Foreword The International Festival of Contemporary Poetry has come to its seventh edition, through which our persistent annual refusal to adapt to a situation where to make a poetry festival maybe does border with madness, has turned into a serious tradition that scares a bit even us in Brutal. Yes, that tradition scares us, maybe even more than Mayan prophecies about the end of the world, which could easily occur during the time of the festival. Perhaps it really is the end. For three days, six wonderful poets will read their poems for you, while the world collapses before your eyes, so that, directly from the closure of the festival, we can all go to heaven, to some happy hour, or wherever poets and their audience go on such a moment. Even if the end does not occur, and it turns out that someone has miscalculated the whole of it, we shall not feel stupid. We shall enjoy excellent poetry, have a good time, read this book from its front to its back cover, and remember all this forever. Thus, put your best clothes on, wash your hair, say goodbye to your close ones and become part of something big.

zrnato, šumno: tvoja mi slika (centimetar po centimetar) pada u širom otvoreno lice. ne mogu čekanje odbrojati na jednoj ruci, i crno-bijele noći. dešifriram svaki pokret, tvoja slika, zrnata, do posljednjeg trenutka, mogu odbrojati prste, noći bijele, imaš kožu, nos i: nemoguću kosu.

grainy, hissing: your picture falls (centimeter by centimeter) in my wide open face. I can’t count the waiting on one hand, black and white the nights. I’m decoding every move, your picture, grainy, up to the last moment, I can count the fingers the nights white, you have skin, nose, and: impossible hair.

The old babboon The old babboon watches the sunset with melancholy only one life and then never never again. I read these lines and various questions present themselves: for example, who wrote them? The only one here who speaks Swedish is Eija but she is dead.

*** I acuminated my spine with a clear desire to write the impossible is not to notice the nenuphars that grow downwards however Tarzan fell from liana and broke a leg so how come you’re so blind when you have 10 fingers I would get the chills if I would have anything to write it with tomorrow was a new day to come in a new working place finally on a coffee break I sharpened one finger and with it little by little started digging a tunnel to freedom.

PlaĹža pored bolnice Beach by the Hospital

Beach by the Hospital you exist because of hospitals, like hollow books for unite furniture in a showroom. kitchens are decorated with plastic fruits, surgeons are decorated with blood. your own tissue has conspired against you. the revolt was put on a platter, round and final like a medal won. well-deserved, you ran and came first. then you, tired, stretched on the beach. women tourists provokingly displayed their tits, each had two at least. sea left no room for the dead at the table, it immediately filled the hole, equally at the service, sick-nursing kind-heartedly, unfeeling like poetry.
