Visit our new online outage information center

Did you know you can now check the status of power outages online from your charged laptop or from your computer at work or home? Our new online Outage Information Center allows you to: 1. Report an outage by going to www.mnpower.com and clicking on the outage icon, or by calling 1-800-30-POWER (1-800-307-6937). 2. View current power outages in our service territory by clicking on the outage map. If your electricity is out, please contact us immediately. The more reports we receive, the more accurately we can determine the extent of the outage and its cause.

Minnesota Power continues to be a proud supporter of higher education throughout the region. Examples of our involvement include two new programs: a wind technician program at Mesabi Range Technical College in Virginia and Eveleth (see photo) as well as the new power plant technician program at Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids. Through our participation in classrooms and on-site training, we are helping to better prepare students for a career in the energy field ... right here in northern Minnesota. Wind technician students and instructors toured our Taconite Ridge Wind Energy Center near Mountain Iron, Minn. as part of their coursework.
