Do you want a life with extraordinary meaning and purpose? Then we want to meet you!
At Martin Luther College, we’re looking for exceptional students to fulfill an extraordinary mission: sharing the love of our Savior with the world.
We’re looking for students who’ll say, “Here am I! Send me!”
We understand if you don’t know what to do yet. That’s just fine. At MLC, you’ll work with expert faculty to define your ministry pathway, develop the gifts God gave you, and maybe discover some extra ones you didn’t know you had. At MLC, you’ll pursue excellence—in academics, in athletics and the arts, in leadership and service.
And when you graduate, you can be called to an extraordinary vocation—sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ as a pastor, missionary, staff minister, or teacher.
Please contact us if you’d like to visit campus or talk to an admissions counselor, professor, or coach. And know that even if we haven’t met you yet, we’re praying for you. It’s true. We’re fulfilling an extraordinary mission at Martin Luther College, so we need exceptional students—like you.
In Jesus’ name,
Theodore Klug MLC Vice President for Enrollment Management

I wanted to become someone who would try and help the next generation. In a predominantly German denomination, black leadership is minimal. So I decided to become a pastor to change the narrative. Plus, what’s better than working for Jesus every day?

Teaching isn’t only about knowledge. It’s about the influence you have on your students to bring them closer to God. I love meeting people and forming connections with them, and I hope to bring this positivity to my future classroom someday.

Staff ministers are pastoral assistants who do a lot of work pastors do, but they are not trained preachers.
• Youth and family ministry
• Evangelism & assimilation
• Parish education
• Member care
What drew me to staff ministry is that there are so many areas. You can do youth ministry, technology, music—staff ministry allows you to try a little bit of everything.

Give MLC a try! The best piece of advice I could offer is to give MLC a try. Is MLC the right college for everyone? No. Are there any disadvantages that could come from trying it out? Also no. Even though you might learn that public ministry isn’t for you, you’ll still be encouraged to serve God’s kingdom in whatever you do! We’d love to have you on campus with us!
