Frequently asked questions... What is the difference between ECE and DOT?
ECE is an acronym for the Economic Commission for Europe and with this mark the item is legal to use in Europe where as DOT is an acronym for the Department of Transportation and with this mark the item is legal to use in the USA however is illegal in Europe unless also marked with ECE. The ECE version of the Wrangler JK rear light works DIFFERENTLY to the DOT version as it has a separate red stop light and orange turn signal. The DOT version has no orange indicator.

What is PWM?
This is where the voltage to the lights is sent in pulses rather than being constant which increases bulb life and reduces energy consumption. On a standard incandescent bulb which does not have time to cool down between pulses this is not noticeable however LEDs react much quicker hence there is a flicker. All our Wrangler JK lights are designed to work with PWM so no extra parts required just plug and go.

What does LHT and RHT mean? and which one do I need?
LHT and RHT means Left Hand Traffic (Your vehicle drives on the left side of the road, mainly UK) and Right Hand Traffic (Your vehicle drives on the right side of the road, mainly Europe). By looking at the diagrams below you can easily work out which you will need.

What is DRL and how do I get it? DRL stands for Daytime Running Light. All 8700 headlights brought from Mobile Centre will contain our in-house developed wiring harness with full instructions on how to wire the DRL function.

Dual Burn What is Dual Burn? This technology combines your high and low beam when turning on your high beam.
By combining your high and low beam, the Dual Burn optics provide the driver with both widespread visibility along with a powerful punch of light down the road! What makes the Mobile Centre system unique? Simple, everything is plug and play for the JK (Jeep Wrangler 2007 – 2018) meaning no cutting, splicing or damage to the vehicle's wiring harness and systems. This in turn leaves any manufacturer warranty unaffected.
Front Position
The front position (parking) light on the JK has two wires (positive and negative) where the LED headlamp upgrade has a single wire for front position as it uses the negative of the headlight connection. Mobile Centre uses a specially moulded connector to match the original Jeep version allowing the kit to plug straight into the original harness – no splicing required or unused wires loose in the engine bay.
DRL (Daytime Running Light) The J Series LED headlamp contains a DRL function, but European JK’s as standard do not support this feature. Utilising the Mobile Centre kit allows this functionality to be added to any JK.
What does DRL and Front Position look like when they are on?

Each headlight is fitted with a connector to enable the installation of the simple wiring harness first and then the headlamps can be plugged in once completed.
Plug and Play Connectors The JK engine compartment fuse box’s official title is a TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module). This “TIPM” acts as a gateway taking commands from the switches and sensors on the vehicle and executing those commands via various circuits and relays located under the fuses. The TIPM was designed specifically to suit the standard equipment on the JK which means it is not easy splicing some wires to add stuff as this may cause overloading of a circuit or problems in other areas. Splicing will invalidate the warranty at the very least on the wires that have been spliced and occasionally on the entire wiring harness and its connected components.
Mobile Centre’s harness uses an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) terminal that clicks into a TIPM connector which allows power to be provided via dedicated fuse. All existing circuits remain untouched and the factory look and feel preserved.

Introducing the Trail 6™, a compact and powerful all-LED lighting system. Each light comes with 3 interchangeable lenses allowing the user to customise the light pattern for their individual needs. The Trail 6 Pro™ & Trail 6 Sport™ can be mounted into the factory front indicator location on Jeep Wrangler JK when using the Evo J3 headlamp (see page 10) with built in indicator.
