M K: Tell us about your start as a photographer? DC: I started photography when I purchased a 3DR solo drone. I started taking aerial skyline shots and just loved what I can turn an image into using simple edits. I got in touch again with a friend of many years named Jose (IG: @j.frvnco) who I did not know was a very skilled and popular street photographer. He convinced me to purchase a DSLR, and my technically inclined personality started to learn all aspects of photography. Months later I started going to photomeets here in the Los Angeles area and started meeting different models and content creators. Using photomeets as a primary way of networking I started shooting with local models and developed my craft further by learning controlled lighting. One year later I am shooting almost every weekend and loving every moment of it.
M K: What inspires you to shoot? DC: I get inspired by learning. I am completely fascinated by the endless amount of ways one can compose an image by playing with lights and shadows. Experimenting with lighting has really kept my interest in the industry and craft.
M K: What are some learning curves you are experiencing? DC: My biggest learning curve is trying to compose an image. What may seem nice in my head may not always translate correctly on the field. I am always trying to find a way to compose an image to keep a viewer engaged. Another learning curve is learning posing to properly direct a subject, the technical side of photography comes easy to me, the creative is something I am still developing to this day.

M K: What are your goals for your future in photography? DC: I enjoy photography a lot. I would love that one day my hobby can become my career and I can be my own boss without having to work a regular job to support myself financially.
M K: What feedback to the industry would you like to give? DC: Be patient, shoot a lot, and never settle into a set pattern. Try to learn as much as you can with the tools you may have available.
M K: What are some challenges you have overcome? DC: My biggest challenge has always been the creative side of photography. There are so many great photographers around, and on social media platforms pushing great content and very original ideas. It is hard to not see people?s work and inadvertently coming up with something similar. It is ok to draw inspiration from others, but one must always strive to perfect the artform and elevate it by adding our own flavor and style to it.
M K: Why did you decide to work with Mkovah Magazine? DC: I see great content coming from the magazine and would love to hopefully be a part of future works
M K: Thank you very much for your interview. DC: No, thank you for the opportunity to showcase my work. I appreciate the feedback and interest in my work.

Roy Ng M K: Tell us about your start as a photographer? PR: I originally started as a landscape photographer and gradually transitioned to street photography and now portrait art. The journey has been long but very rewarding. I do not see an end to this journey. M K: What inspires you to shoot? PR: Much of my inspiration comes from within. I shoot my emotional and personal experiences from my past and present. My feelings and perceptions of society fuels my art. To put it simply, I shoot my mindseye. M K: What are some learning curves you are experiencing? PR: The most dramatic learning curve I experienced was when I transitioned from Landscape to Portrait Photography. It was a very different way of using my camera and bending light. It was also an adjustment to work with models and provide direction while adjusting composition. It is just a very different way of creating art. M K: What are your goals for your future in photography? PR: I wish to continue to push the boundaries of my creative side while sharing my art with the world. I do not plan on ever stopping photography. M K: What feedback to the industry would you like to give? PR: I would tell artists to believe in themselves and to hustle. Do not stop learning and continue to chase their love and passion for art. M K: What are some challenges you have overcome? PR: One of the challenges I had to overcome was societies view on what is or is not art. Having the ability to create beauty and the freedom of expression and individualism. This should be celebrated, not hidden. Once I was able to accept and overcome this view, my art blossomed.

Rober t Pau ley III Being a startup business, Robert knew he needed great images to showcase his designs and decided to take up photography to showcase the WELTH? Top Coats the way he wanted them to be seen. This led to the creation of WELTH? Images Portraits. Clients began to book photo sessions with Robert and he would create portraits of them that would become their legacy. He wanted his portrait business to be a reflection of the WELTH? Guy and he began offering ?Celebrity-style?photoshoot experiences. He helps to style the clients, offers hair and makeup and complimentary champagne. After the shoot, client come back for an ?Image Reveal?and see their images presented in a distressed leather box, handmade in Italy. Prior to starting the WELTH? Guy LLC, Robert worked in finance for two of the top banks in the world. He uses the skills he?s acquired in the finance world to enhance his business. Robert holds a BA in History from Baruch College (City University of New York). Robert loves to travel and has been to over 25 countries and has lived in mainland China, Hong Kong and Spain. Robert believes that ?your style is your life? and the way you dress is a reflection of your life experiences.
