PROGRAM: Getting Ready for the 1989 Field Season SPEAKER: John Moriarty John Moriarty of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Non-game Wildlife Program will talk about the DNR herp proj ects planned for this year. Some of the projects include Cricket frogs, Massasaugas, skinks, Snapping turtles, and Blanding's turtles. Methods for locating and studying these species will be explained. John will also discuss the state laws effecting the collecting of herps and places where herps can be found. MHS members are wanted to help collect information for the Minnesota DNR and the Wisconsin Herp Atlas. Details on how to help will be covered in John's talk. CRI'ITER OF THE MJNTH: Minnesota herps or herps you collected yourself, or better yet, a Minnesota herp you collected yourself.
