Master of Science in Nursing FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER Play a bigger role on the health and well-being of patients with MBU’s MSN Family Nurse Practitioner degree. Our online FNP program is designed to provide a flexible path to expanding your practice in as little as 2 years – even as you work full time. The MSN Family Nurse Practitioner prepares graduates for the FNP National Certification examinations.

WHAT IS A FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER? Family Nurse Practitioners play a critical role in healthcare teams. FNPs work primarily in out-patient practices, treating patients with commonly occurring illnesses and injuries. In family practice, internal medicine and pediatric practices, FNPs perform primary and secondary care with an emphasis on patient follow up.

The MSN Nurse Educator track prepares graduates for the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) national exam.

WHAT IS A NURSE LEADER? Nurse leaders play an important role in healthcare facilities, with their reach extending to a vast array of executive-level tasks. As a nurse leader, you would manage staff in a department or hospital, and complete administrative tasks such as performance reviews, attend meetings, and develop training and personnel procedures.

STEP ONE: Complete the free online application at apply.mobap.edu STEP TWO: Submit the following admission documents: • 1 Letter of Recommendation - The letter should be from someone who can attest to your ability to succeed in a graduatelevel program. You (or the person writing the letter) may submit it to graduateadmissions@mobap.edu. • Professional Statement - This essay (approximately 2 pages, double-spaced) will be reviewed for content and used to assess your written communication skills. Please visit mobap.edu/ graduate/admissions-application for specifics on the essay topic. • Official Transcripts - This includes all colleges or universities that you have attended. Transcripts are accepted electronically or by mail. Official transcripts must come directly from that institution to Missouri Baptist University.
