APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID In order to maximize your financial aid opportunities and find out what type of awards you qualify for, keep these steps in mind: 1 / APPLY FOR ADMISSION TO MNU Complete your MNU Application for Admission as soon as possible. Both federal and state financial assistance require that you be accepted at MNU before we can finalize your financial aid. You can apply at MNU.edu/apply. 2 / CREATE FSA ID Each student must create an FSA ID--a username and password--at fafsa.gov to sign the FAFSA electronically. If the student is dependent, at least one parent must create an FSA ID also. Your FSA ID identifies you as someone who has the right to access your personal information on federal student aid websites. 3 / FILL OUT THE FAFSA Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA ) at fafsa.gov. You can start filling it out beginning October 1, 2018, for the 2019-20 school year. Use your 2017 tax information and send your FAFSA to MNU by entering school code 007032. Contact the Student Financial Aid Services Office if you have questions. > PRIOR YEAR TAXES: You will enter prior year tax information on the FAFSA. So, for the 2019-20 FAFSA, use your 2018 tax return. You can transfer tax information directly from the IRS into your FASFA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.
