Welcome to the fourth issue of Hair Biz for 2023! We hope you’re as excited as we are about the incredible content, we have in store for you. It’s been an eventful period since our last issue, and we can’t wait to share all the highlights with you.
First and foremost, let’s talk about the Kings Birthday iconic hair weekend that took place in June in Sydney. It was an exhilarating few days filled with events that celebrated the artistry and innovation within our industry.
We kicked off the weekend with the AHC Industry Day on Friday, followed by the AHC Leadership Summit and Schmoozefest on Saturday.
The highlights of these events are covered extensively in this issue. On Sunday, we gathered at the stunning Carriageworks building for Hair Festival owned by BHA Media, which also hosted the 2023 AHIA Creative Finalists Gallery, showcasing the collection images with voting taking place for the People’s Choice Award.
The festivities continued on Sunday evening at the Wonderland event held at the Establishment Hotel in Sydney, where we had an absolute blast. Monday marked the second day of Hair Festival, and we wrapped up the incredible weekend with the AHIA Creative Gala event, proudly owned by us, mocha group, at The Star in Sydney.
With over 700+ attendees, this glamorous evening celebrated the winners of the AHIA Creative Awards, and their achievements are showcased in this very issue!
