I
began modeling in high school and after a brief hiatus during college, I have returned to the catwalk! I enjoy modeling because I find it very exciting and inspiring to be a part of someone’s innovative and creative works. I have experience with runway, print modeling, as well as producing local fashion events. I have met all types of people in the fashion industry and have enjoyed making many new friends. Modeling has provided me with confidence in other areas of life as well, reminding me that I have a world of possibilities available if I try hard enough to achieve them. I was born in Austin, TX with dual citizenship - US and Canada. My family and I travel every summer to our secluded cottage in northern Ontario although I have always lived in Austin. After traveling throughout North America and Western Europe, I appreciate the fact that Austin is a very unique and wonderful city to live in. I am currently a senior at the University of Texas.§

Ways to Make Money by TFP
By: Scott Gardner coauthor of Success as an Adult Internet Model
F
or all but the most famous models, it’s nearly impossible to pay your rent with signed 8 x 10’s. Everyone else needs cash. If you’ve decided to approach modeling as a business - a money-making venture - rather than as just a hobby, I’m sure you’re looking to get paid for your contribution to the artistic process. Most photographers, however, cannot afford to pay cash for every minute of time a model stands in front of their lens. This is why, for as long as there have been photographers and models, there has been a basic barter system. Many photographers offer to exchange time for prints (TFP) or time for CD (TFCD). This means you contribute your time and expertise in front of their camera, and in return they give you copies of the best of the work as either prints or as digital copies on a disk.
able thing they can offer you is the result of your collaborative time and efforts. All new models are an unknown quantity. They have a small or no portfolio, and no professional references. Look around - there are literally thousands of aspiring models coming into the industry every day, all scrambling to build a portfolio. Any given photographer simply can’t afford to pay every model who approaches him for work. However, in exchange for the chance to practice their art, the photographer should be willing to share your combined efforts with you as either prints or digital copies. Many “name” photographers are hired to produce specific images for advertisements. They may be working on developing a concept for the image, and simply need stand-ins so they can work out lighting, location, camera angles and a million other technical aspects. Or they may be testing out new lights, a new camera, or a new technique. For whatever reason, they need a body in front of their lens. Since they’re not getting paid to practice, they may not be able to afford to pay those who collaborate with them.
Many beginning models make the mistake of looking at the TFCD exchange as getting ripped off, especially if they know the photographer is a “name” in the industry, someone who usually gets paid for their work. While it’s true that there are some people out there who refuse to pay for anything they can get for free (we’ve all met people like that), there are many valid reasons for a lens jockey to offer TFCD. Every photographer who offers TFCD or TFP has their reasons. They usually have nothing to The first reason is that the photographer doesn’t do with you or any other particular model, so have enough money. This group usually in- don’t take an offer that doesn’t include cash as volves students, people on a fixed income, and an insult. But since we all have bills to pay, how beginning hobbyists. Book a paid shoot before or after your TFCD shoot. This is the easiest and fastest way to make money from a non-cash shoot. As soon as you book a TFCD shoot, go looking for photographers in the same area who pay. Tell them you’re coming into the area for a shoot, and are looking for other fill-in work while you’re there.
On commercial shoots where a photographer is looking to make his bones, most of the budget may go towards props, costuming, location and travel. You might be able to get other forms of compensation in addition to images. Depending on what their expenses are, you might get a hotel room, or be able to take home the costumes or props the shoot uses. You might be able to get free transportation to an exotic location, or just to somewhere else you need to be. Even a meal at a four star restaurant is worth something.
Scott Gardner
Don’t wait for someone else. Take all those non-paid images and add them to the paid area of your web site. You DO have your own web site, right? In addition to various portfolios and fan pages on social networking sites, you should have a web site with a paidmembers-only area. Make sure you credit the photographers.
Turn the best of your TFCD images into products your fans will pay for. Coffee mugs, mouse pads, and especially calendars are examples of products that people will be willing to pay for and show off at the same time, gaining you money and exposure. (You can send these out to photographers and advertising agencies as promotional items as well.)

Use an image from a non-cash shoot to promote your appearance at a function. If you help promote attendance, the organizers of almost any event will love you for it. Bad Summer Heat Hair
FRIZZY HAIR
Frizzy hair is caused by the hot and dry weather that takes away the moisture from your hair. That’s why conditioning is so important to the health of your hair. When using conditioner in the summer time, make sure that you leave it in your hair a little longer than usual. A extra couple minutes isn’t going to hurt you and it will only help bring back the moisture that your hair so preciously desires. Also, if you are not big on conditioner, olive oil will do a fantastic job for your hair. Another tip for preventing frizzy hair is, don’t use a hair dryer. It’s common sense the heat will dry your hair out just as soon as you put the moisture back in. The best tool for drying your hair is actually very basic; it’s called a towel. Once your towel is damp and your hair isn’t dry, just use another towel to rub dry. This will cause your hair to stick together, which will make it easier to style.

FLAT AND LIMP When the body is in a dry environment it causes the oils in your skin to seep out to hydrate itself. The production of these natural oils also happens at the scalp, making our hair look flat and wilted mainly because the hair is being weighed down. The best fix for this, is using baby powder or a dry shampoo to absorb oils on the scalp and in the roots. This alone, will greatly increase the life and volume of your hair. More importantly, your hair won’t have that greasy look to it. Another quick fixer upper, is to pull or brush your hair back and put it into a bun. If the problem still consists you still have two viable options. One, you can get highlights to give your hair a plump look or two, buy a wig. Wigs cover up problem hair and they can also give you an entirely new and interesting look.
STAY NATURAL
Letting curly hair curl and wavy hair wave isn’t always a bad thing. If you can, fix it up the best you can, without trying to hard. You will find that it will be easier to take care of in general. Everyone has the same problems with their hair so remember having a different look isn’t always a bad thing.
Another approach to staying natural is getting a good haircut. A good cut makes hair easier to deal with and style making your day better already. Just remember to keep it from growing out of its shape. Ideally women should get their hair cut at least every 5 weeks and men every 2 - 3. Fixing a bad hair day is always a pain and seems like a never ending task, but the bottom line is don’t let your bad hair ruin your day! §

Organic Vegetable Juice Diet
J
uice fasting is a healthy way to change what you want to look like quick and easy. This delicious juice concoction heightens spiritual awareness and relaxes your mind, body, and soul. It is also safer than water fasting, because it supports the body nutritionally while detoxifying the body for a quicker recovery time.
The Smiths
The organic vegetable diet is an outstanding way to cleanse the body of impurities. It, in no way, is a one shot deal to weight loss, but it will reduce your stomach size which thus reduces your intake level, another words you don’t eat as much food to regain the full feeling.§
During the cleansing process the body is finally able to clean out its entire system because it is not expending energy to digest food, thus causing the raw juice & vegetables to require no digestion & almost all their vital nutrients are assimilated directly in the bloodstream. The raw juices are extremely rich in vitamins & minerals and replenishes enzymes & natural sugars, being extremely beneficial for normalizing all the body functions.
Spinach Juice A simple starter Recipe. Ingredients 1 bunch spinach 2 apples 1/2 lemon, peeled (optional)
Once being on the “juice” for more than three days your body starts to adapt to the vegetables and doesn’t crave solid foods anymore causing your stomach to get a physiological rest, allowing the colon to shed old compacted material that have been sitting there waiting to cause future disease. Once the three days have passed your stomach is back to its original size and burning calories quicker than ever!
Directions Mix everything up in your mixer... Pretty simple huh?
So what actually is an organic vegetable juice diet? Honestly besides the obvious vegetable juice, you are also allowed to mix fruit juice into your daily concoction. Everything organic, everything healthy, but nothing solid. You are literally eating like a baby!
