founded in 1981, with the idea that excellent design skills

should be complemented by equally strong technical execution and project delivery. Nearly thirty years later, MOA is synonymous with well-designed projects that are responsive to programs and sensitive to budget constraints. With offices in Casper, Wyoming and Denver, Colorado, we have 30 employees – including 20 licensed architects and 20 LEED APs. MOA’s expertise includes planning and design for Senior Living, healthcare, education, office, mixed-use and retail, and industrial projects. We’ve successfully completed more than 23 million cumulative square feet of facilities at a total construction cost of more than $1.5 billion.

LINCOLN MEADOWS SENIOR LIVING Parker, Colorado

T

his mixed service facility in the southern suburbs of Denver features beautiful, unique spaces, mountainous views and tranquil gardens. The building is divided into three communities; Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), & Memory Care. Each community has large gathering / sitting areas. In addition the IL and AL parts of the building offer a theater, coffee shop, and a library with computer terminals. The IL portion of the building also has an exercise room managed by a physical therapy staff, a beauty salon, a green house, a craft room, and a large multi-purpose kitchen. Several types of living suites are available in the IL & AL sections. They range from a studio unit of 400 square feet to 2 bedroom and 2 bath units of 900 square feet. The site offers a nice walking path as well as courtyards which offer shaded and quiet outdoor dining. 134 Independent Living Units 60 Assisted Living Units 16 Memory Care Unit

PARK MEADOWS SENIOR HOUSING O verland Park , K ansas

T

his continuing care retirement community has many features to aid its senior residents. The community center is centrally sited to minimize walking distances and enhance access from apartments and cottages. Several types of living units are offered, all with options and an emphasis on wellness and fitness. In addition, residents can enjoy Park Meadows’ variety of gathering spaces: family rooms and intimate dining rooms; a theater; a library with computer workstations, electronic media and internet access; game rooms; and an exercise area. The exterior landscape is arranged to encourage outdoor activities, walking and gardening. 12 independent duplex cottages 134 independent apartment units 80 assisted living units 24 memory care units.

THE INN AT LAKEWOOD Lakewood, Colorado

D

esigned as the first of several planned facilities, this complex provides housing for 71 independent living, 47 assisted living, and 19 dementia residents. Residents of private quarters share amenities including dining rooms, living room, library, pool room, general store, theater, arts and crafts area, beauty/barber shop, and outdoor garden.

GRAND MAYFAIR SENIOR COMMUNITY Denver, Colorado

L

ocated in the older established east Denver neighborhood of Mayfair, this senior living community is developed on a unique urban infill site. The facility will contain both Independent and Assisted living units with a number of amenities, such as, underground parking, public and private dining rooms, terrace cafe, coffee bistro, entertainment rooms, indoor swimming pool and full administrative support areas. The theme of the development is being designed to present the feel and appearance of an elegant hotel with timeless architecture. Its front entry design takes advantage of the activity of a main east west through affair in order to give it a presence on the street and allow the occupants to be close to the active neighborhood. There will be a number of unit types ranging from Studio to 1 and 2 bedrooms that responds to the desire to provide a choice and variety to the occupants. The site and surrounding landscaping is being designed to encourage outdoor activities in secluded garden areas.

T

he exterior of this independent living facility was designed to fit within its cultural context. About one mile or so from Missouri’s own Grant’s Farm and the Budweiser estate the building was designed with a German Architectural influence, with steeper roofs, expressed column brackets, and Dutch gable roof decorations. The features include: a theater, coffee shop, and a library with computer terminals. In addition, it has an exercise room - managed by a physical therapy staff, a green house, craft room, beauty salon, and a large multipurpose kitchen for use by the residents. 132 Independent Living Units

CHEYENNE RIVER SIOUX TRIBE ELDERLY VILLAGE Eagle Butte, South Dakota

S

erving the elders of the Cheyenne River Sioux Indian Community in Eagle Butte, South Dakota, this skilled nursing and assisted living facility provides a core space for 60 beds, with the planned ability to add another 60 beds. The core spaces will include: admissions and orientation, health care, food service, visitation, programs and services, facility support, and facility administration. The exterior courtyard circle is completed and enhanced by hardscape and landscape elements to conceptually introduce the medicine wheel – symbol of all creation and the cycles of life. Connecting sky to earth, raised lanterns located on the main circulation corridor bring daylight deep within the facility.

EVERGREEN SENIOR LIVING Evergreen, Colorado

N

estled in the mountain community of Evergreen, this facility was planned for 53 units of assisted and independent living. The Dining Room is the primary focal point of the design, presenting a 270 degree panoramic mountain view. Additionally, the common areas, comprised of a salon, library, private dining, and exercise area, take advantage of the vistas into the neighboring meadow and forest.

MASTERPLAN CONCEPT


THE VALLEY HOUSE Castle Rock, Colorado

T

his 22 resident assisted living facility is located adjacent an open space park in a small rural community near Denver. This 12,000 sq. ft. facility was designed as a prototype for a non-profit owner with intentions of building this facility to meet the needs of the low to moderate income elderly in smaller, rural communities. SHAWNEE SENIOR LIVING Shawnee, Kansas

L

ocated in the western suburbs of Kansas City this independent living facility has beautifully decorated rooms with abundant seating, a theater, coffee shop, and a library. In addition, it has an exercise room - managed by a physical therapy staff, a green house, beauty salon, craft room, and a large multi-purpose kitchen for use by the residents and their guests. The living suites range from studio units to two bedroom and two bath living quarters. The rooms are uniquely adjusted to meet the needs of that particular community. Set in the rolling farmland of Kansas the design features a prairie style with lower sloped roofs, expressed column brackets, and arched gable roof decorations. The landscaping offers a nice walking path around the entire facility and a courtyard affords shaded and quiet outdoor dining. 124 Independent Living Units

DAVIES FARM RETIREMENT COMMUNITY N e w Yo r k , N e w Yo r k

L

ocated on a heavily wooded parcel of land approximately 30 minutes north of New York City, the Davies Farm Retirement Community is designed as a continuum of care campus including 154 units of assisted living and 150 units of independent senior living. Also included in the project are the renovation of an existing restaurant and retail building which will provide valuable services to the retirement community at Davies Farm. The buildings will also provide community dining and activity spaces, library, living room, and wellness facilities, and will be surrounded by generous natural vegetation and open spaces for additional activities and walking paths.
