the way it makes me feel. Modeling is truly an escape for me, whenever I shoot travel or do a job I feel blessed to be able to call this my career. MK: Tell us what defines you personally? KH : My personality is very silly and carefree I am always laughing or smiling or making others laugh with my silly activities. I love makes other smile and laugh...I would say my personality is contagious. MK: What are some personal goals or challenges you have achieved? KH : I achieved the goal of walking in NYFW IN 2018, That was a HUGE achievement for me simply because it has always been a goal of mine to be apart of such an iconic event. I am also booked to attend NYFW 2019 as well. MK: What makes you unique? (please be specific) KH : What makes me unique is the drive and ambition I have for everything I want in life. Whatever I set my mind to I always achieve it. MK: Tell us about some memorable moments of your modeling ambitions? KH : I was featured in 4 magazines in the year of 2018, My goal at the end of 2017 was to get published in some magazine. I set my goal and I always achieve them, so magazines were New York based and New York is now my second home so that means a lot to me to be exposed out in New York ?The fashion state?. MK: How is the modeling and fashion scene where you are? KH : The fashion scene in Dallas is great, we have so many talented creatives willing to help each other grow & prosper individually and as a brand. MK: What cities or countries are you interested in exploring your craft? KH : Paris, Cape Town, Florida, New York is some of the counties & states I would love to explore my craft. I would love to work in all of these beautiful places and learn their industry as well. MK: Why did you agree to be in the Cover Model Tryouts? KH : I am always challenging myself to go after things I am I aspire to see myself doing one day, If I visualise myself achieving a goal I always believe it can be achieved. KJ: Honestly modeling was always something I was interested in but it was never something I pursued because I?d thought that ?that can?t be me.? So now that I?ve taken that leap of faith and really started pursuing modeling what inspires me is that I can define my image . I can potentially be someone that makes a mark for girls like me.
MK: Tell us what defines your personally? KJ: I?d have to say my drive defines me because I?m aware of my weakness & I?m thankful for that because knowing those things about myself allows me to sharpen my strengths and my wisdom.
MK: How is the modeling and fashion scene where you are? KJ: Honestly I?m still new to the modeling scene but so far I can tell that it?s definitely not something for the lighthearted. Although there are many ventures one could take in the industry you really need to be focused; committed to manifesting your brand and be willing to start at the very bottom. MK: What cities or countries are you interested in exploring your craft? KJ: I would personally love to travel to New York or LA but I feel like those are two spots that every model or designer wants to go to. Honestly one of my goals is to make my name a statement I want to be know for my work all over not in just those hotspots. MK: Why did you agree to be in the Cover Model Tryouts? KJ: I agreed to he tryouts because I felt that if I can make the cover not only will that be a dream come true for me but it would also solidify that I can do this.

Lev M on ae MK: What inspires you about being a model? OW: What inspires me to be a model is vitiligo and my Grandmother. My grandmother is a seamstress which sparked my love for fashion and creativity at a young age. I was diagnosed with the skin disease Vitiligo when I was 9. At first I want to hide it. Vitiligo just made me realize I?m even more different and I appreciated that. It gave me confidence. MK: What are some personal goals or challenges you have achieved? OW: A personal challenge I have achieved is Self Worth. In all relationships in life and where I distribute my energy. When I was 18 and 19 years old, I had been in a domestic violence relationship. I had some friends that went so much friends. Involved in unfortunate situations. That could have turned fatal. The end lesson was all the same. Is this person worth it? ?No? Is this situation worth me? ?No? Some people don?t deserve your time. Let alone ?You? at all. MK: What makes you unique? OW: I have many talents and my love for life makes me unique. Life is a blessing in itself. An art. There are many aspects, so many things to gain knowledge about. The simple fact the we can walk and talk. The basic things about life influence me to me the best art that comes to mind. I love sewing,it's a good of therapy and self expression. I rap and sing the I write music. I draw. I also dance. I express myself free of judgement. MK: Tell us about some memorable moments of your modeling ambitions? OW: One of my most memorable moments of my modeling ambitions was realizing i could sew whatever comes to mind. Once I made my first outfit I wanted to show it off. Not by just wearing it but I wanted to model it. I wanted my nails to match my outfit. My hair and makeup had to match. Walk the catwalks and posing in front of art. Modeling captures all forms of creative expression. MK: How is the modeling and fashion scene where you are? OW: The modeling and fashion scene is Dayton,Oh and in my area we are in the emerging stage. As in Columbus,Ohio itself is ranked the third city in the country to have the best fashion designers. Ohio is a gold mine for talent especially in fashion.
