Letter from the Mayor I’ve heard it said that our young people are our future. I disagree with that -- I believe that our young people are also our present, too. That’s why at City government, we’re not waiting around to engage with you once you get older. We believe that it’s our responsibility to connect you with all the opportunity that our city offers today, and that includes everything the City and community partners are doing this summer. From our swimming pools to our parks, and from all of the free and reduced-cost experiences offered at partners throughout the city, there’s plenty to do in Memphis this summer. So we’ve published this guide so you don’t have to look far. Keep it handy this summer, and you’ll always have a clue about what to do. Yours, Mayor Jim Strickland

We love free! Discover the many free amenities that Memphis has to oer.

Foot Golf - Links at Riverside FootGolfers of all ages are becoming more and more active at Riverside. FootGolf is played with a soccer ball and your foot rather than a club.

The hole is 21 inches as opposed to 4 ¼ inches for regular golf. All the

normal rules of golf are used except in FootGolf the old “Foot Wedge” is perfectly legal. The Riverside Golf shop has soccer balls for rent or sale. The green fee is $7.00 but is complementary for youth 17 and under.
