THANK YOU FROM OUR ADOPTERS
THANK YOU Dear Christy Williams, In our February 2015 Elephant update, we asked our adopters to send their messages of support to you. We were inundated with heartfelt letters and emails from all ages, and we wanted to share some with you. They show how much our adopters value the work you do, and how important the content support you give us really is! We hope you enjoy reading them. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to send me regular field reports. I always enjoy reading them, and can’t wait to share your stories and images with adopters. Thank you! Liz Palmer, Programmes Information Officer Thank you to your team and all of the rangers who dedicate their lives to protecting elephants. With each update on Kiruba,
I AM CONTINUALLY IMPRESSED BY YOUR CREATIVITY AND INNOVATIVE METHODS. From encouraging
local people to keep bees to planting mint, chamomile, and chilli around crops as a deterrent - it’s ingenious. Thank you - keep up the great work.
Matthew
I am so glad that I decided to donate to support the conservation of elephants and their habitats. Reading the regular newsletters gives me a WONDERFUL INSIGHT into the hard work you do, and I hope that even my small amount can help make your work easier and give elephants the life they deserve. THANK YOU FOR THE
WONDERFUL THINGS YOU DO EVERY DAY TO SUPPORT THESE MAGNIFICENT CREATURES.
Jessica
I think what you are doing is amazing and I think that you are so brave. It’s easy to say ‘I’m going to stop deforestation’, but you’re actually doing it. Kiruba owes you so much and YOU ARE TOTALLY MY IDOLS. I am doing a speech about elephants at school because you’ve given me so much info in my adoption updates!
Eloise
THANK YOU I just wanted to say thank you for all the amazing work WWF, Christy and the field team do. You are all such inspirational and wonderful people. Thank you again.
Rachel It’s easy to feel powerless when you’re sitting at home on your sofa, reading news stories about animals being mistreated or killed inhumanely for an unworthy cause. I truly believe that what you do every day to protect the animals of our planet is phenomenal and, because of people like you, I feel a little more powerful. Receiving information about these elephants, some of the most sensitive, kind, and intelligent animals on earth, is a privilege and you should be so proud of what you do – they are free because of your care and dedication.
Laura My thanks to all the rangers at Corbett National Park who work with such dedication the whole year round to protect these magnificent and valuable animals. Your efforts to ensure that humans and wildlife live happily side by side are inventive and progressive, minimising the conflict that can lead to tragic and unnecessary outcomes. Keep on keeping the elephants safe!
June Well done for all your hard work. Thank you for helping look after the elephants. I like getting your updates; I can’t wait for another one.
Jessica, age 6½ Thank you very much for all your hard work and bravery every day, and thank you for having the courage to do something about helping the wildlife we all want to protect. My son Paddy is growing up learning to respect and protect all the animals with which he shares the planet, thanks to this adoption.
Paddy and Cathleen I am SO impressed with all the work you do to help elephants, and especially my adopted elephant, Kiruba. Keep up the excellent work supporting these amazing creatures!
Louise Thank you so much for looking after my adopted elephant, Kiruba. Elephants are my favourite animals and reading updates and seeing how well your team are makes me very happy! I’ll support WWF all the way!
Ellie
Just wanted to say what a fantastic job you do and thank you for the updates about my elephant, Kiruba, and her family. Please keep going with the amazing work that you do. Thank you.
Karen Thank you so much for all the amazing work you do. I’ve always loved elephants and I think some of the ideas you and WWF come up with are incredible and help everyone. I hope one day I can come out and see the amazing work for myself!! Please keep up the amazing work and remember just what an amazing change you’re making!! THANK YOU.
Amy Thank you so very much for taking care of my elephant, Kiruba. She has been my adopted elephant for a number of years and I love receiving updates on the progress she has made thanks to your dedication!!! I respect what you do and admire you.
Luigi Thank you so much for informing me about my elephant, Kiruba. At school we are learning about rainforests. Last week, we learnt about deforestation and how essential it is for the planet that rainforests are not destroyed. I cannot wait for my next update!
Maya THANK YOU for being people who take action on what they truly care about and for not allowing life’s obstacles to prevent you from fulfilling your selfless goals of caring for these elephants and creating a better world for them. Please continue to make it happen for them, I am in full support!
Jade I would like to thank the rangers who risk their lives daily to protect elephants from poachers and danger. It is my belief that without these tireless and brave people, elephants would become endangered and, eventually, extinct. A huge thank you to Christy and the field team.
Sandra
You help bring WWF’s work to life so that people keep supporting us. Our adopters love reading your reports and seeing your photographs, so thank you!
