MEGEN GROSS comes to MLC from Watertown, WI. She is a 1991 graduate of Lakeside Lutheran High School. She will graduate from MLC having completed the Elementary Education program with a science concentrate. Her friendliness, creativity, and love of nature are evident in all she does. While at MLC Megen's been an active member of the cross country team and College Chorale. During the summer Megen has enjoyed working for the Bethesda Home of Watertown as a nurse's assistant and camp counselor. She is very excited about continuing her service for the Lord as a teacher.

CARRIE lln.LMANN comes to us from Hilbert, WI where she attended Manitowoc Lutheran High School. After 1 1/2 years at UW-Stout, she transferred to DMLC as a Sophomore. Carrie has been active in her years here with Children's Theatre, women's softball, and Intramurals both as Intramural Board V.P. and as a team member. She has also been helpful to all with her work in the campus library. Carrie is hoping to teach primary and would be happy to serve the Lord wherever he sends her.

NATHAN HINZ "Hinzer" fits

the bill of a typical sports fanatic. Nate, a P.E. major, played football at DMLC for three years and tried tennis for one. He has also enjoyed the opportunity to coach boys basketball at St. Paul's school for the past two years. When Nate is not watching, coaching, or playing a variety of sports he can be found in Lacrosse with his fiance, Ginger Long, with whom he is planning a June 8, 1996, wedding. When asked about teaching Nate replied, "I consider it a privilege ... [to] touch young kids' lives in and out of the classroom. I find it quite rewarding."

PAUL HOFFMAN is from

Chandler, Arizona. He has been living in New Ulm for the past 2 1/2 years with his wife Laurie and son Brandon. Most people might know Paul by his height, "Suns" jacket or by his friendly face from the one and onlyHyVee.

BRE'IT KRIESE was awarded the nickname, "Dr. Kriese" after demonstrating his superior knowledge in the field of history. It has been said that he will be "the next Hartwig." Do not be mislead, however. Brett does not spend all of his spare time reading The Past Speaks for Itself. You may discover him pumping iron in the weight room, listening to the Beatles, or "bouncing" at the Holiday Inn. Brett has decided to pursue his state teaching certificate at WLC during the second semester.

JENNIFER LETzous

is extremely proud to have been born and raised in Beaverton, Michigan. Set on becoming a teacher from the age of four, Jenny knew MLS was the place for her in fourth grade when the Concert Choir sang at her church. Her parents finally consented, and Jen brought unending school spirit and bad jokes to Saginaw. In 1992 Jen followed her dream to DMLC where her friendliness and ability to laugh at herself won her many friends. Colorguard and the yearbook filled her spare moments as she attempted to steer clear of "relationships" with future pastors. Daniel Simms, a vicar in Falls Church, Virginia, will become Jennifer's husband on August 24, 1996. Until then, and during Dan's final year at the Seminary, Jenny hopes to teach in the Mequon area.

JANELLE NORDER was

born in Laingsburg, MI. Most people remember her as the girl with the eternal broken leg. Well, it healed. She is very grateful for all the blessings she has received-here in MN, but in all honesty, she hates this state. In fact, the only state she even acknowledge's is Michigan and sometimes Montana. Her best friend is Gena, when and if she gets married, she is planning on naming all her kids Gena. She can not wait to get into teaching and apply what she has learned here at MLC.

is from Reedsburg, WI. She joined us after spending the first year and a half of her college life at UW-Madison in order to study elementary education. Most of us know Jen as just "Pacl" (and for those of you who don't speak fluent Czechoslovakian, it's pronounced Potzel not Packel). She's known most widely for her closet that "keeps on giving and you probably consider yourself a rare individual if you've seen her wear the same outfit twice." If you're not into fashion, Pacl has also become the legend of writing "A" papers in less than an hour. On December 30th, Paci will become Jen Ziemer when she marries Timothy from Minneapolis. We wish Jen the Lord's blessings in her marriage and in the teaching ministry.

JEN PACL

e,.

otherwise known as Pappy, is quite a remarkable woman. She came here second semester of freshman year and is graduating mid-year of her senior year. Her interests include exploring children's literature, reading, crocheting, and of course, teaching. Jenny is originally from Winona, MN. She is getting married to·Joseph Garetto on June 22, and they are planning to live in the Twin Cities area.

JENNIFER PAPENFUSS,

ANNA POTl'ER may not have seen the inside of the Music Center in the last two or three years, but she is no stranger to the gymnasium. As a P.E. major, Anna has been involved with the women's basketball program for a number of years both as a manager and a student assistant coach. This fall she also helped coach J.V. volleyball at MVL. Anna, perhaps better known as "Munch," does the best Miss Haar impersonation Tutor Z. has ever heard. Anna is firm in standing up for what she believes in, especially her home state, Michigan. Presently, she is eagerly awaiting assignment into the teaching ministry.

STEVEN "Rico" SYLVESTER comes to us from the Caribbean Islands. He reflects his faith in his Savior through his words and actions and is easy to become friends with. He and his wife Michelle have worked hard to get where they are today and are excitedly waiting to see what the Lord has planned for them. One of Steven's interests, stemming from his sense of humor, is listening to good jokes.
