ARCHITECTURE,

founded

in 1981, was created with the idea that excellent design should

be complemented by equally strong technical execution and project delivery. Over thirty years later, MOA is synonymous with well-designed projects that are responsive to programs and sensitive to budget constraints. Today, with offices in Denver, Colorado and Casper, Wyoming, MOA’s expertise includes planning and design for commercial office, mixed-use and retail, healthcare, educational, and industrial projects. We have designed more than 24 million square feet of facilities at a total construction cost in excess of $1.6 billion.

esigned around the theme of Community, the new DaVita World Headquarters is a unique workplace environment where DaVita “Teammates” work in neighborhoods designed to promote the DaVita culture. A major organizing element of the building is the sustainable, life giving connection of earth and sky, and the sustainable connection between DaVita’s cultural expression and all DaVita teammates. Interior seasonal multi-story gardens create a vertical connection through the building. DaVita teammates receive sustaining daylight and maintain a visual and emotional connection with all Teammates even though separated by multiple floors. The DaVita Headquarters is LEED Gold Certified, in recognition of their commitment to sustainability. The DaVita World Headquarters is located along the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver. It’s relationship to the striking Millennium Bridge creates a major focal point on the Denver skyline.

ooper Lighting presented a design challenge to MOA: transform a high-bay warehouse building into a state-of-the-art divisional corporate headquarters building with product showrooms, collaboration spaces, and flexible office solutions, along with full manufacturing facilities, all on a very tight occupancy schedule. The result was a LEED certified facility with carefully integrated spaces that not only improve occupant efficiency but also enhance on-site marketing opportunities in providing an effective environment to highlight over 100 different LED lighting fixture types manufactured by Cooper. Interior spaces feature day-lit two-story volumes to enhance the collaboration between design and marketing departments on different floors. Phased bid packages allowed for early procurement of long-lead items and an on-time commencement of construction activities.
